24 hours, 1,440 minutes, 86,400 seconds—no matter how you express it, we only have so much time each day into which we cram work or school, cooking, cleaning, family time and a myriad of miscellaneous obligations and commitments, all clamoring for our attention. In between these activities are unavoidable traffic jams, grocery lines and waiting rooms, [...]

Law of Attraction: The Bridge To The Abundant Universe

April 9th, 2009 Guest Author Posted in Law of Attraction, abundance, bridge to terabithia, creative thinking, ideal life, imagination, manifest, money, universe No Comments »

I have just finished watching the movie “Bridge to Terabithia” with my nephews. Terabithia was a place of make-believe borne out of the very fertile imagination of Leslie Burke who did not have TV at home. In Terabithia, weird creatures that only the mind can conceive come to life. In Terabithia, all secret wishes and dreams come true.

“That which is conceived within, will eventually be realized without.” That is the law of attraction. A law that is part of this unerring universe. What if we create our own Terabithia? A place in our mind where our dearest wishes and dreams are true already. Where we can touch and feel, smell, hear, see, taste and interact the things we want, and experience the ideal life we want to have. As the law dictates, everything will eventually become a reality.

Most adults often find this difficult to do probably because we believe too much in reality. Time spent in imagination is time wasted and any product of the imagination is mere fantasy. The reality is that there is a recession, some people have lost their jobs, and some their homes. Everywhere, people are getting poorer and life is getting harder. So we have to work harder, and harder, but is struggling really the answer? If all you have within are struggles to make ends meet and then by the law of attraction that is all you will be experiencing.

I think scarcity in this universe would mean the end of it. And there has been perceived scarcity in this universe since time immemorial. The struggle for power and dominion, the perpetual hunger for money, and the insatiable need to be the best than the rest are all signs of this perceived scarcity. There is abundance in the universe because that is the only way that this collection of vibrating energy of cosmic proportion can operate. The law of attraction is the tool to connect to this abundant universe.

It is time to use the mind for more than where to get money for the next mortgage. Give it a rest, allow it to relax and let it soar to a place where you already have the money for the next mortgage. And after you have gone to that place and have already experienced the solution, allow yourself to forget for a few hours or a day. You will be surprised at how you have attracted the solution to your problem.

It seems really crazy to be doing all that law of attraction stuff and most of all forgetting about your mortgage. You would soon be out on the street if you forget your mortgage. But, really, can you say that obsessing and relentlessly turning the problems over and over in your mind brings you the solution to your dilemma? You have been doing that for years and you are still doing that now, there must be a better way.

Why does the poor gets poorer and rich gets richer? Because the poor’s man mind is focused on poverty and his financial problems, while the rich man’s mind is focused on creating ideas to grow his riches. But most rich people are self-made. True! By combining action with creative thinking and looking beyond their realities, these self-made billionaires have successfully lived their ideal lives.

Choose your ideal life today. Use the power of the law of attraction to manifest it in your reality.

Here are a few quotes on the importance of the imagination. It is the power, that molds and shapes everyone’s life.

Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.
Albert Einstein

You have all the reason in the world to achieve your grandest dreams. Imagination plus innovation equals realization.
Denis Waitley

The key to life is imagination. If you don’t have that, no mater what you have, it’s meaningless. If you do have imagination… you can make feast of straw.
Jane Stanton Hitchcock

The world is but a canvas to our imagination.
Henry David Thoreau

Imagination is thebeginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine and at last you create what you will.
George Bernard Shaw

Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it we go nowhere.
Carl Sagan

Without leaps of imagination, or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning.
Gloria Steinem

Your imagination, my dear fellow, is worth more than you imagine.
Louis Aragon

The power of imagination makes us infinite.
John Muir

This world is but a canvas to our imaginations.
Henry David Thoreau

Our imagination is the only limit to what we can hope to have in the future.

Holiday Expectations

November 18th, 2008 Cheryl Petersen Posted in Healing, Law of Attraction, Life, Spirituality, forgiveness, happiness, imagination, love No Comments »

Imaginations can get tense during the holidays. Expectations wrestle in our minds and lives. Holiday traditions are jammed into already busy days. Instant gratification turns into regret. Debts are accumulated. Or sometimes, the imagination just shuts down and we slog through the holidays doing what other people are expecting of us. What if this season, a spiritual expectation can improve our experience?

A spiritual expectation is different from a worldly expectation. Spiritual expectations equal a productive developing consciousness. Worldly expectations are analogous to a frenzied or idle consciousness that can’t get out of itself. For example, if we expect a holiday party to give us joy, joy has just been reduced to time/space, excluding joy from many areas of our life. And, where is joy for those who weren’t invited to the party? What happens to joy if we get sick and cannot attend the party? How reliable is joy when we go to the party and have fun, but return home to dirty dishes?

Spiritual expectations are linked to that which is greater. If we expect joy from the sheer fact we radiate joy, we can be joyful whether we are getting ready for a holiday party or not. Aligning our thoughts with the metaphysical fact that joy precedes us—joy is found for others, is found now, at a party, and when we come home to dirty dishes.

Along with joy, spiritual expectations do not depend on any human event, season, or tradition. Admittedly, the holidays can be a grand time however that grandness can extend throughout the year when emanating from unconditional hopes. It is intriguing to improve our holiday season experience and then continue to feel the holiday spirit year round. However, this requires breaking away from the familiar, from the common beliefs of what we have trained ourselves to think about the holidays.

From 21st Century Science and Health the first English revision of Mary Baker Eddy’s Science and Health, we read, “The human mind is educated into selfish and sensualistic thinking as it constantly repeats the same thoughts to its self. If we are always talking about the body or persistently anticipating bodily pleasures (or even nervously expecting pain), we are being skillfully trained in the unspiritual. This education is at the expense of spiritual development.” Likewise, if we constantly expect temporary enjoyment, or even stress, during the holidays, our spiritual development is neglected.

Many people review their holiday experiences and strive to eliminate worldly expectations by improving their habits and rituals. Less time and money are wasted. More forgiveness and philanthropy is expressed. And, their happiness and security become more stable. A confidence is built up—a confidence that love and joy is found within consciousness, not in a particular holiday or gift or food.

Expectations can be powerful. What we are hoping is generally where our head and heart are being directed. Instead of expecting the holidays to bring good-will, peace, and joy, realize and act on the fact that good-will, peace, and joy will bring a beautiful holiday experience all year round.

Law of Attraction Bits

September 4th, 2008 Joann Posted in Abraham, Law of Attraction, Manifesting, Positive Affirmations, abundance, imagination, manifesting your desires No Comments »

  • Abundance is your birth right. You have to believe that you are claiming your birth right in order to manifest abundance through the law of attraction.

  • Begin with a thought of what you want. Manifesting with the law of attraction always starts with a seed of thought.
  • Construct this object or person in your mind detail by detail.
  • Define the object in a material sense by cutting or drawing pictures of it or writing down a detailed description. This will make your mental images more concrete.
  • Energize your creation by feeling the emotion of owning it at last. Feel the sensations of touching, hearing, smelling, seeing or tasting it.
  • Feelings are valuable indicators that you are well-aligned with your desires. A feeling that you are pushing against something indicate resistance. Before you move on with the process, know first why you are feeling this resistance. Clear negative feelings first because this will lead to manifesting failure. This article on what desires you can manifest through the law of attraction may help you. On the other hand, positive feelings indicate that you are indeed on the right track.
  • Give so you may receive. The act of giving produces more of the same through the law of attraction. You will be blessed to receive more so you can give more.
  • Hold the vision. Use your power to mentally visualize your image of what you desire. If you need aids, read the fourth bit. According to Abraham, you only need to hold the vision for at least 64 seconds. That is not a lot to ask. If you can hold it for twice or 10 times that duration, so much the better.
  • Imagination is a powerful self-empowerment tool. The limited success you have experienced in your life is equivalent to the limits of your imagination of what you can do or have.
  • Juice up your creation in your mind. You do this be visualizing it, by affirming it with conviction, by pretending you already have it, by believing that you already have it. If it has a life in there, it will eventually live out here.
  • Keep saying it until you believe it. Meaning, you have to affirm it.
  • Life goes on. Just because your desire is only true in your mind does not mean you have to put a hold on your life until it materializes. Remember that the essence of life is to flow. Hold it back and you accumulate stale energies of the past.
  • Manifesting your desires through the law of attraction is hindered by your attachment to your desires. The seed of your creative thought is meant to be sown and allowed to grow through the natural process of the universe.
  • Nature or the universe takes charge of how and when it will happen. Remember the story of the Shoemaker and the Elves? The shoemaker provides the leather (material for the shoes) and the elves uses the leather to make the pair of shoes. With the law of attraction, we provide a mental picture of our desire (material) and the universe or nature, provide the way for its fulfillment.
  • Open your self up to miracles.
  • Quite minds are receptive minds.

Training and Developing Visualization and Imagination

July 26th, 2008 Remez Sasson Posted in Creative Visualization, Law of Attraction, imagination, visualization No Comments »

Some people can visualize easily and others find it hard to do, but regular training of the imagination can change this. One can learn to visualize. Imagination can be developed like any other skill, through appropriate exercises.

Don’t worry if you can’t visualize, because even if you can’t, you can still use the law of attraction. If you know clearly what you want, and you have no doubts about it, and your desire is very strong, you can still attract success into your life, even if visualization is difficult for you. Feelings and desire play an important role in manifestation, not only visualization.

Suppose two people wish to manifest a particular event or object in their life, one just visualize, without any emotion or desire, and without really believing that he can manifest his dream. The other person does not visualize, but he focuses his mind on his desire, and believes and feels strongly that he has already manifested it. Who will eventually achieve his desire? The one who feels and believes.

Actually, the combination of visualization, feelings and desire is recommended, and that is why it is worthwhile to train the faculty of imagination. It can be developed gradually, through various exercises. One such exercise is to look at a small object, such as a spoon, match, or even a fruit for a few minutes, then close the eyes and try to see it mentally. If the mental image is blurred, open your eyes, look at the object for a few seconds, and again close your eyes and try to visualize it.

Don’t get discouraged if you don’t see immediate results. Developing the ability to visualize is not different from learning a new language, learning to drive a car or bodybuilding. Training and developing the ability to visualize takes time.

I have included a whole chapter on developing visualization and imagination in my book Visualize and Achieve, with instructions, advice, and exercises.

Do You Like To Watch A Plant Grow: A Manifesting Lesson

March 26th, 2008 Joann Posted in E-motions, Law of Attraction, Manifesting, desires, imagination, intention, vibration No Comments »

One of the mistakes that most people commit when applying the law of attraction to manifest what they want is to keep checking if it has produced any result yet. They affirm, they visualize and then expect a result over night. If they don’t see the result, they’d get frustrated. The feeling of frustration itself produces a vibration that indeed your desire is still NOT in the material plane. Remember what the law of attraction says, “You attract into your reality that which matches
your thoughts.” So the more you keep checking & then getting frustrated, the more the result will elude you.

Using the law of attraction is kind of like planting a seed. You plant a seed (you send out your intention or what you want), & you water it (you imagine, you affirm). The following day, you dug the seed out to see if it has grown, seeing that no change has occurred yet, you get frustrated and put it back in the soil again. The following day, you dug it out again to see if there’s any change. If you do that over & over again, no plant will grow out of the seed.

Personally, I find that my desires get manifested if I forget about them. Oh yes, I daydream & I let my imagination go wild about having them already, but after that I take my mind off them and they will just materialize in my reality.

Imagination and Anticipation

Imagination and Anticipation

One of the main tools for self-improvement, healing and achieving success is the imagination. Though it is intangible, yet, it creates our reality. Though it is a mental tool, yet, it affects our behavior, habits, expectations and actions. I have written about it in the articles Imagination: The Power of Your Inner Vision, and in The Power of Imagination, and in other articles.

Here is an interesting excerpt from the book ‘The Magic of Believing’ by Claude M. Bristol, about how the mind and senses can be affected by the imagination:

WYSIWYG

February 18th, 2008 Other Authors Posted in Law of Attraction, Life, Manifesting, beliefs, creation, energy manipulation, imagination, positive energy, visualization No Comments »

WYSIWYG
This is going to “jolt” you—
because it says “not true” to many of your cherished beliefs.

Are you familiar with the acronym WYSIWYG?

It stands for “what you see is what you ‘get’!”

Consider this: So strange at first, quantum physics is suggesting there is no reality until it is perceived reality. That is, no event is possible, until an observer (you) is present to perceive it (i.e., see or think it).

Stay with me, please.

Now consider this: As a portion of Universal or God Consciousness by birth, you are an individualized consciousness; a co-creator. We all are. Without recognizing it, you project outward what you perceive, i.e. see or think, which attracts and creates matching physical life experiences.

WYSIWYG!

Now listen: Somewhere along the line you’ve probably said to yourself, “I wonder where the ‘real action’ is in life?”

I know. I know. The real action appears to be in the life circumstances you presently are focusing on and as a consequence, experiencing.

Not so! You see, the real action is generated by the intensity of your thoughts and feelings, which you author internally, and as a consequence, experience externally. In quantum physics, nothing solid (collapsing of waves) appears or is experienced, until it is perceived. Therefore, what you deliberately and intentionally focus on (perceive), is what you get.

Plain and simple: Life is an inside/out job. What you think and feel is what you create.

Each day, care to guess who gets to focus attention on choosing good- or bad-feeling thoughts and the identical events they attract and create in your life?

YOU. That’s who!

So, who do you believe is to blame for misusing their power as a conscious co-creator?
“The greatest thing a human soul ever does in this world is to see something,” said art critic John Ruskin. “To see clearly is poetry, prophecy, and religion, all in one.”

That’s why life is not about finding yourself. Undeniably, it’s about creating yourself. It’s remembering always, that from a daily bank of unlimited fields of possibilities at your disposal, you can create only the world you perceive; what you choose to focus energy upon. If, for example, you don’t perceive or see wellness as a possibility, this is what you will get—a lack of wellness.

WYSIWYG!

The thing is, if you choose to perceive (intensely focus on) NOT getting through a health, relationship, job, family or financial crisis, it’s not ever likely to happen!

Know why? Well, you already know the acronym.

Not a single person avoids the consequences of their thoughts. Indeed, thoughts that go around, come around as life experiences. Truly,

It is done unto you as you think, believe, expect and feel.

Here’s something you might find useful to ask yourself: “What toxic thoughts are a constant presence in my life?” Well, good people, rest assured that whatever they are, they will come back to you as life experiences.

Since “like attracts like,” the “Eureka Moment” to controlling your own destiny is taking it upon yourself to realize,

Your thoughts are real(ity).

Anyway, if you don’t get that major life-transforming lesson, you’re going to keep getting it until you get it.

Okay. Since you experience in life what you focus energy on, it seems pretty evident that what changing the negative circumstances in your life is all about is taking a quick journey to the center of your toxic thoughts and feelings. Not only that, it’s jumping on the following opportunities:

#1: Learning to manipulate the energy of your thoughts and feelings into physical reality, knowing that the life events you experience each day are a reliable replica of your inner reality.

#2: Knowing you are here to get an unclouded picture of your inner reality (thoughts and feelings) by taking a hard look at the outer circumstances they have formed.

#3: Recognizing the events that you see (perceive) as real life experiences are separate from you, instead of the consequences of your own inner thoughts and feelings. (Yes! It’s going outside to “see” the thoughts you’ve created inside–that you need to part ways with– which is easy enough to uncover. All you have to do is answer “yes” or “no” to this one single question: “Do you feel your present thoughts and feelig are empowering or disempowering you?”

#4: Learning that events such as ill health, poor relationships, financial difficulties, and the like, are projections of self-limiting thoughts and feelings outward that form parallel physical events.

#5: Recognizing that as a conscious co-creator, you have a very definite purpose, or you would not be in physical reality.

In brief, you are a spiritual being having a physical experience. You are here to adventurously learn to transform mental energy into events you choose to experience. And, until you learn that the world is a mental construction, you will continue to construct events you do not want to experience.

The nature of inner reality is telling you that you form counterparts of your thoughts and feelings. Therefore,

In all of life, you don’t get what you deserve.
You get what you think; what you consciously concentrate on.

An aside: Try thinking on a daily basis as if your life actually depends on your state of mind. You soon will discover that what you think about or focus on, sets off precise vibrations of energy, which is picked up by the Law of Attraction (Law of Polarity) which operates much like the Law of Gravity.

What’s that? Are you thinking: “That which is like unto itself is drawn.”

Good thinking.

Also, my friend, if your inner climate is dwelling or focusing on past wounds, The Law of Attraction is always at work since it consistently responds to all vibrations, good or bad—almost effortlessly propelling them into the future. What’s more, the cells in your body feel precisely the way you are thinking and respond accordingly. That is to say: What your thoughts vibrate, you attract and physically experience.

Let’s take a moment to talk about the answer to altering a particular negative life circumstance. It seems a bit surreal, but I can guarantee you’ll be amazed to see clear and convincing evidence that the Law of Attraction is working, if, immediately,

You change your focus,
the thoughts and feelings you are projecting outward!

Make it a point, if something is disturbing you, to withdraw the energy of your focus from it. Does quickly changing your focus work? Do seat belts save lives? I’ll let you decide for yourself. What you’re going to electrifyingly discover is this:

Your reality is formed by the intensity of your thoughts and expectations.
For example, you bring into existence the fears you perceive.

This is why I implore you to give the following sentences serious thought:

You cannot create any event outside the boundaries
of your self-limiting belief system. To do so, you need
to step outside the framework of your self-limiting beliefs.
And, what that demands is:
Enlarging your definition of what you believe is possible in life.

For enlightenment to strike, what you need to recognize is that the combination of what you vividly visualize and feel, actually create your life experiences; the events that enter your life. You need to FEEL the full extent of what you’re visualizing. For example, if you want to be healthy, you need to not only believe and intensely visualize your goal, but sense strongly what it would FEEL like to be this way. Moreover, envision what you want as instantly materializing, all the while adding a high degree of expectancy. “Know” definitely that what you focus on, you will get.

There is a catch.

No one can do this for you. All this is just talk until you practice what can be titled, The Art of Reality Formation. Remember now: The universe is observer-created and thought-responsive. For that reason, what change entails is, turning around a diseased belief system. It takes stretching yourself beyond that which you presently think and feel is “realistic.”

And what will happen if you choose to do this?

You’ll “get” the bargain of a lifetime.

One fine day, you’ll suddenly think to yourself, “I can’t remember the last time I felt so good. Each day, in every way, I can actually feel the power of creation vibrating inside me. Challenges that once felt so enormous, that I concentrated so much negative energy on, no longer are a presence. Finally, I can see that if I change the way I perceive things, the things I perceive will change?”

And, so it will!

It’s a great feeling you can hardly explain. And the best part is, it will attract more of the same.

And, in the d WYSIWYG

Are you familiar with the acronym WYSIWYG?

It stands for “what you see is what you ‘get’!”

And, in the doing, each day of your life, you will leave a positive mark on the world.

Something else will happen: You’ll be so pleased and so flush with success—pleasure beyond measure–that soon you’ll be coming to my next Quiet Miracles workshops in person or with friends.

Case closed. End of sermonette.

Visualization – The Key To Success!

February 13th, 2008 Other Authors Posted in Creative Visualization, creative_visualization, imagery, imagination, mental_imagery, visualization No Comments »

Good visualization skills will ultimately contribute to success for all those involved in self growth and personal development programs. Visualization is always one of the key factors that must be developed for consistent success, and rightly so. We live in a mental universe and it is our consciousness that actually gives us the sensation of the life that we experience. So if we are unable to create thought images as detailed as we would like, the full realization and satisfaction of our world will probably be lacking.

Everything that we do, we do so in the form of some thought image, a picture with emotions and other sensory information. However, most people have not really developed their ability to create these thought images. A simple test for this is to think about the future you most desire to have. What does that future look like? Describe the image that you see in your mind’s eye of your goal.

Most people have great difficulty doing this simply because they have never fully developed this skill. When they engage in goal setting, as part of their personal growth and self help programs, they eventually lose interest in the program because they are unable to generate the pictures that are necessary to follow through and achieve their goal.

Without those pictures, those thought images their mind does not have a plan to follow and no clear blueprint, to impress into the universal mind for physical expression. When the image of what we want is unclear or missing there can only be confusion. What the mind cannot see it cannot achieve!

Here are a few tips and exercises that you can do, on a daily bases, to help develop your image creating abilities.
Exercise number 1.
Try observing something around you and record what you see. Write down everything that you observe about that object, and then ask someone else to observe the same object and see if they come up with a similar list. This can be fun if you make it into a game and it is a great way to introduce older children into the world of focused visualization. Most young children have already mastered this skill. Next, close your eyes and see how much of that object you can recreate in your mind in detail.

Exercise number 2.
Observe two similar, but different items, such as two trees. First pick out the things that make them similar, next observe the things that make them dissimilar. Again, just as you did in the first exercise, after you have completed the first part, close your eyes and see it you can create both trees, one at a time, in your mind. Next, to make it even more interesting see if you can create both trees in your mind at the same time.

Exercise number 3.
Observe an object around you, then close your eyes and recreate that object in your mind, only put it in another location. If you observe a tree in the woods, or even your back yard, imagine that tree on a beach, or even in the middle of a parking lot.

Please don’t attempt to do these exercises one right after another you will only meet with frustration and end up abandoning the whole process. These exercises should be done over a period of weeks, even months. Take one per week and do that one every day or several times per day. As you master one, move on to the next one. Your ability to visualize is like any other talent that you have, it must be developed. Each one of these exercises will introduce another variable for you to master. As you do each one you will learn how to observe, how to recognize detail, but also how to add detail to your own visualizations and work with your imagination. As you work more with your imagination you will also be opening the door to fuller realization of your intuition. That is the ultimate goal. That is when you will make the most of the law of attraction.

Transforming Fear Into Faith

January 10th, 2008 Other Authors Posted in E-motions, fears, imagination, living in_fear, memories, personal comfort, stress, teddy roosevelt, tension, worry No Comments »

FEAR is: False Evidence Appearing Real. In others words, most fear we experience is self manufactured – yep, we make it up! Think about it, most things you fear are things you imagine will or may happen to you in the future. This is your perception, but has little to do with the reality of the present moment. Your imagination is excellent at painting a very colorful, energy-catching picture of the fearful outcome you perceive. So vivid is this portrait that the fear appears real in your mind. Much of what you fear is based on something that happened in the past, to you or someone else, and you project the same fearful event happening to you in the future. Fear shows up in your life as worry, anxiety, restlessness, stress and tension.

Living in fear is like living your life in a dark, comfortable cave fearing the light outside. When you get too close to the edge, you project your fears into the light to keep you safe within the cave. The cave becomes your small circle of comfort, known as your “personal comfort zone.” You know your existence to be what happens within this zone. As you move through your days, you do so with comfort and ease because you find trust and security in your cave. This “comfort zone” does not include all the things we fear. We leave those out of the equation, although the memories linger in our minds. Sometimes life extends an invitation to experience something new; to step outside your comfort zone. Or, maybe life in the cave becomes so boring you open the trunk of memories and try on a few to generate a little fear and wake you up a bit. Here is silly question: “Why do you do this?!” Because of fear! Even though it’s uncomfortable, it is still within in your “comfort zone,” because fear is all you’ve known.

Teddy Roosevelt said,”The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” How can you begin to experience what life outside the cave is like? How can you stop your fear in order to step outside the comfort zone for a broader, richer life experience? How can you move from the darkness of the cave into the light of Truth? The answer is faith.

FAITH means: Find An Infinite Truth Here. When you have faith, you are basing your life on Universal Principles or Infinite Truths, not on the illusions of your perceptions. What are the higher principles in which you believe? What is it above all else you know to be True? You may believe you are always connected to a Higher Power, or to God. You may believe an “inner wisdom” will direct you. You may believe all your prayers are heard and answered by this higher power. You may believe you are always being looked after and cared for. You may believe LOVE is greater than all your fears. Transforming your fears into faith is the key to living an abundantly rich, full and satisfying life. Faith means living your life with purpose.

Transforming your fear into faith requires you to:

Stop: When you begin to feel fear
Acknowledge: Your fear is making you feel alone, isolated and separated from love.
Remember Fear is: False Evidence Appearing Real
Tap into your faith: Find an infinite truth here.
Remember what you KNOW to be True

Allow your life’s Infinite Truths transform your fear into faith.
Step outside the comfort zone of your cave and walk into the light of Truth.
