October 31, Positive Affirmation for Freedom

Today is an opportunity for freedom.

… Greetings! Our theme is Freedom at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. These last days of the month we work with integrating and embodying abundance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
Today, as every day, offers many opportunities. Every event is an opportunity. Freedom can be woven into each conversation, each action, each breath. Let your minutes fill with freedom. Let freedom express itself through you. As you come to the end of the month that is dedicated to freedom, acknowledge that the energy of freedom is with you at all times. Remind yourself to tap into it and keep it active in your life.

About Your Process
If freedom comes to your door today (perhaps in disguise or costume), would you recognize it? And what would it say to you? These are interesting questions for you to explore, especially if you still feel in bondage or limited in a particular part of your life. You want to be certain you can recognize freedom even when you are not reminded each day with the affirmations. Do not leave freedom behind with the passing of the month. Make a contract with freedom so that you are clear how it is to be in your life, how it is to manifest as time unfolds.

About the New Month
Tomorrow begins a new month and a new topic. I encourage you to develop an over-arching intention for the new topic. I have found that November’s topic is the most likely one of all twelve to challenge most readers. Your level of consciousness determines the relationship you have to each topic, especially this one. By "surrender" I mean to surrender to your higher consciousness; I mean to surrender to your inner knowingness. I mean to surrender resistance. You will further define surrender for yourself as part of the process. During the first week, Dailyaffirm focuses on Releasing/Cleansing Affirmations.

Make this a freeing day!

"I integrate freedom into every aspect of life."

Often you may feel free in one part or even several parts of your life, yet not free in another part. This affirmation assists you in letting your experience of freedom spill into every aspect. You can more easily integrate when you stop or slow down, when you rest or sleep, when you relax or play. It is more difficult to integrate when you are still collecting more data, acting, or speaking. So, let go of attempting to learn more about freedom; instead, allow freedom to become an integral part of your life. Live freedom. Become freedom. Be free.

About Your Process
You may find you want to adjust the wording to be specific about which area of your life you want to integrate freedom. These last days of October are an ideal time to re-visit your over-arching intention for freedom. Reflect on your personal learnings through this month. Find your own preferred tempo and processes for integrating. Toss out the extraneous. Keep the essential. Deepen the experiences.

"Yes to Freedom!"

Simply yes. Yes to freedom. When you keep your attention on what you desire with positive thoughts, less attention or energy is given either to your desires with negative thoughts or to those things that you do not desire. With millions of choices and possibilities, your job is to recognize the situations that feel good for you, the ones you want to say "yes" to. Whether you use the word or not, your attention to a thing is the equivalent to saying yes.

About Your Process
So, to what do you say "yes" today? Will you say "yes" to freedom? Consider the many yeses that lead you to true freedom. Every decision is a choice. Do not fall victim to the erroneous and currently-popular belief that "I am supposed to say ‘yes’ to everything that comes to me." Instead, know that you are to discern whether those things that come to you are the things that you desire, and say yes to them. You will know those things by their resonance. You have a particular resonance. Freedom has a particular resonance. Every thing has a resonance. Do you know when to say "yes, this is for me"? If so, remember that it is your attention that says yes.

Make this an affirmative day!

"I act with purposeful awareness of freedom."

… Greetings! Our theme is Freedom at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming abundance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
The idea of "purposeful awareness" is deep. The purpose of all the affirmations of the DailyAffirm Process so far this month is to assist you in embodying today’s affirmation. Breathe deeply and act with purposeful awareness of freedom today. Let the ideas of true freedom become a part of every act you take. You no longer need to "wish" or "hope" for freedom — act in freedom. Act while being aware of freedom. Act consciously. This is Freedom.

About Your Process
Do you ever feel unconscious? Of course there are times that you do things so automatically that you are not aware when doing them nor remember afterwards that you did them. For certain activities this may be a blessing. However, when you are practicing to be aware, it is important that you be aware of the little actions as well as the big ones. You can practice by being aware of brushing your teeth: taste the toothpaste, feel the bristles against your teeth and gums, look at yourself in the mirror (It’s o.k. to say, "Hi, beautiful!"), notice every nuance of this familiar act. As you continue to practice awareness with everyday acts, it is easier to become aware of freedom.

About the Next Type of Affirmations
For the next three days, we work with affirmations that assist in integrating and embodying the idea of freedom. Today is a good day to check for a final action you might want to take to demonstrate freedom. A re-visit of your over-arching intention for freedom also allows you to integrate more fully all that you have experienced this month.

Make this a watchful day!

"I let every act be an act of freedom."

To take full advantage of this affirmation, associate every action — words spoken, ideas thought, deeds done, changes made — with freedom. A powerful alternative statement is: Every act is an act of freedom. You can associate freedom with choosing to make a telephone call or choosing to not make a telephone call. You can claim that eating that hot fudge sundae is as much an act of freedom as not eating that hot fudge sundae. Declare you are free; give your attention to freedom; allow appearances of bondage to drop away. Persevere. Consciousness can shift instantly (as in that instantaneous aha or eureka!); however, do not look for quick fixes and shallow manipulation. Continue to focus on or to return your focus to freedom so that curiosity about non-freedom diminishes.

About Your Process
As you sensitize yourself to freedom — using these affirmations as well as other approaches you find effective — you also assist others in being more aware of freedom. While it is not your job to change anyone (you cannot, anyway!), your presence can stimulate change in others. You are a role model for others, no matter what your actions. What do your actions say about you? What do you say about your actions?

Make this an aha day!

"I draw a circle of freedom around me.
I fill the circle with love and light.
"

… Greetings! Our theme is Freedom at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming abundance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
The concept expressed in today’s affirmation is truly a favorite of mine. It is so simple: draw a circle! And fill it with love and light. The circle is a symbol which has no beginning and no end. A sphere is also a circle which defines space, adding another dimension. In this world of a vast array of thoughts and experiences, it is helpful to be clear about what you want to entertain within your own circle. As your circle becomes more and more expanded with love and light, definitions and circles become clearer.

About Your Process
As you near the end of these affirmations that support you in claiming your freedom, consider what else you need to know or do or discover to be truly free. Perhaps you wish to explore the boundaries in your life: are they filled with love and light or with some other substance? Are they impermeable, semi-permeable or transparent? Perhaps you want to explore a particular situation in which you believe you need to be freed: draw a circle around that situation and fill it with love and light. Remember also that if you find any affirmation in DailyAffirm to be unacceptable to you, rewrite it! This one, for example, you might wish to re-write as "I encircle myself with love and light."

"I manifest all things in association with freedom.
I am the creator of my experiences."

In your "acting/claiming" mode, remind yourself that freedom is a key component to your manifestations. We are all One. The principles that operate for each, operate for all. One of the "actions" DailyAffirm works with repeatedly is using thoughts and language to make change. If you experience something you do not desire, you can create a new experience by changing the thoughts that have your attention, which are also reflected in the words you use to describe your conditions. Of course, you are "free" to think about whatever you desire; however, if you think about how "bad" everything is, you simply create more that you experience as "bad."

About Your Process
Each time the telephone rings today, stop and remind yourself of the day’s affirmation. This is a grand association! While feeling that you are claiming your own power and freedom, you also hold an intention for your caller to be in his or her power and freedom. Monitor your thoughts so that you create the freedom that you deserve. If you find yourself thinking how difficult something is, stop! (Remember, stop is an action!) Think about the situation in a more positive way, talk about it more positively, and act in alignment with the thoughts and words. You will feel better and your situation will change. Let go of trying to manipulate the situation, as that is fruitless, except to create more of the same.

Make this a thoughtful day!

"I claim my freedom. Today, I claim my power."

Sometimes you may think you have claimed your power and freedom, yet you feel disempowered and restricted. This is usually because so many models of "claiming" and "power" are about grabbing something from someone else. Being aggressive and rude is not freedom, though surely you are free to be aggressive and rude. Sometimes you may believe you need to be aggressive to be "free from" something which is destructive. Aggressive actions in such situations can propel you. However, after you are "freed from" the disempowering situation, you must let go of the aggressive or greedy or abrasive energy that has propelled you to take a stand or create boundaries. Once "freed from" a bondage, you are not truly free until you turn your attention to something pleasing to propel you.

About Your Process
Today is the day to claim your freedom and your power. If you feel timid about this, then find ways to prepare yourself for the day when you are ready. Focus on freedom generally or on a specific aspect of freedom. With the same clarity and succinctness of today’s affirmation, embrace your freedom and your power.

Make this a healthy day!

"I act with freedom in my heart.
I speak with freedom on my lips.
I walk with freedom in my feet."

… TeleSeminar in two weeks. See below.

…. Greetings!

This affirmation assists you in bringing freedom into your physical body by touching three key aspects of life: love, communication, movement. Freedom that is felt in the heart reveals itself in loving actions. Freedom that flows through the lips tells a story of hope and empowerment. Freedom that dances in the feet takes you to the places where you experience relief and joy. Let freedom touch every part of you so you can experience it with all your senses, feelings, and thoughts.

About Your Process
Today as you speak about freedom, you may also want to be attentive to how you and others speak about the opposite of freedom: limitations or bondage. Notice how language is used to empower or disempower yourself or others. You may even find yourself arguing for limitations — if so, notice, so that you take the first step in breaking the pattern. Witness, also, how and when you feel freedom in your heart, in your feet, and in other parts of you. As you observe yourself today (as you are a witness to your own actions), be uncritical and gentle with yourself. You may notice some things that you have not noticed before. Bless the witness and release anything that you do not need so that your actions today can be aligned with your intention.

Make this a touching day!

October 22, Positive Affirmation for Freedom

"Freedom energizes my actions.
I step out in freedom.
"

… Greetings! Our theme is Freedom at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming abundance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
What a wonderful concept to consider that freedom energizes your actions. Today, step out of distorted illusion. Step into freedom. So much of what humanity has come to believe as truth is the result of repeated focus of attention. All distortions are manifested by the misuse of energy or free will. Energy that is used to hurt or harm or trick or ridicule is energy misused. Many argue that they are "free" to hurt or harm or trick or ridicule (etc.), yet it is important to understand that such actions distort manifestations and generate dis-ease and create the appearance of limitations and other illusions. Today’s affirmation helps you to use the energy of freedom to propel yourself out of anything that is false or limiting. Step, step, step. The dance of freedom.

About Your Process
Today, you may want to consider what other concepts or feelings or values can work together with freedom to energize your actions. Or, what other concepts or feelings or values you desire to energize your actions. Step into them; step out of that which you do not desire or need. As you move through your day, identify the dance that you do with others. Do you step together? With the music? And what kind of group dance do you prefer? And how do you describe your solo dance? What is your career dance? What is the dance you do with trusted friends? What is your freedom dance?

Greetings! This message serves as an overview for the acting and claiming affirmations of this fourth week and the integrating and embodying of the last three days of the month. Read the information on the sidebars for additional information. The messages will be here for you Day by Day. Check in as often as you want; participate in the ways that are appropriate for you. If you prefer to receive daily alerts by email, please subscribe to our email list (check the top tab or the navigation bar). Make your process work for you.

About Acting/Claiming Affirmations and Freedom
It is natural to associate freedom (or lack of freedom) with actions — your own and others’. You can measure your level of freedom or your perception of your level of freedom by the things you do and say. During this week, you have the opportunity to decide what actions to take so that you can claim your freedom. These can be little acts, tiny steps; or these can be bigger acts, stronger steps. You do not need to push beyond your comfort level or you may decide that the encouragement of this week’s affirmations allows you to be courageous beyond your imagination. Act in the name of pure freedom. Act in the consciousness of freedom.

About Your Process in the Fourth Week
What is the one act that symbolizes freedom for you? Perhaps it is an act that you see portrayed in a film or acted out by a neighbor or demonstrated by a friend. Perhaps it is an act you have hoped you will someday have the courage to take. Perhaps you consider it big; perhaps, little. Perhaps it is not an action in the conventional sense of the word. As you identify this act or non-act, also identify a symbol that you can easily remember: a circle or triangle, a flower or tree, a name or face, a phrase or word, a sound or song. Experience this symbol as you reflect on the act of freedom. Any time you feel restricted or limited, connect with the symbol and feel freedom come into your consciousness.

About the Affirmations in the Fourth Week
If I were to select the definitive affirmation for the week to represent being and intending for freedom, I would choose the affirmation for October 23: "I act with freedom in my heart. I speak with freedom on my lips. I walk with freedom in my feet." For me, this affirmation demands alignment on all levels, especially heart, speech, and actions.

About Integrating/Embodying Affirmations and Freedom
These affirmations help you to take time to incorporate the energy and concepts of freedom into your life. Reflect upon, meditate with, and sort out ideas about freedom. Those ideas that fit, keep and embody. Those ideas that do not fit, dismiss or put aside knowing they will return if needed at a later time. Exercise your free will in all parts of your life, including this DailyAffirm Process and other aspects of your personal development.

About Your Process in the Remaining Days
As you reflect on the last four weeks, what did you find the most meaningful? In addition to learning about freedom, what else have you learned? What do you want to release? What do you want to keep? What more do you wish to know about freedom? How can you experience what you desire to know?

Make this a courageous week-plus!

"Freedom and empowerment enhance all my thoughts and feelings."

… Greetings! Our theme is Freedom at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This third week of the month we work with our being and intention for abundance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information.

About Today’s Affirmation
This simple statement has a profound consciousness which supports and underpins it. As you sink deeply into the energy field of the thoughts and feelings that are enhanced by freedom and empowerment, notice that they are so much richer and more satisfying than thoughts and feelings that are created with fear or doubt. Allow yourself to be in this rich consciousness, as you continue to affirm freedom for yourself and freedom for others and freedom for all. It is your birth right to be free. Let your thoughts and your feelings free and empower you.

About Your Process
As you resonate and work with this affirmation, you will uplift your thoughts and feelings. Freedom is not merely a word with seven letters. Freedom represents an energy that frees. The word "freedom" represents and re-presents a consciousness that can be transformational. Try chanting "freedom, freedom, freedom" and feel the difference in your body, in your whole energy field. Continue to chant, "freedom, freedom, freedom" throughout the day. Notice how different you feel, how different you are.

About the Next Type of Affirmations
This is the last of the Being/Intending affirmations this month. Before moving to the next type of affirmations (Acting/Claiming), reflect on how you have deepened your understanding of your over-arching intention for freedom. Be certain you have clarity about freedom before you affirm actions and make claims.

TeleSeminar "How to Find Your Center in the Midst of Chaos"
Thursday, November 6, 7 pm Eastern time (4 pm Pacific time)

In this TeleSeminar, you will clarify your self-responsibility, enhance your relationship to chaos, and expand your options for empowered responses. The ideas are applicable to all situations — not just when you’re in the midst of chaos — and generally enhance your personal development and growth. Check our Teleseminar Description Page for Details on Registration.

Make this a transformational day!

October 20, Positive Affirmation for Freedom

October 20th, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Freedom, freedom, positive affirmation No Comments »

"I understand the meaning of freedom for myself
and I allow others to define freedom for themselves."

Freedom does not mean freedom for only a privileged class. Freedom is a personal choice. This may be a hard concept to grasp when you see so much evidence of violence and poverty and hunger and injustice. Such things are manifestations of human thoughts experimenting with so-called "freedom" that is negative rather than positive. To be "free" to kill your neighbors is not the purpose of free will. The divine will is so grand that you are all free when you live in its consciousness. Just as it is important to not limit the divine with your thoughts, so too, it is important to not limit freedom with your thoughts. You are so free that you can choose non-freedom.

About Your Process
Consider the meaning of freedom. What does freedom mean to you? What does freedom mean to others? You may find that your own understanding of freedom can be deepened by asking someone what freedom means to her or him. As you ask yourself or others, listen to the answers and probe more deeply. Follow up questions may be something like "…and what else?" Or, "…and what does that really mean to you?" Without commenting on or evaluating the content of the answer, simply invite yourself and/or the other person to go deeper. Today is a good day to remind yourself of your over-arching intention for freedom.

Make this an understanding day!

October 19th, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Freedom, freedom, positive affirmation No Comments »

"I remember freedom.
I remember who I Am. I am free."

Ah, yes, I remember. I re-member. I remember who I am. This affirmation is not about remembering who you are by names that represent your human identity (Hello, I’m Jane Smith), even though your names may be very freeing. Nor is this affirmation about remembering who you are by what you do (I’m an engineer), even though your job may be quite freeing. This remembering you do today with the help of this affirmation is about re-connecting with the depth of the freedom of your soul, knowing the whisper of your soul that identifies you through eternity. Remember who you are by knowing who you are. This is deep freedom.

About Your Process
Do you sometimes have a hard time remembering dates or facts? You may even sometimes feel embarrassed that you have forgotten something you or someone else believe is important. The remembering or forgetting of such details is one type of memory. Today is a good day to forgive yourself for any forgetting that created discomfort. And now, turn to the deeper remembering that is suggested by today’s affirmation. Who are you? Take a deep breath, close your eyes, and ask yourself, "Who am I?" Allow an answer to flow into your awareness from deep inside you. Take another deep breath and again ask yourself, "Who am I?" Continue to ask yourself until you can feel the freedom of your inner spirit. Know that you are free.

Make this a memorable day!

October 18, Positive Affirmation for Freedom

October 18th, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Freedom, freedom, positive affirmation No Comments »

"My mission is to bring freedom to my world.
I hold an intention to embody freedom.
"

… Greetings! Our theme is Freedom at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This third week of the month we work with our being and intention for abundance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information.

About Today’s Affirmation
"Mission" is a popular idea these days. Organizations write mission statements and individuals seek a life mission. To my way of thinking, a mission already is; that is, you do not "create" it or "develop" it, although, of course, you do create, write, or develop a statement about a mission. I believe the life mission of everyone is the same: to experience joy. Joy is a quality of being rather than doing. Bringing freedom to your world is a worthy mission, a purpose that may present itself in surprising ways; staying joyous as you do it is an art. This affirmation prompts you to identify "your world."

About Your Process
If you do not consider it your own personal mission to bring freedom to your world, simply drop the first statement and affirm the second statement. Or, rewrite the first statement to incorporate your understanding of your personal mission, especially with respect to freedom. If you believe your life mission must reflect "doing," add the word or concept "joyously" to the activity you feel compelled to do. Remember: rewrite and change the daily affirmations in ways that truly resonate for you. You have this freedom, so be careful not to take it away from yourself because you think the words are set in concrete.

Make this an intentional day!
