December 31, Positive Affirmation for Mastery

"Today is an opportunity for mastery."

… Greetings! Our theme is Mastery at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. These last days of the month we work with integrating and embodying mastery. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
Every today is an opportunity for mastery. As you speak or meditate upon or write or write about or chant this affirmation, claim it for today and for every today that has passed and every today yet to be. Let yourself be the master you have come here to be. You don’t need to wait for anything. Integrate mastery into every aspect of your life, right now where you are. Today and when tomorrow becomes today, you can provide a space for mastery to express itself.

About Your Process
As you say good-bye to this calendar year, you may also want to say good-bye to all that you have mastered in the past. If you have been a master of struggle and pain and belief in limitation, declare that mastery! As you master your experiences, you move on to other experiences. This is a grand day to re-negotiate your contract with the Universe. Choose your own words, of course, but an example is "I have mastered belief in separation. I contract to live in mastery, recognizing my wholeness and my oneness with all that is."

About our Next Theme
Happy New Year! The theme for January is Hope. Today you may feel you are filled enough with the ideas of mastery without any need to consider tomorrow. When tomorrow becomes today is soon enough for this assignment: Consider your over-arching intention for Hope.

Make this a masterful day!

"I integrate mastery into every aspect of life."

The beauty of mastery is that it exists everywhere! Washing your clothes. Performing your job. Breathing air into your lungs. Living in your conscious awareness. Being right here, right now. Mastery is not something outside yourself. Nor is it something judged by other persons, even though they might eagerly express their opinions. Your journey to / with / for / in mastery is a confidential matter between you and the divine. Indeed, you might find great comfort in community support or discussion with a mentor, yet spiritual mastery does not need an audience.

About Your Process
As I write today’s message to you, I feel a different kind of excitement in my heart and in my finger tips. Perhaps it is because of the many conversations I have had with my friends in Spirit about the coming year. I see so many of my clients and others letting go of enormous stuff from the past. The release opens a space for new consciousness. Many who read the DailyAffirm send messages regularly to tell me of major shifts in your lives. It is a pleasure to hear from you.

Make this a transformational day!

"Yes to Mastery!"

Yes. What you say "yes" to determines how you experience the world. Let this short affirmation prompt you to consider those ideas and things and people to whom/which you say or have said "yes." Consider what you desire to say "yes" to today. Let each choice lead to mastery. Your choice is mastery. Yes to mastery.

About Your Process
Many folks who are on an intentional spiritual path use the remaining days of December to complete the issues and activities of the whole year. You can blend any of those rituals with the integration of mastery. Remind yourself of the over-arching intention you identified on December 1 — is it different? deeper? clearer? stronger? I often receive email messages from DailyAffirm visitors that say "Today I got it." Bravo! Yes, in your own way and in your own time, you do get it. Yes to mastery!

Make this a positive day!

"I act with purposeful awareness of mastery."

… Greetings! Our theme is Mastery at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming mastery. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
This affirmation is particularly pithy. Each word is worth considering and contemplating. It is important that you not even skip the prepositions in your contemplation because they further define the meaning and relationship. Consider what it means to act with purposeful awareness. What is an act? And what is purpose? And what is awareness? And what is mastery? Your mulling can be swift so that you take action decisively and firmly. Your mulling can be lengthy and thorough so that when you do act you know, without a doubt, that it is purposeful.

About Your Process
This is the final of the seven Acting/Claiming Affirmations. Have you claimed mastery? What are your acts of mastery? What do you want/need to do in order to integrate mastery into your life? What do you want/need to be in order to integrate mastery into your life? Claiming mastery is a life-long opportunity, so you may find that your most important act of this week of exploration is to decide to accept mastery into all aspects of the rest of your life.

About the Next Type of Affirmations
Tomorrow the Integrating/Embodying affirmations begin. Integration is the balanced embodiment of a concept/thing into your life — the being and doing balanced as you proceed along your path. So, beginning tomorrow you have three days to integrate, integrate, integrate. These are also the last days of 2007, so you may also be completing, completing, completing. Try not to confuse the two.

Make this a thoughtful day!

"I let every act be an act of mastery."

The power of this affirmation is in the realization that everything is an opportunity to know mastery. It is your human ego that tends to use a measuring stick to evaluate big or small, rich or poor, right or wrong. Spirit is. Mastery is. When you resonate with Spirit, you are conscious of the time and place of your attention. Everything happens in the present moment, even though from time to time, you give your attention to the past to cherish a memory or learn from an experience; and from time to time, you give your attention to the future to create a vision or lay out a desired path. Let every moment open itself to its fullest potential. Show up 100% in mastery of life.

About Your Process
Today as you work with your computer, say to yourself "I let every act be an act of mastery." As you talk with family or friends or associates, feel deep in your heart, "I let every act be an act of mastery." As you choose foods and eat them, let your prayerful grace be, "I let every act be an act of mastery." As you make decisions of all sizes and shapes, hear the words in your inner ears, "I let every act be an act of mastery." Choosing to do or say nothing can also be an act of mastery.

Make this an alive day!

"I draw a circle of mastery to establish my place of truth."

This circle reminds you that you establish your own space with the consciousness and fabric of your choice. Outside your circle resides other consciousness, including the opposite of what you have inside your circle. Choose what you allow in by giving your attention to it. Remember also that you allow into your circle everything that you give your attention to. In some matters you may feel you have no choice, but when you recognize that you choose all your experiences on some level of consciousness, you are empowered. Non-truth manifests as limitations that are only temporary appearances or illusions; that is, they move from your circle when you stop giving them your attention. Give your attention to mastery and freedom and love and wisdom — these are the energies which enrich and expand your circle.

About Your Process
I encourage you to act out this affirmation physically. If you live in a climate where you have white stuff on the ground, you can act this out by drawing a circle around you in the snow with a stick or an umbrella or your mitten-clad hands. If you live near an ocean, you can draw your circle in the sand. Or you can place twigs or other objects on the floor or ground in a circle around you. Feel the power of being inside this circle into which limitation does not penetrate. Give your attention to expanding your circle of mastery outward, upward, downward, and inward. Watch your circle of mastery as it grows, attracting to you more and more experiences of mastery.

Make this a limitless day!

"I manifest all things in association with mastery."

… Merry Christmas!

Ah, the perfect affirmation for this day, the day on which so many of God’s children celebrate the birth of the Master Jesus. Merry Christmas! This is also the pefect day to acknowledge and celebrate all great teachers and masters: past, present, future. It is important to acknowledge the consciousness of mastery as you manifest on the physical plane.

About Your Process
It is my intention to write these affirmations in such a way that persons of many religious faiths can relate. I have strongly-held beliefs on many matters, which others need not share in order to benefit from the affirmations or other aspects of my work. Mastery includes being true to yourself. Mastery also includes acceptance of different approaches.

Make this a merry day!

"I step out of illusion.
I claim my mastery and my power."

Mastery requires that you step out of illusion. While you are learning how to do this, it is important to recognize that illusion is all around. So, frequently you may step out of one illusion into another. Sometimes you step from a little illusion into a big one; sometimes you step from a big illusion into a bigger one; sometimes you step from a big illusion into a smaller one. Sometimes your process is to master the illusion by living fully in it; sometimes your process is to master the illusion by stepping out of it. Mastery is discerning the difference.

About Your Process
As you look at yourself lovingly today, notice the illusions of your life. Do be gentle with yourself as you notice. This is not an indictment, but an exercise in awareness. You may decide to experiment with different illusions or different facets of a familiar illusion. Play. Laugh. See yourself acting a part. Let yourself also be the producer, director, screenwriter, and camera operator. As you love yourself into awareness, you lift yourself higher and higher along your path of mastery. Feel your power from inside yourself.

"I act with mastery in my heart.
I speak with mastery on my lips. I walk with mastery in my feet.
"

… Greetings! Our theme is Mastery at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming mastery. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
This affirmation helps involve the senses and the physical body in the act of claiming mastery. "Walk your talk" is a popular expression which relates directly to the concepts and realization of mastery. Mastery is not simply an idea waiting to be manifested; it is manifestation. Many people can repeat the words of great wisdom without being touched by the wisdom. Affirm that you want to be in alignment with all aspects of mastery, in all parts of your life, through all acts of your being. You are mastery.

About Your Process
Remember, you can change the words on these affirmations — even the theme! With that reminder in mind, I ask… What do you desire in your heart as you act? What do you desire on your lips as you speak? What do you desire in your feet as you walk? Perhaps mastery. Perhaps something in addition to mastery. Perhaps something instead of mastery. There are many worthy options. It is your choice — make it a good one as you walk through this day, speaking and acting.

"Mastery energizes my actions.
I am empowered by the Truth of Spirit."

This is the first day of affirmations that claim your mastery. It is Spirit that powers you, energizes you, empowers you! You may get jazzed by your environment or excited by a thing or idea, but it is Spirit that enlivens you and lets you create. Spirit fills you without depleting you. The moment you feel depleted, you can turn to Spirit to be fed. Over time, you can learn to stay aligned with Spirit so that you do not get depleted. Fill your tank with Spirit, the unlimited source of energy.

About Your Process
Today you might consider what energizes you — coffee? chocolate? the rising sun? sex? a salad for lunch? getting your email? a conversation with Spirit? And consider, also, if that which appears to energize you initially, depletes you later. When you are truly in self-mastery, you are empowered from inside with minimal requirements for outside stimuli. This is not to say that you cannot or do not or should not enjoy those stimuli, only that you are not powered by them, not dependent on them. The opposite is true: Spirit powers those outer things through you, dependent on Spirit.

About Meditate Now
I have developed a program that supports meditators to develop and maintain a regular meditation practice. In is called Meditate Now: 21 Days to Meditate Regularly. This Free Mini Course & Ezine encourages you to develop your practice of meditating regularly so that you experience greater calmness, relaxation, mental clarity, general well being. Positive Affirmations for the Week of December 22-31, Mastery

December 22nd, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Mastery, mastery, positive affirmation No Comments »

Positive Affirmations for the Week of December 22-31, Mastery

Greetings! This message serves as an overview for the acting and claiming affirmations of this fourth week and the integrating and embodying of the last three days of the month. Read the information on the sidebars for additional information. The messages will be here for you Day by Day. Check in as often as you want; participate in the ways that are appropriate for you. If you prefer to receive the daily messages by email, please check the options on the navigation bar.

About Acting/Claiming Affirmations and Mastery
You’ve been releasing non-mastery, opening to mastery, and exploring the deeper meaning of mastery. Now, act with mastery! Step out to claim your mastery. Continue to let your own experiences and consciousness define the meaning of mastery. As you act, let Spirit guide you. It is important that you not act just for the sake of acting, but rather, act with your awareness of your intention. Step out of false beliefs and half truths.

About Your Process in the Fourth Week
Identify one, two, or three actions that you will take this week. Declare them right now to be acts of mastery. Then as it comes time for each action to manifest, feel the feelings and energy of mastery. Feel power surge through your body. Experience how your thoughts create life all around you. After each action, reflect on the power of claiming your mastery.

About the Affirmations in the Fourth Week
If I were to select the definitive affirmation for the week to represent being and intending for mastery, I would choose the affirmation for December 27: "I let every act be an act of mastery." I love the idea of this affirmation because it prompts you to let go of the ego that measures in dualities and comparisons like good and bad, right and wrong, big and small. Every act is an act of mastery.

About Integrating/Embodying Affirmations and Mastery
To integrate the ideas of the month, stop and reflect.  While it is unnecessary and unhelpful to over-analyze, value the time to rest and embody what you have learned and experienced, not only during this month, but this year of 2008.

About Your Process in the Remaining Days
Return to the over-arching intention for mastery that you established at the beginning of the month. Perhaps by now you’ve changed it. Or you may feel that you yourself have changed with your statement as your gauge. Just notice as you allow these three days to take you deeper and deeper into knowing true mastery.

Make this a masterful week plus!

December 21, Positive Affirmation for Mastery

December 21st, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Mastery, mastery, positive affirmation No Comments »

"Mastery and truth enhance all my thoughts and feelings."

… Greetings! Our theme is Mastery at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This third week of the month we work with being and intention for mastery. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
More and more people these days are talking about telling the truth. Also, more and more people are actually telling the truth. Your consciousness determines the level or layer of truth that is available to you. This affirmation opens you to spreading the energy of mastery and truth through your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Mastery does not show up as an event, not even as a series of events, but in the constancy of your presence. Mastery and truth show up in the present. You are the Presence in human form.

About Your Process
Since many of you are or will be with family with whom you may not regularly live over these holidays, you might notice that disempowering thoughts pop up. Watch and be aware. Listen to your words and thoughts. Listen to the words and thoughts of others. If you become aware of non-mastery dynamics, return to some of the Releasing/Cleansing Affirmations of week one (December 1-7). Open yourself to greater awareness by keen and quiet observation. Remember that courage can be found in silence as often as in actions. (P.S., it is not necessary to revert to 14-year-old behavior just because you are with persons who knew you when you were 14.)

About the Next Type of Affirmations
Tomorrow begins the Acting/Claiming Affirmations, so take a few moments to reflect on your greater understanding of mastery as a result of the previous three weeks. Be as clear as you can be about what this theme means to you before you affirm actions and make claims.

Make this a truthful day!

December 20, Positive Affirmation for Mastery

December 20th, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Mastery, mastery, positive affirmation No Comments »

"I understand the meaning of mastery.
I intend to live in self-mastery.
"

… Greetings! Our theme is Mastery at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This third week of the month we work with being and intention for mastery. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
This affirmation is a perfect companion to the over-arching intention about this month’s theme of mastery. For me, "mastery" is really about "self-mastery." You can learn aspects of self-mastery by learning mastery of skills and things. The master craftsperson knows many nuances of his or her craft. The spiritual master craftsperson knows many nuances of his or her craft plus many nuances about himself or herself. The process of opening your many layers and levels of consciousness allows more and more dynamics of mastery to be available to you.

About Your Process
Tomorrow is the last day of the Being/Intending Affirmations. Today is an appropriate day to ask yourself "who am I?" and especially "Who am I with respect to mastery?" To ask for deeper meaning is empowering. Sometimes you meet deeper meaning with a belly laugh, other times with tears, other times with an impish wink, and still other times with quiet, wordless knowing. Open yourself to any aspect of mastery that is appropriate for you right here, right now.

Make this a meaningful day!

About Today’s Affirmation
Sometimes you forget. Like thousands of times a day. You might forget who you are, what you are, where you are going, and where you have been. You are Love. It is so simple. The planet is being transformed by a remembering and re-membering process. As you remember who you are, you find other members of your same resonance. The first sentence of this affirmation I wish to attribute to Brother Bob who wrote a wonderful book with the title "Please Remind me I am The Presence of Love." While he and I have a difference of opinion on the capitalization of certain words, the essence remains intact! Bob was a peer reviewer of the book on which DailyAffirm is based, Affirmations: A Pathway to Transformation. I dedicate today’s affirmation to Brother Bob, Mr. Peaceful.

About Your Process
If you relate more to one sentence than the other in today’s affirmation, you may choose to focus on the one to which you relate more. They are different ways of expressing similar ideas: supporting you to move deeper into your consciousness than simply remembering facts and past events. Today, I challenge you to remember your true essence and higher power. This is between you and your inner self — it is not a challenge I address only to your ego, but also to the deep part of you who already knows, who has never forgotten. Listen. Listen to the whisper within.

Listen to the Whisper   Here’s an empowering Guided Visualization Meditation, Listen to the Whisper in Your Sleep. It uses imagery to help you to relax your entire body and let go of the activities, thoughts, and resistance that fill your waking life. Available as a beautiful CD album or as an MP3 download.

Make this a peaceful day!

December 18, Positive Affirmation for Mastery

December 18th, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Mastery, mastery, positive affirmation No Comments »

"My mission is to live in mastery in this world,
shining my light in dark places.
"

… Greetings! Our theme is Mastery at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This third week of the month we work with being and intention for mastery. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
This affirmation reminds you that you are here for a purpose. (It is not an accident, no matter what your parents may have claimed.) Of course, there are many ways to talk about your mission or higher purpose. As you find yourself in darkness, it becomes increasingly more important for you to shine your light wherever you go. With the intensity of consciousness at this time, the light gets brighter while the darkness gets darker. I often see bright, powerful souls in the middle of dark places who believe that they themselves are as dark as the places they find themselves. The most potent way to shine your light is to be happy. The light prevails in joy. Mission accomplished.

About Your Process
Are you aware of any dark places where you can shine your light? In your family? At work? On your commute to and from work? In a neighborhood conflict? Among the homeless or hungry? On the television and in the movies? On land burned by fires or war? And how can you shine your light? With laughter? A soothing word? By choosing a peaceful moment? Shine your light in ways that you enjoy.

Make this a Light day!
