Quotes to Motivate You

Motivation is important for success. If you lack motivation, you will quit what you are doing. I have discovered the quotes, are not only sentences full of wisdom, especially when you read between the lines, but they can motivate and inspire. This one of the reasons why there is a quote directory at this website.

What is motivation? It is the inner power that pushes one toward taking action and doing things, and is fuelled by desire and ambition.

Here are a few quotes to motivate you:

Everything you want is out there waiting for you to ask. Everything you want also wants you. But you have to take action to get it.
- Jack Canfield -

Most people are quitters. This is wonderful news for those of us who decide to be successful. It means that if we stick to what we are doing, we will, in a very short time, be ahead of the multitudes.
- Andrew Matthews -

When you fail you learn from the mistakes you made and it motivates you to work even harder.
- Natalie Gulbis –

Motivation is a mystery. Why does one salesperson see his first prospect at seven in the morning and another salesperson is just getting out of bed at eleven? I don’t know. It’s part of the mysteries of life.
- Jim Rohn -

Move out of your comfort zone. You can only grow if you are willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable when you try something new.
-Brian Tracy -

Continuous effort – not strength or intelligence – is the key to unlocking our potential.
- Liane Cardes -

Everything Starts as a Dream, but Requires Action

May 11th, 2012 Remez Sasson Posted in Uncategorized No Comments »

By Remez Sasson

101 Motivational Tips for SuccessHere is an excerpt from the book 101 Motivational Tips for Success:

“Everything starts as a dream, a thought, a mental image, but this is just the first step. If you stay there, you will enjoy your dream, but one day you will see that you are standing still, like a person watching a beautiful and inspiring movie, over and again, but not going out to the real world to create and live what he or she has seen in the movie.”

“Are you waiting for some miracle to change your life? Sometimes, miracles do happen, but why not make the miracles happen? You can create miracles, when you know what you want, adopt a positive attitude, and take action.”

“Help the miracle happen, by participating in its creation, by planning, visualizing, expecting, and acting. When you contribute to making things happen, they eventually happen, sometimes quite fast, and sometimes, gradually, over a period of time.”

What do you conclude from this excerpt?

To achieve a dream you need to take action. For most people, it looks like a difficult step, because you don’t know where to start and what to do. It is here that most people stop and don’t go further. The people who succeed are those that think, plan, read, and look around them to see open doors. In order to see the open doors you need motivation and faith in yourself.

Do You Think that You Lack Enough Concentration?

April 22nd, 2012 Remez Sasson Posted in Uncategorized No Comments »

By Remez Sasson

Do you feel that you lack enough concentration, and would like to strengthen it?

Lack of concentration seems to be very common, especially nowadays, with so many distractions, so much information, gadgets, advertising, and products that attract your attention in so many ways.

This happens everywhere, at work, at school and at home. Walking, eating, exercising, studying, and almost activity, are done with a divided attention, and therefore, not so efficiently, and at the risk of making mistakes and errors.

What is concentration? It is the ability to control the attention, choose on what to focus it, and reject irrelevant thoughts and distractions. It enables you to become the master of your mind, and not the opposite.

Can You Really Attract Into Your Life Anything You Want?

April 16th, 2012 Remez Sasson Posted in Uncategorized No Comments »

Getting What You WantBy Remez Sasson

Can you really attract into your life anything you want?

Can you really use the power of your thoughts and imagination to create what you want?

Does the law of attraction really work?

Are all the claims of people who write and teach about the law of attraction true?

If you followed the instructions found in books or articles, you might have sometimes succeeded, and sometimed you did not. It is also possible that some of you could not succeed at all, and quit this subject, with a feeling of disappointed.

Why some people succeed, and some don’t? If the law of attraction is a law of nature, why it sometimes works, and sometimes it doesn’t? Can you really attract into your life anything you want?

The answer is simple.

  • Not every article or book provides the necessary instructions for correctly using the law of attraction.
  • People tend to skip instructions.
  • It is not enough just to visualize. You must also have a strong desire, an open mind to recognize opportunities, and have the courage and willingness to use them.
  • How many times did you say or think you wanted something, but you didn’t really want it? The law of attraction, which is one of the fundamentals of creative visualization, requires some work and action, not just thinking for a few minutes and waiting for miracles to happen.

New Logo and Header

April 11th, 2012 Remez Sasson Posted in Uncategorized No Comments »

By Remez Sasson

If you have visited my website or blog in the last few days, you must have noticed that I have removed the image at the top of the website/blog, and replaced it with a new logo, made of an image, the website address, and a sentence describing the website/blog. The new logo was designed by my wife, Dorina.

I have also added a sentence beneath the logo (similar to the one I used some time ago), describing the website topics/subjects, “Awaken the wisdom and power within you”.

I have also put the search button at the top of the page, so as to save space on the right column of the pages.

The former header, with the picture of the sea and mountain, was a bit dark, and took too much space. Now, without the picture, the website and blog, in my opinion look brighter.

Wealth Secret: 3 Ways to a Wealth Mentality that Works

April 5th, 2012 Remez Sasson Posted in Uncategorized No Comments »

By Dr. Rafael Cornelio

The law of attraction sounds simple. Think positive thoughts and good things will happen. This particular wealth secret almost sounds too simple, doesn’t it? But in the real world, rainbow dreams and sunny quotations just aren’t enough to manifest wealth beyond reason.

Here are 3 ways to create the wealth mentality you need for the abundance you deserve.

Hone Your Mind

The occasional “I want to be a money magnet” is not enough to build the wealth beyond reason you’re looking for. Don’t get sucked into thinking that haphazard positive thoughts, conjured up only when you remember to do it, are going to foster a wealth mentality.

If you want to create wealth behind reason, you’ll need to focus your mind consistently.

Whether you use wealth affirmations, visualizations, or meditation, mark your schedule and do it every single day. If your day is super-packed with jobs, kids, and other responsibilities, you may need to get creative with your focus time. Try this wealth secret: Take a few extra minutes in the bathroom. Adding just 3 or 4 minutes to a bathroom break can give you extra time to focus in a place where the kids aren’t as likely to bother you.

The State of Inner Freedom

March 26th, 2012 Remez Sasson Posted in Uncategorized No Comments »

By Remez Sasson

A sense of inner freedom is one of the characteristics of spiritual awakening. This freedom has nothing to do with one’s circumstances, location, financial situation or any other external situation. It is an inner feeling, accompanied by a calm mind. Actually, one of the requirements for true spiritual awakening and for a sense of inner freedom is the ability to silence the mind at will.

The mind is never still. It always thinks, analyzes, comments, and conducts inner talks. It thinks according to past programming and education, and therefore, moves in a predetermined path. There is no freedom in this situation.

Freedom starts when you can rise above the mind’s activities, and this can happen when you can quiet the mind. To some extent, this situation happens during deep sleep, but the aim should be to experience this state when fully awake, while talking, eating, working, walking, and in every other situation.

My wife and I, have collected a selection of Buddha quotes, and created a new, free ebook – “101 Buddha Quotes”. Each quote contains a wealth of wisdom, inspiration, and practical advice. Read the quotes, think about the wisdom they contain, or use them for meditation, and you will find inspiration, peace, and wisdom.

Since it is in PDF format, you can save it on your computer and laptop, and also on iPad, iPhone and smartphones.

Here are a few quotes from the book:

- To be angry is to let others’ mistakes punish yourself.

- What we are today comes from our thoughts of yesterday, and our present thoughts build our life of tomorrow: Our life is the creation of our mind.

- Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened.

- You will always be getting praise and blame, but do not let either affect the poise of the mind.

- There is nothing so disobedient as an undisciplined mind, and there is nothing so obedient as a disciplined mind. There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth; not going all the way, and not starting.

Are You the Creator of Your Thoughts?

March 20th, 2012 Remez Sasson Posted in Uncategorized No Comments »

By Remez Sasson

Have you ever examined your thoughts and beliefs and wondered, why do you think these particular thoughts, and why hold to those beliefs?

Have you ever thought whether the thoughts you think are yours, or whether they are other people’s ideas, or thoughts you have unconsciously picked from your environment?

How much has your education and upbringing shaped your mindset?
How much TV and the news shape your opinions?

In other words, are you the creator of your thoughts, or do they come from outside of you?

Most people believe that the thoughts that they think, originate from them, and are part of them. Is this true?

A lot of people protect their beliefs and manner of thinking, and resent people opposing them. Have you ever questioned yourself, what are these beliefs and whence they came?

Consciousness, Awareness and the Mind

March 12th, 2012 Remez Sasson Posted in Uncategorized No Comments »

By Remez Sasson

Someone wrote to me a few days ago, saying that he read the article You Are not the Mind, but the article made him feel uncomfortable. He couldn’t accept the idea that he is not his mind. He asked, “What does the word mind mean? How can it be that I not my mind? Can you give me more information about “who I am,” and what is the mind? I don’t see the difference.”

For people who have been meditating for a long time, and for people conversant with Sri Ramana Maharshi and with the teachings of nonduality, this is not a strange idea.

The brain is the physical vessel of the mind. The mind creates thoughts, and thoughts manifest as words. Different thoughts pass the mind all the time. Can you say that you are these passing thoughts?

The mind is composed of the thoughts you think. What happens when you stop thinking, such as when in deep sleep? Where is the mind then, and if you are the mind, where are you? Did you cease to exist?

But you shall keep trying as it is utmost important for personality development to have a positive attitude and faith in yourself. So here are some ways to be positive and work towards a healthier lifestyle.

From a Teenager, to a Parent of Teenagers

March 2nd, 2012 Remez Sasson Posted in Uncategorized No Comments »

By Dorina Sasson

Everyone says that it is not easy to be a parent of a teenager.

Nowadays, as a loving mother of adolescent twins, I’m telling you that raising two teenagers is not simple, not simple at all.

I remember myself as a teenager many years ago. I was an average student, had friends, and was not a troublemaker, yet my mother seemed to be discontented with my behavior, often accusing me of misbehaving, which I truly didn’t understand why. Sometimes, she used to bribe me with all sorts of presents, on the condition that I improve my behavior.

I vividly remember myself trying to do the best I could. I washed the dishes, but often broke a plate or a glass. Once, I tried to cook something, but I burned the food together with the pot. Fearing what my mother would say, I hid the burnt pot deep in the storeroom, so that it won’t be found. It was only ten years later, when we moved to another apartment that my parents found it. On another occasion, I helped my mother to clean the house, but I was in a hurry to wash the floor quickly, so I broke a big ceramic jar, which my mother laboriously, and at length, decorated with paintings.

Looking back at those days, I truly tried to do my best. However, my parents had a different perspective on what was “a good and proper behavior.”
