<p>Setting out to succeed with your own business requires managing your time well. If not done properly, not only will you waste time and not efficiently achieve your goals, but you may also find yourself losing clients, money, and/or possibly even the business, itself.</p>
<p>Here are three simple steps you could take in order to manage your time more effectively.</p>
<p><strong>Step One: Develop a Plan of Action</strong></p>
<p>You need to know what you want to accomplish and the time frame in which you want it accomplished. Developing an overall plan of action will aid you in achieving your goal. So, begin by writing down your primary goal and then writing down what steps you need to take in order to realize that goal. It sounds so simple, but most people don’t do this and become distracted and waste an inordinate amount of time. So, do not make the mistake of disregarding this important point.</p>

<p><strong>About Today&#8217;s Affirmation</strong><br />
  You can certainly  identify examples of unfriendliness and fear in the world. The extent to which you allow these examples to shape your beliefs and thoughts determines how you perceive the world. When you let one experience become the proof of how the world is, you continue to create experiences or lead yourself to experiences that give you further evidence or proof of the beliefs and thoughts. When you identify that you are holding beliefs and thoughts you do not desire,  let them be as easy to release as shedding a heavy coat on a hot day.</p>
<p><strong>About Your Process</strong><br />
  One of my delights in preparing the daily comments about these affirmations is knowing that so many of you are participating in the process. It strengthens the process for each one because others are reading through and working with the same thoughts. Of course, you have your own drama and uniqueness, yet are connected by an invisible web &#8212; and the World Wide Web. As you shed your own brand of heaviness or darkness today, know that others support you. Know that others have their own processes of purification and upliftment. As you walk your path of creating a friendly and loving world, you connect with others of like mind. Shed the resistance.</p>

<p><strong>About Today&#8217;s Affirmation</strong><br />
  We are all One, yet you are unique in your experiences and your ways of perceiving. You may be able to see or imagine that you see a visual representation of this affirmation. For example, you might see the face of someone as you affirm the cutting of negative bonds, or you might envision how the bonds are shaped. Or perhaps hearing sounds is helpful: the clipping of the scissors or the hack saw cutting the bonds or a sweet song from the angelic realm as the bonds are transmuted. Or perhaps other sensations  help to make this affirmation more real for you, for example, you might be aware of tingling where the attachment has been severed or feel lightness as the bonds are transmuted.</p>
<p><strong>About Your Process</strong><br />
  Today&#8217;s affirmation includes heavy words. If you have any resistance to these words, either (1) change the words or (2) honor the feelings and release the resistance. If you want to change the words, you might work with a less inflammatory word or phrase, such as &quot;non-love.&quot; Keep in mind, though, that hatred and retaliation and jealousy are emotional ties you might feel even though they are not usually socially acceptable. Have you not heard, or even said, &quot;No, you don&#8217;t really mean that you hate your brother / sister / anyone.&quot; But if you feel hatred in that moment, you either become confused or learn to withhold your feelings. Cut the non-love, by whatever name you recognize it. Let go. Release. Forgive.</p>

  Your beliefs create and/or lead you to create experiences that provide the memories that further substantiate those beliefs. I have no doubt whatsoever that you and all others are on this earth to love, to experience joy, to live in abundance, to sing and dance. I further believe that when you are not experiencing such a life, you are trapped in disempowering beliefs or giving your attention to fear and lack (and variations on these themes). So here is the challenge presented in today&#8217;s affirmation: release those thoughts and memories. Release the thoughts that oppose love by releasing resistance. Today. Period. Fini. Finished. Done. Gone. Complete. It is so. Amen. Now begin the new memories of positive ideas.</p>
<p><strong>About Your Process</strong><br />
  If you experience heavy or painful memories, I suggest that you &quot;breathe through&quot; them. With your out-breath you can more easily release; with your in-breath you can more easily draw in vibrant energy. During this week, allow the affirmations to support your release so that next week you can be more ready to receive. You will experience greater joy in your life when you empty out the beliefs / memories / thoughts that the world does things &quot;to&quot; you. This is the consciousness of a victim. You create your own experiences. Your experiences occur because of your beliefs. This concept is incredibly powerful to understand and embrace. &quot;You create your own reality&quot; is far more than just a popular expression. It is life &#8212; for you as well as for every other person, yielding magnificent diversity on the planet.</p>

<p><strong>About Today&#8217;s Affirmation</strong><br />
  When you are not in a loving space, it is usually because you have allowed conditions or circumstances or images or beliefs to keep you from loving. You may  know or not know what these conditions are. Using a general word like &quot;conditions&quot; can assist you in avoiding getting stuck in details, as the details can keep you further associated with not loving. A common childhood memory for many  is being punished or hurt in some way and told by the same person &quot;Remember, I love you&quot; or &quot;This is because I love you.&quot; This is a very confusing message for a child, usually carried into adulthood and passed on with similar behavior to another set of children. Love is love and it cannot hurt; hurt is the result of fear, which is non-love.</p>
<p><strong>About Your Process</strong><br />
  On February 1 and February 2, I presented you with two very powerful affirmations that I have given to many clients and workshop participants in one form or another over several years. Sometimes I assign these to be written (as described in &quot;<a href="http://www.mhmail.com/articles/writing-affirmations.html">Writing Affirmations for Empowerment</a>&quot;) over several days with encouragement that people adjust the wording as appropriate. The DailyAffirm Process, though,  moves to a new affirmation each day. You may find that you want to continue writing those statements that resonate most deeply for you, while at the same time you move day by day with the new affirmations. Writing is a rite, right?</p>

<p><strong>About Today&#8217;s Affirmation</strong><br />
  It might seem strange to think that vows made by earlier generations can keep you in limitation today. I recall the very first time the idea of rescinding outdated vows came through me for a client. When I said, &quot;I can see in your energy field outdated vows of poverty and chastity,&quot; tears came to her eyes. I dissolved the vows energetically, gave her some exercises to further assist her process, and she started to manifest what she desired in her life. Most of humanity has come to believe in limitation and separation as the truth. Today,  invite the angels to lift these heavy illusions from you. Believe in love. Believe in life.</p>
<p><strong>About Your Process</strong><br />
  Each affirmation I present to you has energetic components, that is, parallel representation in the energy field. A vow of limitation may present itself in the energy field as a heavy weight on the shoulders or as a choking at the throat or as another sensation. You might consider if there are any vows you have made that  keep you from loving fully. &quot;Vows&quot; need not be made only in religious or marital ceremonies. You might have made spontaneous vows. For example, &quot;I&#8217;ll never speak to you again&quot; is a vow of silence which can be very powerful when made with great intensity. Note that &quot;never&quot; is a very long time. Also, statements that begin with &quot;I will always&quot; have the impact of vows, especially when said or thought repeatedly.</p>

<p><strong>About Today&#8217;s Affirmation</strong><br />
The first sentence of today&#8217;s affirmation is one variation of the &quot;basic releasing&quot; affirmation to assist you in letting go, forgiving, cleansing, and releasing resistance. The second sentence has a dual purpose: (1) to ease the process because releasing affirmations can generate extremely deep releases, so it is important to include the idea of effortlessness and (2) to counteract the tendency you may have to slow down your growth process by trying to figure everything out. It is helpful to affirm that it is acceptable to not understand, because this releasing is not simply a mental process. Let go; most of all,  let go of resistance. </p>
<p><strong>About Your Process</strong><br />
  Giving yourself permission to do something can be a crucial step in your journey. In today&#8217;s affirmation, feel free to change the word &quot;fear&quot; to any word or idea that, for you, is a barrier to living in love. Here are a few examples: &quot;non-love&quot; or &quot;anything that gets in the way of my loving&quot; or a specific memory or habit or a relationship or a pattern of behavior. You might find that you benefit more from being general than specific. And then, release. Trust the Universe to handle the details.</p>

In this message, I will give you an overview of the next seven days of the DailyAffirm Process. The sidebars provide you with additional information. Read the messages Day by Day or, simply check in when the spirit moves you. <p><strong>About Your Over-arching Intention</strong><br />
  If you have not already done so, please identify your <a href="http://dailyaffirm.com/intention">over-arching intention</a> for love. That is, develop a statement that guides you in the exploration and embodiment of love. Your statement may include a definition of love. &quot;Love&quot; is a word used often in our culture to express affection &quot;Love ya&quot; or taste &quot;I love pizza&quot; or sex &quot;Let&#8217;s make love&quot; or scoring in tennis &quot;love.&quot; Intention is the energy or consciousness from which actions emerge. </p>
<p>If you are uncertain how to write this intention, just make an attempt. Keep it simple. You have 28 days to work with the intention and the theme, so let your statement change and deepen. Here are a few suggestions for statements of intention about the theme of love: </p>
<ul>
<li>To love myself unconditionally.</li>
<li>To radiate love in all that I do.</li>
<li>To remember that I am love.</li>
<li>To realize that love is everywhere.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>About Releasing/Cleansing Affirmations and Love </strong></p>
<p>  This week, the idea is to empty out anything that gets in the way of love. You release, let go, and forgive. Cleanse your thoughts of fear, anger, jealousy, hatred, retaliation, and unfriendliness. Allow yourself to be purified, asking that the release be effortless. Dump anything that gets in the way of living in unconditional love, recognizing that from time to time you will touch negative feelings to tell you that you need to reconnect with unconditional love. Let go of the past to live fully in the present. Release resistance.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>About Your Process in the First Week</strong><br />
  I recommend that you write this week&#8217;s affirmations, if such a process appeals to you. <p><strong>About the Affirmations in the First Week</strong><br />
  If I were to select the definitive affirmation for the week to represent releasing and cleansing for Love it would be the affirmation for February 6: &quot;I move my attention away from thoughts that suggest this is an unfriendly or fearful world. I willingly shed the heaviness, like a heavy coat on a hot day.&quot; I love the image of this because it is so obvious what to do with a heavy coat on a hot day: drop it!&nbsp; </p>

<p><strong>What is concentration?</strong> What do you know about it?</p>
<p>Concentration is the ability to direct one&#8217;s attention in accordance with one&#8217;s will. It means control of the attention. It is the ability to focus the mind on one subject, object or thought, and at the same time exclude from the mind every other unrelated thoughts, ideas, feelings and sensations.</p>

</div><p>It also means the ability to do one thing at a time, instead of jumping from one subject to another and losing attention, time, and energy.</p>
<p>Concentration is a state, in which one&#8217;s whole attention is engrossed in one thing only, and being oblivious to everything else. During concentration, the mind focuses on the object of concentration, and only one thought occupies the mind. The whole energy of the mind becomes concentrated on this one thought.</p>
<p>The ability to command the mind and control the attention is not common, and requires training. Most people lack the ability to control their attention and focus the mind exclusively on one subject for any length of time. They can&#8217;t command their mind to concentrate, whenever they want to. However, concentration is not uncommon activity. It happens almost everyday, to almost everyone, but it is more of a spontaneous and uncontrolled ability.</p>

  One of the primary principles of the  book on which these affirmations are based is &quot;today is an opportunity.&quot; In fact, every situation is an opportunity. Every minute is an opportunity. Every second is an opportunity. &quot;An opportunity for what?&quot; you might ask. &quot;Anything you desire!&quot; So, you come to the end of the affirmations about hope, which set the foundation for a powerful year. Resonate with hope.</p>
<p><strong>About Your Process</strong><br />
  So, what do you desire? What is your most hopeful thought about hope? I suggest that you re-visit your over-arching intention for hope that you developed at the beginning of the month. In addition, if you have made any notes about the various affirmations or about your process, review those. Reflection is part of the process of integrating and embodying the theme of hope.</p>
<p><strong>About Our Next Theme</strong><br />
When you feel ready, please establish an <a href="http://dailyaffirm.com/intention">over-arching intention</a> for February&#8217;s theme: Love. Remember, it is up to you do determine your intention, the meaning of the theme, and the application of the ideas into your life.
