June 5, Positive Affirmation for Joy

June 5th, 2009 Jeanie Posted in Affirmations, Joy, Personal Development, Theme: Joy, positive affirmation No Comments »

"I cut negative bonds of attachment to despair, depression, and desperation.
I untie the knots and the nots.
"

… Greetings! Our theme is Joy. at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This first week of the month we work with releasing and cleansing non-joy. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
Attachments come in all shapes and sizes. Some talk to you; others are silent. Some are joyful (like happy marriages); some are painful (like unhappy divorces). "Cannots" and restraints and doubts often look like knots in the energy field. These knots can be untied. Negative bonds can be cut. Working with imagery in the energy field is powerful, and usually more effective than pondering the thing to which you are attached and the circumstances of the attachments. You can also untie the bonds to depressing history or disempowering current events.

About Your Process
This affirmation is particularly appropriate for using the power of imagery or visualization. Ask yourself, "What attachment limits my experience of joy?" Close your eyes (to minimize distraction of physical input) and ask for an image from your inner guidance. This image can come to you in any number of ways: through your vision or hearing or sensations in your physical body or intuition. If you receive information about knots and ties, work with them — untie the knots, cut the ties. This will be much more empowering than trying to tackle the thing to which you have appeared to be negatively attached (you probably already know this is true, because you have been working on this for years!) Finish it! It is time to step into joy.

June 4, Positive Affirmation for Joy

June 4th, 2009 Jeanie Posted in Affirmations, Joy, Personal Development, Theme: Joy, positive affirmation No Comments »

"I release memories that allowed belief in pain and struggle.
The energy of these memories is now used in more empowering ways."

"Memories" can be the obvious memories you remember in your conscious awareness. In addition, you hold "memories" at other levels of consciousness. Every experience leaves a mark in the energy field. Your parents and lovers and friends and associates also hold memories that you sometimes step into — sometimes as easily as you might step into cow flop on a stroll in a pasture. It is as easy to slip out of a belief in pain and struggle as to slip into a belief in pain and struggle. The way in is the way out. If you find it easy to believe in pain and struggle, guess what? It is just as easy (and a lot more fun) to believe in non-pain and non-struggle: joy and trust and peace and harmony.

About Your Process
It is not necessary to sift through and recall all the memories of pain and struggle that you are releasing this week. Figuring out "why" and "who did what" can be quite debilitating and can slow your process at the very time that you want to accelerate it. Let it go. Take it to the trash. Or drop it in the pasture. As that stuff in the pasture turns from foul excrement to nurturing fertilizer, so, too, the sticky stuff of pain is transformed into an energy that is revitalizing. Let it go from your energy field. Take one step at a time. One thought at a time. One day at a time.

June 3, Positive Affirmation for Joy

"I let go of everything that appears to prevent or block joy.
I cancel the picture created by the expression, ‘no pain, no gain.’"

In 1991 I wrote an article that was published in the Los Angeles Whole Life Times called, "Let’s Wipe out this Expression, ‘No Pain, No Gain.’" A variation of this article appeared in the July 1991 Issue of the Marshall House Journal. My intention was to stir up some interest in eradicating this debilitating expression. My thinking of today is that replacement is a much more effective approach than eradication, which is not really possible anyway. Working together, we can find one or more replacements.

About Your Process
I encourage you to search your own repertoire of expressions that may keep you stuck in pain or struggle or other experiences of non-joy. You can cancel the negative effects of disempowering thoughts, but identifying them first is helpful. When words are combined with strong feelings and images, the impact is greatly enhanced. Use today’s affirmation, or a variation, to cancel negativity of expressions that tend to create non-joyful experiences. It is even more important to identify empowering statements, so do not spend too long on this assignment.

June 2, Positive Affirmation for Joy

June 2nd, 2009 Jeanie Posted in Affirmations, Joy, Personal Development, Theme: Joy, positive affirmation No Comments »

"I rescind obsolete vows of struggle, sacrifice, and unworthiness.
Angels lift this heaviness.

This is one of the variations of the "vows of limitation" affirmation. As you recognize what gets in the way of joy for you, you may find that you have created a rule or vow or limiting belief about that very thing. You can not harm angels by giving them the heaviness of outdated beliefs and vows and struggle and pain, but you can lighten your own load. Angels are here for all humanity. Someone in the human body must ask for their help because they do not interfere in human lives. They watch, fascinated and amused by acts of limitation, but they do not act without invitation. Our beckoning invites them to act in accordance with the divine.

About Your Process
I suggest you scan your life for the limiting vows or ideas that you believe, that you hold to be true. For example, do you believe there is not enough money? This is a false belief. The appearance of "not enough money" presents itself as an experience because it is a manifestation of the belief itself. The experience or "proof" shows up because of the power of the beliefs. Experiences of "not enough money" are created to demonstrate thoughts of lack. I pick the belief in "not enough money" because it is so prevalent. Perhaps you are rescinding a different vow or false belief today or this week. P.S. If you start to argue that there truly is "not enough money" you are arguing for limitations. You have a right to do this, I simply wish to mention this just in case you are inclined to step into that trap. (Incidentally, DailyAffirm explores the theme of Abundance in September.)

About Rescinding Limiting Beliefs
I have posted an article at my Web Site explaining the process of rescinding limiting beliefs. This extensive article is available in several sections. Click on the link below to read the article.

June 1, Positive Affirmation for Joy

June 1st, 2009 Jeanie Posted in Affirmations, Joy, Personal Development, Theme: Joy, positive affirmation No Comments »

"I give myself permission to release rage and pain
easily and joyously from every level of the energy field.

Giving yourself permission (or hearing permission from others) is often the all-important catalyst for change. This affirmation and many variations of it have evolved over several years. It gives me great joy to present this version today. May it guide you in effortless and joyous releasing. You can let go of non-joy joyously.

About Your Process
Please re-state this affirmation to make it meaningful to you. The main question before changing it is: What gets in the way of your experiencing joy? If it is anger, replace rage and/or pain with the word "anger." If it is a person, put the person’s name right in the affirmation. If it is your job, name your job so that you release the resistance (and maybe even the job itself!) from your energy field. If you tinker with the phrase "easily and joyously," replace it with something else that reminds you that this is to be an effortless and enjoyable process. This affirmation really works.

About Related Articles and Book
I recommend that you write one or more of this week’s affirmation. I have developed a process which is described in the book, "Affirmations : A Pathway to Transformation" and in an article entitled, "Writing Affirmations for Empowerment." Positive Affirmations for the Week of June 1-7, Joy

June 1st, 2009 Jeanie Posted in Affirmations, Joy, Personal Development, Theme: Joy, positive affirmation No Comments »

Greetings in the 1st week of June with the theme of Joy at DailyAffirm, which you may want to think of as deep happiness from within. In this message, I will give you an overview of the next seven days of the DailyAffirm Process. The sidebars provide you with additional information. Read the messages Day by Day, or simply check in when the spirit moves you. If you prefer to receive the daily messages by email, please subscribe to one of our email alert lists (each service is slightly different).

About Your Over-arching Intention
If you have not already done so, please identify your over-arching intention for Joy. That is, develop a statement that guides you in the exploration and embodiment of Joy. Intention is the energy or consciousness from which actions just make an attempt. Keep it simple. You have 30 days to work with the intention and the theme, so let your statement change and deepen. Here are a few suggestions for statements of intention about the theme of Joy: *To know joy. *To resonate with the energy of joy. *To feel joy in each moment. *To stay in the consciousness of joy, regardless of the circumstances. *To be a place for joy to live.

About Releasing/Cleansing Affirmations and Joy
The key idea this week is: what gets in the way of joy? Pain, for example, tends to block joy or distract you from joy. Fears and old, stuck emotions are the opposite of joy. Resistance makes joy inaccessible. As you clear non-joy from your energy field, you become more focused on the idea and the manifestation of joy. If you desire to have a beautiful garden, you remove the weeds and clutter. It is that simple. This week, prune non-joy. Fertilize the soil and the soul with the clippings. Life is a process. And in the next cycle, the process repeats.

About Your Process in the First Week
I recommend that you write this week’s affirmations, if such a process appeals to you. I’ve developed a process which is described in the book, "Affirmations: A Pathway to Transformation" and in the article entitled, "Writing Affirmations for Empowerment." This article is posted at one of my Web site along with 40 others, http://www.mhmail.com and then click on Articles by Jeanie.

About the Affirmations in the First Week
If I were to select the definitive affirmation for the week to represent releasing and cleansing for Joy it would be the affirmation: "I rescind obsolete vows of struggle, sacrifice, and unworthiness. Angels lift this heaviness." I find that the baggage of ancient vows and beliefs tends to hold many individuals in a consciousness of bondage. The June 2 affirmation helps to dissolve the limitations.

Today is an opportunity for trust.

… Greetings! Our theme is Trust at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. These last days of the month we work with integrating and embodying trust. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

Today is everyday.
Today is all I know.
Today is when I grow.
Today I created from yesterdays’ todays.
Today I create tomorrows’ today.
Today is an opportunity.
Today I trust.
Today is.
I Am.

About Your Process
So, whad’ja gonna do today? Are you going to let today be an opportunity for trust? Are you going to make today be an opportunity for trust? Either approach works, if it is appropriate for you. If you are in a Receiving/Accepting mode, let the opportunities for trust come to you. If you are in an Acting/Claiming mode, create the opportunities for trust to occur.

About Our Next Theme (When Tomorrow is Today)
It is a new month: June. The theme is Joy. When I originally meditated on this theme in preparation for the daily writing, I heard the song "Joy to the World" ringing in my ears. This is not the version sung in Christian churches at Christmas time, but the delightful 3-Dog Night version, the one about "joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea, joy to you and me. Jooooy to the World." During the first week, we work with Releasing/Cleansing Affirmations.

Make this an opportune day!

May 30, Positive Affirmation for Trust

May 30th, 2009 Jeanie Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Trust, positive affirmation, trust No Comments »

"I integrate trust into every aspect of my life."

About Today’s Affirmation
Every means every. Every aspect of your life includes the places and things and people you think about as well as the obvious aspects, such as career, relationship, health, family, home. As you give your thoughts — your attention — to other people, places, things, and ideas, you include them in your life. So it is important that your thoughts be worthy of your attention.

About Your Process
Is there any little — or big — part of your life in which trust needs to be integrated? You may find that simply inviting trust to exist in this place is all that is needed. Perhaps you feel it is more complicated or that something else has to happen first. Can you trust yourself to let go of all the conditions and qualifiers and excuses and complaints and habits to just trust? I believe in you. I believe you can just trust, starting right now. Today. This minute. Instantly. At once. Immediately. Instantaneously. Unhesitantly. Tout de suite. Now.

"Yes to Trust!"

About Today’s Affirmation
Yes, this is a time of integrating trust. Yes, this is a time of embodying trust. In an article that is online at my Web site ("Strategies for the Highest Good"), I include the following as one of the strategies: "Know that the Universe has only one response: it is yes. When you say, "I hate that," the Universe says "yes" by providing experiences of hatred because hatred has your attention. When you say "I love that," the Universe responds with experiences of love because love has your attention. The beliefs and thoughts you hold have an energy that travels; that same energy travels back to you, magnified."

About Your Process
To what do you desire to say "yes"? Is it trust? Is it deep trust? Is it trust in a particular thing or idea? Is it trust in yourself? Is it trust in the Universe? As you focus firmly on your vision of trust, be certain that you use this powerful concept expressed in this affirmation to produce the experiences you truly desire. Yes is a powerful fuel that activates conditions and experiences.

"I act with purposeful awareness of trust.
I show up and speak my truth.
"

… Greetings! Our theme is Trust at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming trust. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
For most people, "truth" is likely to be on their list of top ten values. Yet, so often, people do not speak their truth. So often, they do not even show up! You can hold the idea of the importance of truth, yet sometimes find it difficult to act from that idea. You might have past associations of "telling the truth" as tattling or informing authorities about your siblings or peers. Or "telling the truth" may be associated with a punishment that followed the act of telling or not telling the truth. Trust and truth are closely related — you can be purposefully aware of both as you act.

About Your Process
Identify something that you have difficulty telling your truth about. This might be a very private exercise — no one has to know about it but you. Tell your truth to yourself and trust yourself to know when it is the appropriate time to show up and speak your truth to others involved. Be courageous and wise. Above all else, trust yourself.

"I let every act be an act of trust."

The name you give something can greatly impact how you relate to that thing. Call it "fearsome" and you tend to be afraid. Call it "beautiful" and you tend to see beauty. Call it "trusting" and you tend to trust. Of course, the thing is more than the name you give it — you do not want to confuse yourself by thinking the thing and its name are synonymous. Today, allow all your actions to be named "trust" while at the same time, dip into the consciousness of trust. If every step is a step of trust, then your steps move you from trust to trust and away from non-trust and distrust.

About Your Process
If you have a specific action that today or tomorrow calls you to trust deeply, take a moment to be with that act in consciousness. That is, be with the idea of the action — both before and while acting. Touch the essence of the action, taste the feelings of the action. Let the act itself be an opportunity for trust to flow through you: be with the idea of trust, touch the essence of trust, and taste the feelings of trust. Act and trust. Trust and act.

"I draw a circle of trust to establish my world."

Each time you intentionally draw a circle of trust or love or peace, you expand its light. This circle is more than a line drawn in the sand, although such a line can represent this circle for you. The circle of trust is, perhaps, more appropriately called a "sphere of trust" for it is multi-dimensional. Once established, its energy grows and grows. And, of course, if you construct your circle of non-trust, that grows and grows. So, be clear about your intention before you establish your circle.

About Your Process
Have you ever experienced broken trust? That is, you believed that you had a relationship with someone or with a group and then. . . well, something happened. It does not really matter the facts here, so try not to get hooked on who did what to whom, when, where and why. Just invite the situation or person(s) into your circle of trust. Or, if you prefer, draw a circle of trust around the person or persons and, of course, draw your own circle around yourself and/or your family and/or your business. Envision all circles of trust expanding.

"I manifest all things in association with trust. Trust and I are One."

The idea of manifesting all your creations with trust is a powerful one. This affirmation helps you to minimize past manifestations that were created with non-trust; it can also create future experiences that are more trusting. All this month, the DailyAffirm affirmations have been acknowledging and honoring various relationships and associations with trust (and non-trust). The process has encouraged you to talk with trust, set intentions about trust, release non-trust, take trust with you, feel trust, sense trust, and experience trust as a friend. Today’s affirmation moves you from the idea of being separate from trust to being one with trust. Trust and I are One. Or, if you prefer, Trust and I is One.

About Your Process
At this time, you may feel as if you are walking through a wall in one or more parts of your life. (And if not, just appreciate that you are not walking through a wall and/or support others as they walk through a wall.) The wall may be made of stone or wood or brick or soot or anger or despair or rage or something else. This is the time to walk through the wall, knowing that you are not alone. You are One with Trust.

Claiming trust and claiming power are not exactly the same; however, they tend to run parallel to each other. Persons hesitant to trust themselves are also often hesitant to live in their power. The "power" I speak of is the true and lasting power that comes from within, not the artificial and temporary power in politics or organizations. The power I speak about is not "power over" another person or thing, but empowerment that supports you in being your authentic self. This is not the power that comes from fear; this is the power that comes from love and trust.

About Your Process
Identify one area in which you desire to be more powerful. You may choose to select a big area, such as your "whole life" or a more focused area, such as your job or a particular task you have responsibility to perform. The more precise and clear the vision, whether comprehensive or narrow, the more likely you are to see your desired results — maybe even instantly! Let your vision of trust guide you to be in your power, trusting yourself.

May 23, Positive Affirmation for Trust

May 23rd, 2009 Jeanie Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Trust, positive affirmation, trust No Comments »

"I act with trust in my heart.
I speak with trust on my lips. I walk with trust in my feet."

Trusting in your head is only a starting place. All manifestations on the earth plane start with an idea, a thought. This idea, however, must move out of your head in order to be manifested. Many people have beautiful ideas in their heads — pictures and dreams of peace and harmony, with no clue how to manifest the ideas into physical reality. Creation happens through movement of thoughts. Living in your head or in isolation does not test your trust; movement tests your trust. Thoughts propel your movement: feelings tell you the extent to which your intention and your movement are in alignment.

About Your Process
Identify an act you might take today that is a demonstration of your trust. It need not be a profound act (although profound is fine!). Perhaps your act of trust is speaking up in a situation in which you have considered yourself to be powerless. Perhaps your act of trust is making a decision that has been hovering over you for a long time. Perhaps your act of trust is exploring a deep issue you have been hesitant to look at. Perhaps your act of trust is taking a step in a different direction. In order to experience trust, you must put it out to the universe. You must give it away.
