on Manifesting Abundance at Manifesting with the Law of Attraction

What is it that brings about healing and attracts love, joy, peace and prosperity into our lives? As a journalist, writer and author, I’ve studied science and spirituality for decades and perhaps like you have formed a seamless belief system that makes sense of everything.

So I’m excited when I see proof of it, which comes over and over again and most recently in an e-mail message from a new friend of mine in Pittsburgh. He wrote to say that when we hugged, he felt the direct transfer of something from me into his chest. It didn’t carry any emotional impact, but a physical shift in his energies transpired and the next day rid him of a misconception that had caused him a great deal of anxiety.

Could I explain what had happened, he asked? Were these two events connected? What isn’t, I laughed in delight, replying with the lessons my inner voice of wisdom had just been teaching me!

Bearers of light

I spoke to David of liking him from the moment we met, as I’d sensed something very special in him. He was coordinating the Sunday service at his Unity church, and as he stood at the podium, speaking so gently of love, my heart opened and I became aware of the high spiritual energies in the room. I was there to speak and my travel fatigue instantly melted away.

During the “meet and greet” portion of the service, I hugged David gratefully for the love he had given me. So it was not I who healed him, but the Love in him that did the work. When we are open and ready for change, love responds and Light flows into and through us, bringing about the transformation we seek.

My seven-year-old grandson understands this perfectly. He delights in creating “pictures” to give away, and alongside many of his colorful airplanes and butterflies are the words, “Love is in the air.”

In this cosmic sea of spirit, composed of energetic waves of thought and feeling, love flows through every person and event. I bring to you some gift of wisdom, a loving thought or touch, and you say something that enlivens me, perhaps opens my heart to a new understanding of us both.

This is what the Hindu mystic-poet Kabir meant in saying, “Sometimes we are a wave, sometimes the ocean. We come here to bring each other to God.” When we are calm and peaceful, we float restfully in the ocean of the OneMind, immersed in its expanded perspectives and at-one with its rhythmic flow. When we are disconnected, we break into separate waves, but even then we call each other back to the One.

Waves in flow with the ocean

What separates us from the OneMind and its peace, joy and fulfillment? It is always stress, fatigue, fear and distrust, tensing us into waves of rigidity and resistance. Many of us fear being hurt and shrink away from life, closing our hearts to the healing Love in and all around us. At times we feel cold and alone, perhaps rejected, abandoned, unsure and confused. But in truth, Love has not abandoned us. We have become oblivious to its presence.

This separation is why we so often feel lost and unhappy. The closed heart, by virtue of its separation, cannot be enriched by All That Is. The law of magnetic resonance, governing the law of attraction, cannot bring riches to poverty, nor peace and happiness to a conflicted bodymind trapped in anger or judgment. When we are experiencing inner conflict and are out of integrity with our souls, we feel a gnawing hunger, a thirst for what is missing, and usually try to satisfy this craving with love relationships, euphoric chemicals, career achievement and/or material possessions. Our busyness almost distracts us from the cold internal knot of separation, but not quite.

The only way back to the ocean of the OneMind is to open our hearts to the light and unfold, petal by petal, into our blossoming.

Nature shows us what to do, especially in the springtime. Out of dark, quiet winter comes a season of warmth and renewal. Brightly colored plants and flowers draw us to the wondrous life force swirling into the curve of a leaf, colorful patches of wildflowers and the light mint greens of budding trees. Seeing the magic of spring, we remember how the Creative Force sweeps into every thing: in sheets of rain upon a rushing river; the pealing laughter in a child’s perfect cartwheel; the sparkling spiral star-dance of our magnificent Milky Way.

Because of this visible and invisible evidence of love, I trust and believe what my inner wisdom tells me: that all waves come to empty our darkness so that Light can flow into the bodymind, enabling us to gently unfold and flower into lives of beauty and joy. Our inner wisdom whispers that each and every wave helps us grow and is called, by our nature, into being.

When we listen to our souls very closely, we hear that this is our dearest wish and the work that we came here to do. The open heart knows this and does it willingly, with excitement and gratitude, understanding its soul’s purpose and the ultimate meaning of life.

The secrets of an open heart

All the same, life is sometimes like a banana peel. It seems that everything conspires to trip us up, throw us off-balance and slide us down some slippery slope, whereupon we close our tender hearts for our own protection. How to open the heart, then, when it closes suddenly or over time?

STEP 1.  The most immediate antidote is to breathe and relax inside the remembered assurance that every wave comes out the OneMind and so must be a wave of love calling us back to Love. Knowing this, we breathe deeply and evenly, becoming perfectly present to the flow of air into the nose and back out of the mouth.

Your can deepen this relaxed, peaceful state of consciousness by counting breaths or following the wind of your breath into your diaphragm and back out of your body. Research has shown that focusing on the breath relaxes us, and focusing on two things simultaneously, like counting and the movement of breath, produces a deeper state of consciousness akin to meditation.

Another heart-opening technique, especially useful during conflict, is to close your eyes and focus on the space between your ears. Try this now, to see for yourself how this diffuses thought and relaxes the body. It works just as well when we focus on the space between the eyes or any two objects. Just as in a guided meditation, the act of imagining space shifts our brainwaves into the alpha bandwidth of vibration. This relaxed peacefulness neutralizes the patterns of overexcited, hyper-aroused physical tension that create most if not all illness and disease, according to neurofeedback research.

STEP 2.  When we repeatedly experience this meditative state of mind, we extend it into everyday life and are better able to stay united with the OneMind. We are less upset by our own thoughts and by external events, so we live happier, healthier, more balanced lives.

Rooted in the transcendent perspectives of the OneMind, we consistently respond to life peacefully and the heart is better able to stay open. When conflict comes up, we breathe, relax and allow that wave of thought energy to wash into and through us, neither holding on to nor resisting it. This is called peaceful, nonviolent non-resistance. We “hold our seats,” as Buddhism teaches and remain peaceful.

It is easy to do this because we know who we are. We are souls observing our selves and what happens in this earth plane for the sake of learning. We are not trapped here, but choose to be here. In this sense of choice and freedom rests fearlessness, courage and the ability to stay peaceful.

By remaining open-hearted, we stay connected with our soul’s infinite wisdom and its creative solutions. We understand how to respond–what, if anything, to say–because our inner wisdom prompts us. In the silence we are able to listen to, hear, feel, sense and see the transcendent perspectives of our open, loving hearts.

Our intuition is an inner knowing of spiritual truth. It expands us beyond the ordinary thinking mind into the transcendent sixth-sense perspectives of inner knowing, feeling, sensing, hearing and seeing. Going deeper within our souls, we observe that any and all negative thoughts are erased from our minds and replaced by a clear sense of direction. At the same time, the Light heals physical discomfort, pain, stress and fatigue.

Serenity through Forgiveness and Unconditional Love

======================================

STEP 3.  Sometimes our hearts are opened by another person’s kindly word, smile or touch, as with my friend David. Sometimes the opening occurs during a walk in the woods, as nature delights us and points the way home.

But what if someone is yelling at or demeaning us in some way that causes pain?

We can ask that person to please calm down so that we may listen better to what he or she has to say. If the person does so and we wish to listen, but nevertheless begin to lose our peace, we can draw our full attention to the heart and center the busy mind in the heart.

The energy of the heart will relax our thinking. We can open to the heart’s love and ask for the OneMind to help us flow into Love, so that this light circulates into every atom and cell of our bodies. Be assured that it will. This heart-centering will help us listen better to the other person and return love. By the law of magnetic resonance, the other person will attune to our energies and grow more loving.

This has been proved in experiments conducted by The Mind-Life Institute in cooperation with the Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Tibet. A Buddhist monk and veteran, 30-year meditator was placed in a room with a professor outraged by the idea of reincarnation. The man berated the monk loudly and to no avail. The monk listened placidly and did not flinch once; in fact, he was hooked up to electrodes and there was no “startle” response whatsoever. Finally the professor grew just as calm and willing to conduct a reasonable conversation.

Try this for yourself. Be the peacemaker and see what happens.

STEP 4.  We can keep our hearts open by freeing ourselves from judgment. The verbal thinking mind loves to name everything and remember similar situations that it then relives and discusses with itself. The ego says, “Aha, I recognize who this person is, because So-and-So was that way, too. This person is devious and dangerous.” Even if the ego is right, this judgment narrows our perspectives and our ability to clearly perceive the full truth about the other person, who, like us, is much more than what was done.

A single, solitary judgment triggers a volley of thinking that closes the heart, blocks inner wisdom and separates us from ourselves, the other person and God! Moreover, constantly reliving the past keeps us from being fully present to the now-moment and serving as a creative, shining light to other people.

The antidote is not to let the thinking mind name, categorize, judge and persecute anyone–us included. We can move the naming, thinking mind into silence by teaching it that no matter what comes up within us or in external reality–an angry person, the loss of a job, illness, the death of a loved one–it is a wave of experience that brings healing and growth. It comes to rid us of what is no longer needed and to evoke in us anything that might be missing. In the world of Spirit, nothing is lost. All is accounted for.

STEP 5. We can be at-one with goodness by keeping our hearts open, rejoicing in the beauty of the world and seeking something to love in every person we meet, including the derelict on the street who teaches us that this is not who we want to be. Even if we feel repulsed, we can look at this person closely enough to find something in him or her to love. Some facial characteristic, some trait…because if love is in the air, it is also in each of us, even at our worst.

Do we have to judge or detest that derelict? My inner wisdom says no, because this person has just given me the gift of knowing myself. I am grateful for that gift and can reach out to return love without needing or expecting appreciation.

In my experience, we come here to open our hearts and love ourselves, others and God. If we feel cold and aloof or separate and apart much of the time, there is a very good chance that our lives are cloudy and gray.

Do you have all of the love, money, happiness and peace that you want in your life? If not, check to see if your heart is open and joyfully aware of the abundance in each and every precious thing in you and your life.

If your heart is closed, you can open it easily with these mind-expansion techniques which enable us to become present to the present. In opening to Love, you will be enlivened by its joy and peace, so that everything you need and so richly deserve will come to you. All else will be pruned away, healed, to make room for fresh growth.

This is the simple and magical secret of life: You have within you all the Love needed to create and attract the life you want. Love calls you to shine your light, for love and love alone will heal our world.

If we stay peaceful, we can catch the waves of love upswelling in our hearts and ride them with perfect balance into our everyday choices and actions for economic parity, social justice and environmental responsibility.

To create a perfect planet of peace and love, all we have to do is remember that love is in the air. We can bring its Light into being with the thought of it, the need of it, the hope of Love that is it. In this wave is the spiritual awakening of our world.

The Secret of Having Everything You Want

March 23rd, 2009 Guest Author Posted in Healing, Law of Attraction, Life, ego, reality, right place at the right time, soul, success, true nature, true purpose, unhappiness, wisdom No Comments »

Everyone wonders whether or not there is one great secret for truly successful living. There is. And it is not a secret. It has been quietly, steadily telling itself right in front of us all along. We just couldn’t hear it over the clatter and chatter of our own secret demands. Listen quietly for a moment. Everything can change right now. Learning to hear this supreme secret is no more difficult than choosing whether to swim against a current or to let it carry you safely to the shore. Let it speak its wisdom to that secret part of you that can not only hear what it is saying but that is, in reality, its very voice. Listen to it now. It is saying, “Want What Life Wants.” Think about it. Locked within these four simple words is the secret of an uncompromising power for effortless living; a new kind of power that never fails to place you on the winning side of any situation. Why? Because when you want what Life wants, your wish is for Life itself.

“What if I don’t like what life brings to me?”

“Try to see that it is not what life has brought to you that you don’t like. It is your reactions that turn the gift of life into the resentment of it.”

“I don’t want to sound ungrateful, but speaking plainly, I’m tired of being unhappy. What difference does it make why I feel this way?”

“Because these unhappy feelings are born out of life failing to conform to your ideas of what you need to be happy. This shows you, if you will see it, that Life itself isn’t denying you happiness. It is your ideas about life that have failed you. Give up these wrong ideas instead of giving up on life. Be increasingly willing to see they are nothing but a constant source of conflict. Your false nature will tell you that you must have these self-protecting ideas; that you can’t live without them or you will lose something valuable. What you must do, in spite of any such protest to the contrary, is to see that you can’t live with them. All you will lose is your unhappiness.”

Here are two lists that will not only make these life-healing ideas more personal for you, but they will help you to help yourself make a higher choice when it comes to what you really want from life. It would be valuable to study then compare the lists to each other. You may wish to add to either list some of your own insights, which I highly encourage you to do.

Let’s look at what happens “When You Want What You Want”:

1. You are often nervous and anxious because life may not cooperate with your plans.

2. You are willing to sacrifice whatever it takes to get what you want, and this may include your integrity.

3. You are usually scheming in some way to win your next victory.

4. You are either in a battle or recovering from one.

5. You are unable to rest quietly when you need to.

6. You are easily angered when someone or something gets in your way.

7. You are forever driven to want something else.

8. You are against anyone else who also wants what you want.

9. You are certain that what you have is who you are.

10. You are always trying to convince yourself that you got what you want.

Now carefully consider the following. “When You Want What Life Wants”:

1. You are never disappointed with what happens.

2. You are always in the right place at the right time.

3. You are quietly confident no matter what the circumstances.

4. You are out of the reach of anger and anxiety.

5. You are awake and sensitive to your surroundings.

6. You are free of ever feeling as though you’ve missed out.

7. You are never thrown for a loss.

8. You are in total command of events.

9. You are mentally quiet.

10. You are eternally grateful.

“Is there a simple guideline to follow when it comes to distinguishing between what Life wants and what I want? How can I easily tell which is which?”

“Always remember the following. If any want is the source of anxiety or sorrow, that want is yours and not Life’s. If the want has pain, it is in vain. To let real Life flood in, pull yourself out of the flood of self-wants that promise a future pleasure but only deliver a present pain.”

“How do I pull myself out of the flood of my own wants?”

“See that you are being washed away by them and you will grow tired of being bounced along. Here is a key. Never accept the presence of any mental or emotional suffering as necessary, no matter how much importance these impostors lend to a particularly pressing want. By refusing their dark presence, you make space for the present moment to give you its indefinable presence. This is where the Life that you want — and that wants you — is waiting.”

“All of what you have said makes good sense. To tell the truth, I would like to let go and let Life lead, but I’m afraid. What will happen to me if I give up my demands? Won’t I lose control of my life?”

“You cannot lose control of something you never had control over in the first place. No human being controls life — his or hers or anyone else’s. If it weren’t for higher cosmic energies coming down, filling and animating your body right now, you couldn’t be holding this book in your hands or reading its words. If you want to measure the level of an individual’s stress, measure his insistence that life does as he wants. The only thing you will lose by learning to want what life wants is your fear of not being in control — which was never real control in the first place but only the sensation of it born out of living with its painful opposite.”

Here is the most important point of all. No human being needs control over life because, in reality, no one is apart from it. Who you really are, your True Nature, is not separate from life.

Let Life bring you itself. Welcome it. At each instant, it is new, full — untouched and undiminished by any moment before it. To enter into this full relationship with Life is to give yourself to your Self. Fulfilling the true purpose of Life is fulfilling yourself. Here are five special key lessons to help you want what Life wants.

1. Nothing can be released and resisted at the same time, which means that any attempt to reject some weakness detected in us is the same as protecting it.

2. True nobility is not a question of birth right or social rank; it is the native estate of each soul that, upon awakening to its divine inheritance, knows the strength of these twin truths without having to think about them: justice and mercy are one, as are love and fearlessness.

3. Nothing judges you; it is what you love — and that love alone — that either persecutes you, or stands by you in your hour of need.

4. Whoever serves what he or she fears has failed to see that all they win for their service is to become more fearful.

5. We can spend our time struggling, in vain, to make others into what we want them to be, or we can see the inherent flaw in thinking this way and — rather than trying to change others to suit our needs — see through the false idea that someone else is responsible for our fulfillment.

What Color is Your Aura?

March 20th, 2009 Guest Author Posted in Healing, Spirituality, desire, energy field, energy vibrations, life energies, magnetic energy, psychic research, spirit energy, vibration No Comments »

Ever wondered about golden haloes around head of saints, gods or spiritually enlightened people shown in their pictures? It is called Aura.

Everything is made of energy & vibrations. That’s why everything has an Aura. Aura is an energy field that reflects the subtle life energies within the body. It’s a personal electromagnetic energy field around each of us shaped like Eggshell, It is a reflection of the body’s spirit energy. It reflects our health, mental activity & emotional state. It also shows disease - often long before the onset of symptoms.

Basic Aura looks like layer of Light covered body from 2-3 inches. But it can extend. You can see colors in extended part.

Psychics can see auras. Very young children can see aura spontaneously. Infants frequently look ABOVE a person in front of them. When they don’t like the color of the aura above the head, or if this color is much different from their parent’s aura, they cry, no matter how much smiling the person does.

Do you feel attracted or repelled to some person without even knowing them? It is because we can feel energy of other people’s aura subconsciously.

There have been various attempts to photograph the aura. Aura Photography was first experimented with by scientist Nicola Tesla in the 1890’s. (By the way Tesla invented system for electrical transmission- the AC (alternating current) system that we use in our homes today & DC (Direct Current) is Edison’s invention) The Soviet Union included Aura Photography in the psychic research conducted in the 1960’s. In 1975 The University of California at Los Angeles was able to measure Auras with great accuracy.

Semyon D. Kirlian a Russian technician was repairing equipment in a hospital when he noticed something unusual. He later found that through the interaction of electric currents and photographic plates, imprints of living organisms developed on film.

Kirlian and his wife developed the process in 1939. They call it the ” Kirlian Effect” (pronounced keer-lee-an) In the late 1940’s the Russians began serious research, but it was not until the 1970’s that Kirlian photography research began in the United States.

Kirlian photography involves the transferring of a high frequency charge through a metal plate attached to a Polaroid film camera base. The finger tips are lightly placed on the film which is encased in a light-tight bag, and an electric exposure is made. Sixty seconds later, after the film develops, the Kirlian photograph is complete and the subject’s energy field is revealed.

There are many different colored bands in a person’s aura.

Each color has significance on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level. The color of the Aura is based on frequency (cycles/second) of light energy. For this reason, the Aura may, and often does, change color, as the movement of light particles in the auric field responds to external forces.

Meaning of colors :

Purple: indicates spiritual thoughts.

Indigo: The color of the seeker who has inborn psychic and intuitive abilities. It represents an astounding ability in the handling of practical matters.

Blue: Balanced existence, sustaining life, eased nerve system, transmitting forces and energy. People with blue strong point in their Aura are relaxed, balanced and feel ready to live in a cave and survive.

Green: restful, modifying energy, natural healing ability. All natural healers should have it. People with a green strong point in their Auras are natural healers.

Yellow: joy, freedom, non-attachment, freeing or releasing vital forces. People who glow yellow are full of inner joy, very generous and not attached to anything.

Orange: uplifting and absorbing. Inspiring. A sign of power. Ability and/or desire to control people.

Red: materialistic thoughts, thoughts about the physical body. Predominantly red Aura indicates materialistically oriented person.

Brown: unsettling, distracting, materialistic, negating spirituality.

Gray: dark thoughts, depressing thoughts, unclear intentions, presence of a dark side of personality.

Now do you want to see the Aura? If yes take this exercise:

1. Situate the person in front of a very softly illuminated PLAIN WHITE background. A color background will change Aura colors, so you need additional knowledge about combining colors. Some combinations of background and Aura colors may cause misinterpretation problems.

2. Choose ONE SPOT to look at. The middle of the forehead is VERY GOOD. This is a location of so called Brow Chakra or the Third Eye.

3. Look at this spot for 30 to 60 seconds or longer.

4. Resist temptation to look around. You should see that the background nearby the person is brighter and has a DIFFERENT color than the background further away. This is your own perception of the Aura. The longer you concentrate, the better you will see it. Remember, concentration on one spot increases your sensitivity by accumulating the effect of the Aura vibration reaching your eyes.

How to see your own Aura :

Stand about 1.5 m in front of a good size mirror. In the beginning it is best if the background behind you is plain white and there are no shadows. Illumination should be VERY soft and uniform not bright. Follow instructions above for seeing Auras.

PRACTICE for at least 10-15 minutes each day to increase your sensitivity and develop Auric sight. Remember that practice is required to develop Auric sight.

PS: Aura is very sensitive. That’s why sometimes it gets captured on normal cameras too.

How Intuition And Inner Wisdom Can Strengthen You During Difficult Times

January 27th, 2009 Guest Author Posted in Healing, Inner Guidance, Life, Meditation, empowerment, gut feelings, intention, intuition, meditation prayer, mind and spirit, spiritual essence No Comments »

All of us were created with an innate inner wisdom which guides our lives, serves as an inner “truth meter” and helps us to make important decisions at critical turning points in our lives. Some call this natural gift intuition, spiritual guidance or “gut feelings”.

Each of us connects to intuition in our own unique ways. Those with artistic or musical gifts may call upon their muse to inspire them with creative ideas. Those whose work involves great physical or mental endurance may connect with their inner wisdom by challenging themselves deeply to break through the barriers that usually stand between themselves and their inner gifts. Some of us may live very busy lives with little time to tune into our inner guidance, but our dreams serve as messengers to share with us the important information we may have tuned out in the midst of a busy day.

Our intuition is a profound gift which connects our embodied physical self with our divine spiritual essence. The soul can communicate with our embodied self through this line of light, and we can develop this inner connection over time through meditation, prayer, and the desire to know ourselves more deeply.

Our intuition can be of great benefit at all times in our lives, and especially during times of great stress or difficulty. In situations where we are facing unanticipated challenges such as the loss of a loved one or an illness, many intense emotions arise from within us. Our habitual supports are removed or shaken, which can cause us to feel unmoored, adrift, without anything to hold onto.

Our intuition can act as a guiding compass, pointing us instinctively towards the supports we need to get through the difficulties we are facing. When our minds fail us because we feel overwhelmed, the voice of our inner wisdom speaks clearly and will repeat itself as often as necessary.

If we are accustomed to being in control of our lives, and then suddenly are faced with a situation we cannot manage, we may feel frightened and desperate because our usual methods of coping no longer are working. Intuition however, will always work, even in the direst of circumstances, because our embodied human self in the physical world is always connected with our larger spiritual self.

In a time of challenge or crisis, our spiritual support systems are activated from the spiritual realms. Our connection with intuition or guidance is strengthened, and those loving beings in the spiritual realms that watch over us and guide our lives provide extra assistance.

If we have become accustomed to discounting our inner wisdom, or have simply shut down the intuitive parts of ourselves through years of neglect, it may feel as though we cannot find the thread of light that would re-connect us to our source. It is important to understand that no matter how disconnected we become from our divine inner wisdom, it is always present and available to us. Even if we have erected barriers to shut out our inner guidance for a time, these can removed by our diligent prayer and intention.

If we have been disconnected from ourselves for a very long time, the process of reconnecting will often bring up old emotions, thoughts and memories that we may have hidden from ourselves that we were not ready to deal with. During this re-balancing phase, it is helpful to participate in some kind of regular spiritual or emotional support system that can help stabilize our inner connection with spirit.

One of the most challenging aspects of the healing process is remembering that emotions and memories from the past are coming up in order to be healed and released. A support system can help us to anchor in the strength of our inner being, to allow the emotions and feelings to pass through us and to release from our body, mind and spirit.

As this cleansing process happens, intuition and inner wisdom are naturally strengthened, for there are fewer barriers between ourselves and our spirit. This deeper inner connection can provide a source of wisdom, freedom, empowerment and comfort during difficult times, and will sustain us throughout life with greater love, joy and peace. Inner wisdom is a great gift, and is intended not only to bless our individual lives, but to share with others to bless all of life by our connection with the divine.

Holiday Expectations

November 18th, 2008 Cheryl Petersen Posted in Healing, Law of Attraction, Life, Spirituality, forgiveness, happiness, imagination, love No Comments »

Imaginations can get tense during the holidays. Expectations wrestle in our minds and lives. Holiday traditions are jammed into already busy days. Instant gratification turns into regret. Debts are accumulated. Or sometimes, the imagination just shuts down and we slog through the holidays doing what other people are expecting of us. What if this season, a spiritual expectation can improve our experience?

A spiritual expectation is different from a worldly expectation. Spiritual expectations equal a productive developing consciousness. Worldly expectations are analogous to a frenzied or idle consciousness that can’t get out of itself. For example, if we expect a holiday party to give us joy, joy has just been reduced to time/space, excluding joy from many areas of our life. And, where is joy for those who weren’t invited to the party? What happens to joy if we get sick and cannot attend the party? How reliable is joy when we go to the party and have fun, but return home to dirty dishes?

Spiritual expectations are linked to that which is greater. If we expect joy from the sheer fact we radiate joy, we can be joyful whether we are getting ready for a holiday party or not. Aligning our thoughts with the metaphysical fact that joy precedes us—joy is found for others, is found now, at a party, and when we come home to dirty dishes.

Along with joy, spiritual expectations do not depend on any human event, season, or tradition. Admittedly, the holidays can be a grand time however that grandness can extend throughout the year when emanating from unconditional hopes. It is intriguing to improve our holiday season experience and then continue to feel the holiday spirit year round. However, this requires breaking away from the familiar, from the common beliefs of what we have trained ourselves to think about the holidays.

From 21st Century Science and Health the first English revision of Mary Baker Eddy’s Science and Health, we read, “The human mind is educated into selfish and sensualistic thinking as it constantly repeats the same thoughts to its self. If we are always talking about the body or persistently anticipating bodily pleasures (or even nervously expecting pain), we are being skillfully trained in the unspiritual. This education is at the expense of spiritual development.” Likewise, if we constantly expect temporary enjoyment, or even stress, during the holidays, our spiritual development is neglected.

Many people review their holiday experiences and strive to eliminate worldly expectations by improving their habits and rituals. Less time and money are wasted. More forgiveness and philanthropy is expressed. And, their happiness and security become more stable. A confidence is built up—a confidence that love and joy is found within consciousness, not in a particular holiday or gift or food.

Expectations can be powerful. What we are hoping is generally where our head and heart are being directed. Instead of expecting the holidays to bring good-will, peace, and joy, realize and act on the fact that good-will, peace, and joy will bring a beautiful holiday experience all year round.

Learn to Balance Your Chakras

November 14th, 2008 Edward Mills Posted in Energetics, Energy, Healing, Personal Growth, chakras, energetics of attraction, human energy systems No Comments »

Everything is energy.

I’m sure, by now, you’ve heard that phrase. This is not just some new age, woo woo platitude: Scientists have shown us that, at the atomic level, everything that appears solid is mostly empty space, or energy. In fact, your body is over 99.9999% empty space.

And because everything is energy, it just makes sense that awareness of that energy is a critical component of your success as the Deliberate Creator of your life. That is why I created the Energetics of Attraction Digital Learning Course. It provides you with powerful knowledge and practical tools for integrating the Human Energy Systems into the framework of the Law of Attraction.

But because it is a foundational level course, I provide only a basic overview of the chakra system. I do have a full chakra course planned for early next year. But what can you do if you’re ready to jump in and learn more about the chakras now?

Sonia Choquette - Chakra BalancingWell, the DailyOm has an opportunity to learn from one of the best in the business. Sonia Choquette is a unique and extraordinary spiritual teacher, intuitive guide and masterful catalyst whose special gift is to energetically activate the highest vibration and free the authentic Spirit in everyone she meets. She is a NY Times bestselling Author and #1 Amazon.com bestseller and has also been a personal Intuitive advisor to such New Age Leaders as Louise Hay, Julia Cameron, Caroline Myss, Dr. Wayne Dyer, pop icon Billy Corgan and consultant to international business leaders.

The DailyOm is offering Sonia’s 10-week Chakra Balancing course for just $39.

When your chakras are healthy and clear, your life flows smoothly. When any one of them is sluggish, shut down, or its vibration is weak, the imbalance can show up as a physical symptom affecting a particular area of your body, or as an emotional or psychological symptom affecting your outlook.

And when one or more of your chakras are out of balance, your ability to attract and manifest your desires dramatically decreases.

With the Balancing Your Chakras on-line course, you will first come to understand the nature of each chakra. Second, you will learn how to tell if any of your chakras are in need of attention, and third, the course will show you simple behaviors you can do to work with each chakra to bring your life back into harmonious and healthy flow. The result is that you will start to feel more confident, energized, and peaceful-at every moment in any situation.

Some of the topics covered in this course include:

  • Detailed information about each of the 7 chakras
  • How to determine which chakras are need of help
  • How to work with each chakra to bring your life back into harmonious and healthy flow
  • How to balance your chakras
  • Healing mudras for each chakra
  • Corresponding colors and tones for each chakra
  • Real life challenges we all face and how to use chakras to help
  • How to read chakras
  • Chakra exercises and visualizations
  • 22 video clips that give you practical and in depth information how to work with your chakras

If you are ready to amp up your ability to attract your desires, this chakra balancing class is a great resource. Go check it out.

And if you’re interested in more specific information on how to integrate energetic awareness into the Law of Attraction, go sign up for the Energetics of Attraction Digital Learning Course. I’ve got a Recession Busting 1/2 off sale happening right now!

How to Meditate like Goldilocks

October 4th, 2008 Dr. Rebbie Straubing Posted in Energy, Healing, Inner Guidance, Meditation, meditate, meditation practice, meditative state No Comments »

If Goldilocks were to leaf through a few meditation books, she might find some approaches to be too hot, others too cold. But soon enough, we know she’d land on a system that feels “just right” to her. She always does.

Meditation is Like Porridge

When you take your first taste of meditation, it is good to follow your inner guidance. Too hot? Too cold? Find an approach that feels “just right” as it offers you a bridge from your every day state of mind into the clarity, awakening, and healing you seek.

Scattered Mind

In our ordinary state of mind, we rapidly alternate our focus between what is wanted and what is not wanted. This creates static in our vibration. When you focus in such a way that increases the split in your energy, you feel worse. When you deliberately select a focus that brings you into alignment, you feel better.

The more you become like Goldilocks, the more you can clearly tell which technique feels too hot, which one’s too cold, and which one is “just right” for you. The more you follow your inner guidance, the more easily and swiftly you can bring yourself into a deep and beneficial meditative state.

The Missing Ramp

Most people give up their meditation practice (or never even begin) for one reason. This reason takes many forms but there is really only one reason. It may feel like “I don’t have the time.” Or it may show up as “I don’t really understand how to do it.” It may even look like “I try but I fall asleep.”

All these obstacles to meditation are the same at their root. They may look different, but they are all evidence of something missing. The thing that is missing is a ramp.

Your mind is functioning at one frequency and meditation asks it to function at a completely different frequency. When you sit down in your everyday mental pace and ask yourself to jump levels with no ramp, you may be asking the impossible of yourself.

But when you have a ramp, you can do it. When you have a simple way to reliably move from the rhythm of your everyday mind into the rhythm of meditation, you advance rapidly. You begin to reap the benefits of meditation that usually take years and years to achieve.

Aligned Mind

A physical ramp will get your car from one level to another, but what kind of ramp will elevate your mind? The ramp that brings you comfortably into meditation is built of inner alignment. And just like Goldilocks, who knows a good ramp when she sees one, you will know you have achieved a shift in your vibration when you have found your inner alignment. It feels “just right.”

Here is an exercise you can do right now to begin your inner alignment. Try this before you meditate and see if it changes the experience for you.

1 – Sit with your spine upright and close your eyes.

2 – Imagine a vertical beam of light running through your spine. It extends infinitely above your head. It also extends below you through the center of the earth and beyond.

3 – allow your muscles to relax and let this beam of light call your spine to a relaxed and powerfully upright posture.

4 – On each in breath, feel your breath begin at the base of your spine and let it rise through the beam of light to the top your head.

5 – On each out breath, feel the breath and the light expand outward to fill your whole body. Feel it illuminate and cleanse your physical cells as well as your energy body.

This simple process of beginning your alignment with the vertical axis offers many benefits:

· It brings you into greater awareness of the now.
· It promotes healing.
· It heightens your sensory awareness so that you have more joy in your human experience.
· It augments your insights and talents.
· It increases your natural abilities by making you whole.

As you do this process, I recommend you approach it like Goldilocks. Find a way to do it that feels “just right.”

Sound Healing – It Works!

September 23rd, 2008 Edward Mills Posted in Energetics, Energy, Healing, Personal Growth, Workshops, sound healing No Comments »

Have you ever been moved to tears by a song?

Have you ever felt the music - literally - moving through your body?

Has a song ever helped you move up the emotional scale?

Music is vibration. Music is energy. And, as you’ve probably heard a million times by now, everything is energy.

So what better way to heal yourself than through sound and music.

I know that there are times when I’m not feeling as “up” as I might like. One of the best ways for me to ramp up my vibration is to put on some music. It might be a song that helps me move some emotions that are stuck in my body. Or it may be some calming, meditative music that helps me ground. Or it could be some rockin’ tune that cranks up my energy so that I can “make things happen!”

Whatever vibration I need, I know that I can find music that will provide it.

And that’s why I was thrilled to find out that Jonathan Goldman had partnered with DailyOm to create a 8-week course on Sound Healing.

If you don’t know Jonathan Goldman, he is a pioneer and an international authority on sound healing.  He is author of HEALING SOUNDS, SHIFTING FREQUENCIES, TANTRA OF SOUND (co-authored with his wife Andi), winner of the 2006 Visionary Award for “Best Alternative Health Book” and his latest THE 7 SECRETS OF SOUND HEALING (Hay House).  A lecturing member of the International Society for Music Medicine,  Jonathan presents HEALING SOUNDS SEMINARS throughout the world.  And there’s much more!

When he was creating his course, he asked himself: “If I wanted to learn about the power of sound to
heal and transform and I wanted to do it through an on-line course, what would be the most profound and important information and exercises I could impart?”

He then spent many months developing the DailyOM On-line Sound Healing Course.

Here’s just some of what you’ll take away from the Introduction to Sound Healing Course:

  • The Principles of Sound Healing: the nature of sound, hearing, resonance entrainment, intent, visualization, and belief in the manifestation process.
  • Breath: the secret of how to create a deep, relaxed breath that will amplify the electromagnetic energy of your brain and your heart.
  • Toning: learn to use your own voice to resonate your body as an instrument for healing and transformation.
  • Vowels As Mantras: discover the healing benefits of how to balance and align your etheric centers using the sacred vowel sounds.
  • And much, much more!

And the best part is that because it’s being offered through DailyOm, this course is only $39! Plus there are a ton of amazing bonuses that complement the course.

You can register for the Introduction to Sound Healing Course here.

Healing Emotional Wounds Teleclass from Deborah King and DailyOM

July 21st, 2008 Edward Mills Posted in Healing, Personal Growth, dailyom, deborah king, emotional wounds, seminars No Comments »

I’m a big fan of “Emotional Healing.” But it wasn’t always that way!

I spent many years trying to heal myself and evolve through mostly intellectual processes. I believed that Iif I could just “figure it all out” I could think myself into enlightenment!

It didn’t work!

Sure, those intellectual processes helped me gain an understanding of my wounds, but they didn’t do much to release the charge of those wounds. And they certainly did not help me transform the negative, self-limiting patterns and habits those wounds were creating in my life.

It was not until I began engaging in some powerful emotional healing processes that my personal development really took off and I truly began to change my life!

And that is why I am thrilled to recommend a new course by Deborah King and the folks at DailyOM called Healing Emotional Wounds.

By now you know that the connection between our emotions and our health and happiness cannot be ignored or denied. I’m sure you know people who appear to be fine on the surface, but who have past traumas running much of their lives from under the surface.

And I’ll give you a hint… We ALL have traumatic experiences from the past running our lives!

So one of the most important steps on the way to a life of true harmony and balance, vibrant health, abundant wealth, and deep relationships, is discovering how to release and heal emotional wounds.
In this on-line course from Deborah King, a noted health and wellness expert, you will learn 8 key lessons to help you recognize and heal your wounds.

Click here to Heal Your Emotional Wounds

This 8-week course contains powerful lessons that include precise information about how to work with your emotions. Audio guided meditations will take you through the 7 energy centers (chakras) of the body to help you cleanse the emotional wounds from each center. Specific action exercises will give you clear guidance on how to actively recognize and release the wounds that you need to heal in order to fulfill your highest potential in life.

The emotions that we deem too scary or embarrassing don’t just go away. We may try to forget about them through drugs or alcohol, overeating, gambling, shopping therapy, or any other addictive or destructive behavior, but they still don’t go away. We need the courage to face the emotional wounds we have always tried to run from. Although, as Deborah always says to the celebrities she’s worked with, we don’t need to remember or re-experience the original events themselves to do this work.

Deborah King is the author of Truth Heals: What You Hide Can Hurt You (Hay House 2009). She a recognized health & wellness expert, a regular blogger for The Huffington Post and Psychology Today, and a “healer to the stars,” as well as being an attorney. She makes frequent appearances on national news and entertainment programs, and is known for her insightful and entertaining commentary on the news of the day.

Everyone that enrolls in the course also receives many valuable free bonus gifts including my own Energetics of Attraction Starter Package.

If you’re interested in learning more about the process of emotional healing, I would definitely go check out this course from Deborah King and DailyOM.

Synchronicity of Happiness

July 19th, 2008 Other Authors Posted in Healing, Spirituality, coincidence, happiness, spiritual courage, spiritual healing No Comments »

I was 3000 miles from home and had an afternoon book signing to do. My morning was free and so the last minute decision was made to go to a meeting on spiritual healing. Unfamiliar with the roads, I was at least 5 minutes late. Another woman was also late. Determination was on our faces. And it was half a year later before the woman, Hannah, and I realized we were determined to meet one another. The meeting was frosting on the cake. Experience and hindsight has taught us, it wasn’t a coincidence of events that brought us together, but a synchronicity of motives.

Our motives still are: to teach our children through love and understanding, to nurture spirituality in our work environment, and help others strengthen their sense of well-being. Hannah and I feel as though we have known each other forever. We can read each other’s mind. Obviously, significant motives are related to meaningful synchronicity. From 21st Century Science and Health, “Existence is happier when our motive is to entertain and form relationships with people who are striving to improve their inner self.”

People are not predestined to shallow relationships or a fickle happiness. We are realizing that we can chose an advancing goodness instead of accept declining joy. An effort is requisite. And it is important to understand what it is we are choosing. We don’t choose our fate. We chose the thoughts and actions that lead to an already existing end result. Hannah and I did not choose to get a friend. We chose to accept and express thoughts of spiritual courage, awareness, happiness, and healing. Because these thoughts are immortal, they are shared. Similar thoughts attract, coordinate, and embrace simultaneously.

A mathematician adds 2+2+2 and gets 6. If the mathematician chooses to get another answer, say 7, effort is needed for a change. Effort is not put into forcing 2+2+2 to be a 7. Effort is not put into inventing a 7 as if it doesn’t exist. Effort is metaphysical; discovering the correct numbers (thoughts) destined to be a 7. Most grand is the fact that there is no restriction in the process. The correct thoughts are not difficult or impossible to come up with. A few examples are 2+2+3, 3+3+1, ½+1/2+6……And the equation that works for someone else isn’t necessarily the one for you, but it will still produce a synchronicity of joy.

Improvement in happiness and health is not restricted to a few set thoughts and actions. Keep in mind the better thoughts that come to your mind. Do not focus on the outcome or try to take on the thoughts of other people. Love you own inspired thoughts.

We are individuals. What is improvement for me may not be improvement for you. I may need to entertain thoughts of patience; you may already have patience and think about flexibility. We each can meditate, receive, and act on immortal thoughts that improve our own situation. Furthermore, the improvement will unite us. Spiritual thoughts are very useful and meaningful. They originate in Love, Truth, and result concurrently in happiness and liveliness.

Thoughts based in fear and unawareness is predetermined to self-doom. Spiritual thoughts are completely different from the wired human thoughts. The two never work together and actually bring confusion. It would be like adding 2+2+a dead log.

To experience a coincidence of events is fascinating; however, a coincidence of spiritual motives is profound, expansive. Life includes happiness which is naturally shared. A synchronicity of spiritual motives will unite, improve, and genuinely impress us and our world. Existence does have meaning, an inspiring, health-giving, happy meaning.

How To Forgive

June 22nd, 2008 Michelle Beaudry Posted in Healing, Healing & Forgiveness, Life, anger, forgiveness, hatred, mental stress, negativity, personal power No Comments »

Teaches you how to forgive, step by step. Forgiveness allows you to upgrade how you feel about your past, and get on happily with your life.

The past cannot be undone. What you change is how you feel about it.

Make The Change Happen

How are you going to do it, my friend? You’re all done feeling wretched all the time, you know forgive does not mean forget, you are soooo ready, but you need a plan. Read on, my friend, and find out how to get the benefits of forgiveness for yourself. Right now.

Guilt and Hatred Are Killers

Ask any doctor. Stress is a killer. This is because your body and mind are a continuum. In other words, although they are not entirely the same, a great overlap exists that unites them. Relieve your mental stress and your body will be happier too. Nothing relieves mental stress like forgiveness. Guilt and hatred resolve nothing; they just sustain the negativity that continues to obstruct you from your goals. Forgiveness, on the other hand, undoes the stickiness that binds you to an unhappy past.

Does It Work?

Absolutely - for you. Since the forgiveness experience will happen only for you, only you will receive its benefits. Your forgiveness may not influence a change in the behavior of others one bit. But it’s not about them. It’s about you. Forgiveness is about generating your own healing. You are the only player in your life over whom you have all the power. It’s time to exercise your personal power, your right to choose to feel better about who you are, your right to process your past and move on with your life.

It’s a Private Thing

Since forgiving is all about you getting your own heart clear, it’s best done in the privacy of your own mind. Afterwards you’ll have the choice of telling others, if you like, but initially the process works best in solitude. Tell no one, just do the work. And watch how easy it is to feel better all day every day. Contrast this to the fact that all the pity parties in the world with your friends and relatives never made you feel better one bit. Those tactics don’t work because they don’t process emotions, they merely create a feedback loop that deepens the groove of the pain. Since you know that what you used to do didn’t work, it’s time to do what does.

Forgive in Steps

Like a pyramid, forgiveness may seem overwhelming at first, but it’s easily accomplished step by step. So begin by recognizing that there are three sections:

.forgiveness of others
.self-forgiveness
.receiving forgiveness from others

And these can be further broken down into nicely manageable chunks.

Forgiveness of Others

When you forgive others in categories, it proceeds more easily. For example, you could choose to use the categories of Strangers, Friends, Family, The People who Hurt You The Most, and Anybody Else. You may include additional categories like Exlovers, Neighbors, Coworkers, Employees, etc., and some forgivers need to add the category of Humanity Itself. And you can start with the categories you find easiest. Once you notice how good it feels to forgive, this will inspire you to forgive everyone as much as possible, as fully as you can.

Self Forgiveness

In this step, start with your earliest years and ascend: Newborn, three year old, five year old, ten year old, teenager, 20s, etc., and on up to your current age, forgiving yourself thoroughly for absolutely everything as you go. Once you get to your current age, forgive yourself for your whole life. Remember, all humans are flawed. No one is a perfect son or daughter, man or woman, husband or wife, student or teacher, worker or boss. You are allowed to make mistakes and learn from them. Forgiveness is an optimal method to process your learnings.

Receiving Forgiveness from Others

In the privacy of your own mind, visualize then apologize to folks you’ve wronged, and let them accept your apology. It may surprise you to learn that others really want to forgive you. They do. So let them forgive you and receive the cleansing of that forgiveness. Afterwards, with some people, you may elect to actually apologize to them in person, but proceed carefully. There are a few folks in the world who can not accept apologies in real life, and this is why you process all of your apologies in your mind’s eye thoroughly first, so that you get the emotional benefit of having apologized whether those apologies get accepted in real life or not.

Forgive by Percentages in Repeated Attempts

Can you forgive the people who hurt you the most 10%? 20%? 80%? 99.9%? It’s not all or nothing. Ease on up to higher and higher percentages, always aiming for 100% forgiveness, but being real with yourself. If the people who hurt you the most are not 100% forgiveable on your first attempt, continue forgiving them bit by bit till you get as close to full forgiveness as possible. Start with a realistic percentage, then increase your forgiveness on subsequent attempts, always aiming for 100%. Just do your best.

Forgiving People Versus Events

It can be one thing to forgive individual people, and can yet be quite another thing to forgive the things those people did. What to do? Forgive the events and actions as they come to mind. As you think of instance after instance, forgive everyone involved as best you can for everything that happened.

Is There An Easier Way?

Yes, there is an easier way. “The Forgiveness Pyramid” CD takes you through all the steps in under an hour. Using emotive visualization, you’ll be able to have the full forgiveness experience privately, in your own time, in your own home. You are unique, and may find that some steps in the “Forgiveness Pyramid” require repeated listening for full relief. And full relief is what you want.

Law of Attraction: Why It’s Never Too Late To Start Using It Now

April 27th, 2008 Other Authors Posted in Affirmations, Doreen Virtue, Healing, Law of Attraction, Louise L. Hay, Wayne Dyer, belief, emotional problems, hay house, law of attraction books, oprah winfrey, success, visualization, wish No Comments »

There are so many people just learning about The Law of Attraction who say they wish they had learned it when they were younger. “Oh how different their life would be!” they exclaim.

I’m here to tell you that it is never too late to learn or to reap the benefits of this wonderful way of thinking.

The perfect example of this is a recent episode that was on Oprah Winfrey‘s show. She was doing a follow-up on The Secret and more ways people could learn to use the Law of Attraction in their lives.

She had as one of her guests, Louise Hay. Talk about inspiring! Louise Hay did not start learning about the Law of Attraction until she was 50 years old. However, now at 81 she has accomplished more within the last 30 years than most people accomplish in their entire lifetimes! (Not to mention she also looks awesome!)

Louise Hay is a best selling author as well as the extremely successful publisher of Hay House books. If you have purchased any best selling Law of Attraction books over the last 10 years or so, you might be very familiar with the name.

This is a woman who has an extremely difficult upbringing. Her childhood was unstable and impoverished, and her teen years were marked by abuse.

She went through a divorce after 14 years of marriage and when later in life she was diagnosed with cancer, she put her philosophies into practice and instead of using surgery or drugs, developed an intensive program of affirmations, visualization, nutritional cleansing and psychotherapy. Within six months she was cancer free.

In 1984 she published her book titled You Can Heal Your Life based on her own experiences and included the information she talked about in her work shops. It explains how our beliefs and ideas about ourselves are often the cause of our emotional problems and physical maladies and how, by using certain tools, we can change our thinking and our lives for the better.

It reached the New York Times bestseller list and stayed there for 13 consecutive weeks.

To date, over 35,000,000 copies of the books have been sold. But she didn’t stop there. She then became the head of Hay House , a prosperous corporation that has sold more than ten million books and tapes since it started. It includes authors such as Wayne Dyer, Doreen Virtue, among others. This was a venture she started in her living room.

She then proceeded to start the Hay Foundation and The Louise L. Hay Charitable Fund, two non-profit organizations established by Louise that support many diverse organizations, including those dealing with AIDS, battered women, and other challenged individuals in our society.

Now at 81 years old, she had just come out with her first movie release titled, You Can Heal Your Life: The Movie.

So let’s do a quick rundown shall we?

Unstable and poor childhood Abused as a teenager Divorced after 14 years of marriage Diagnosed with Cancer (though this was later in life)
Learns about the Law of Attraction at age 50

Starts training in a ministerial program Becomes a popular speaker at a Religious Science church and starts counseling clients Lectures at workshops on people loving themselves and healing their lives Cures herself of cancer through alternative means Publishes her own New York Times Bestseller and sells over 35,000,000 copies Forms “The Hayride” , a famous support group for people with AIDS Starts her own publishing house with some of the greatest Law of Attraction writers today Starts two non-profit organizations in her name Contributes tons of articles to newspapers and magazine articles Appears on television around the world Has a monthly column titled “Dear Louise” that appears in more than 50 publications around the world At 81years old, releases her first-ever film on her life and work You Can Heal Your Life: The Movie

So, if you ever had a single doubt about all the different ways the Law of Attraction could work for you, or had a moments hesitation about how old you are when you are beginning to learn it, look to this wonderfully inspirational woman.

It is never too late. Think about it. Isn’t even just one day lived in complete peace worth it? Now just imagine doing it for the rest of your lifetime.

Affirmation of Undamaged Spirituality

It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon in October. I was cleaning the horse stables with a front-end loader. This large piece of farm equipment was familiar to me, having operated it for years on the farm. So, it was rather surprising when the engine blew up in flames, completely filling the cab with fire. Intuition caused me to reach for the only small opening out. I climbed up and out of the opening, jumped over the moving wheels, and crashed onto the gravel road, face first.

What do I remember when the flames engulfed me?

Asking what was going on. Feeling a mental affirmation that everything would be okay. Quietness. And, taking the stance that God is my life.

I was taken to the emergency room. The emergency room doctor reviewed my X-rays and came to tell me, “Your liver is bleeding, which generally is fatal. I need to find a surgeon to operate on you.”

While the surgeon was being located, I mentally reaffirmed that my life is connected to the undamaged Spirit, the source of spirituality.

The laws behind spirituality have proven to be a vital force in my human experience. And, that October afternoon, spirituality guided my consciousness to focus on the qualities of appreciation and honesty. This precluded me from thinking based on fear and dread.

The surgeon came to my room and introduced himself; he examined the monitors, reading my vital signs. With happy amazement he told me, “Your liver is stabilizing.” This actually allowed more time for them to get the operating room ready and also allowed me more time to digest the food in my stomach so it would be empty for the operation.

The operation that was never necessary!

Spirituality was already painlessly operating in my thought. Spiritual ideas from a book I regularly study, “Science and Health,” by Mary Baker Eddy, were being verified as legitimate. A few main ideas are that Spirit is all-in-All, our infinite source of being, and people are spiritual beings. Our spirituality can be, and is, discovered to be supreme, positively influencing human mortals to heal and experience the truth of undamaged Spirit, God.

Physically, I was unable to do anything on my own. A catheter was put in. I had fractures, a useless arm, a badly injured eye that was swollen shut, and I had second degree burns on half of my face (the side I landed on the gravel road with). However, metaphysically, I was active. I was honest with the surgeon. He realized that meditation was a significant factor in my life. Yet, from a practical standpoint, if fear ever blocked me from praying and my body began reverting into danger, we would reconsider our actions.

I sincerely appreciated the nurses who carefully and compassionately removed the gravel from the burned side of my face. The nurses cleaned my face in intervals, instinctively supporting the fact that mind and body work in unity. The nurses never pushed my mind into the realm of painful irritated thinking and my body healed quickly. The body could not help but conform to mind; to their compassion and my appreciative thought.

Pain relievers were unnecessary the entire time, throughout all the care, cleaning, and healing. After the second day, I was taken out of the ICU and put in a room of my own.

My husband took me home on the third day. Within three weeks I was taking care of my family, working, and even took a snowmobile out for a ride on the weekend. There is no scarring from the burns.

During this particular healing, it became solidly evident to me to revise “Science and Health,” first published in the year 1875. This book contains timeless, universal principles that are available to everyone throughout time. Therefore, the next ten years were filled with research, meditation, work, and spiritual growth. The result of this interesting work is “21st Century Science and Health.”

The energy of our tremendous cosmos mimics the energy of spirituality, advancing and expanding human beings into the possibility of non-intrusive healing. Affirmation of the ideas found in “21st Century Science and Health” are useful. We recognize, and can substantiate, more humaneness, more enlightenment, and our undeniable, undamaged spiritual nature.

Miracles Happen Every Day–Open Your Eyes!

April 6th, 2008 Other Authors Posted in Healing, Kenneth Copeland, Life, Spirituality, belief system, miracle, miracles No Comments »

Miracles still occur everyday. Keep your eyes open and you will see and be a part of them. A miracle is a supernatural event that might not occur otherwise unless there is extraordinary encounter, situation, or distress that requires it. A miracle can shatter time, as we know it. The right elements and absolutely the best people to resolve a situation are lined up and brought together with awesome speed. Supernatural protection, guidance, speed, strength, agility, stamina, ability, and healing are suddenly available to average people. On an energetic side very few of us know for sure what happened in those exact moments of a miracle unfolding. We are just grateful when it does happen. Miracles have happened regardless of what religion a person or group has practiced or where they live in the world. A miracle is an act of great compassion for everyone involved. It could become a catalyst for great change. Surely after a miracle occurs in your life, you are not the same. Everyone who is impacted by a miracle is greatly changed. For many it is an opportunity to drop an old belief system that has stopped them, and open to a new flow and regain their love of life.

There are many other examples of miracles occurring. There was show on TV called “It’s a Miracle” and every week they would show three or four miracles that happened to real people. It was so touching to see these miracles and the show gave you hope. In one episode a single mom with two boys, was struggling through a very difficult thanksgiving holiday shortly after her divorce. She lived in a cheap apartment complex. She woke up feeling very depressed, lonely and worthless about her self. She kept thinking about a thanksgiving meal, but she didn’t have any money for food for her and her boys.

No one had invited them to thanksgiving meal and she felt alone. She had taken the kids to the park and bought a hot dog for each of them. But everyone was still hungry and by the time they got home. The mother was feeling quite dejected. As they were walking up the stairs to their room an elderly woman came out of the lower apartment and waved at them excitedly. She had made a nice turkey dinner for them and wanted to invite them all to thanksgiving dinner. The family accepted and entered into the woman’s apartment.

The mom described everything as warm and cozy and the lights were softly lit. They had a wonderful meal, and the woman gave them unconditional love and acceptance. The family had enough left-overs for the week and the single mother’s self esteem was lifted. She felt loved, respected and that she was a good mom, and that everything was going to be okay. The surprise came the next morning when the young woman returned to the elderly woman’s apartment to give back the borrowed Tupperware for the food of the night before. No one was home, and when the young mom looked through all the windows, she discovered that the apartment was completely empty of any furniture and did not look like any one at all had even occupied it as recently as last night.

When she inquired with the apartment manager, he told her that apartment had been empty for three to four months. When she was interviewed for the program she told the audience that the elderly host had served all their favorite foods, and she knew specific information about the family and the woman. She knew where the young mom worked and what the boys enjoyed. The young woman felt in her heart that she had dinner with an angel that night.

From the book, Real People. Real Needs. Real Victories by Kenneth Copeland Publications which describes actual miracles that happened to his partners, this is an except from the story called “When time moved ahead in Green Valley.” It was set in the Appalachians and it tells of a woman who was raising her grandsons on her farm. She was a woman of great faith and she was well versed in the bible. Her grandson Michael who was eleven years old at that time, had jumped onto the back of the tractor just as it was being backed out of the barn. The metal rails of the barn ceiling were very low and Michael forgot to duck his head as they passed overhead. He was hit with full force in the face and head by the metal rails and was picked off his feet and squeezed between the tractor and the barn rails above. The left side of his face was totally flattened. The bridge of his nose was shoved a half inch into his skull. His left eye had been displaced. His nostrils were ripped away and blood spurted from his nose. Michael’s grandmother was terrified when she saw him, but she prayed in faith over him, and kept her fear in restraint. She had to drive Michael to the hospital because there was no ambulance service.

When he arrived there after the initial exam and review of his xrays the doctors there had to send him to another hospital fifty-four miles away to see a specialist and reconstructive surgeon. The extent of his injuries was severe. His nose, and two cheekbones were broken, his sinuses were torn away, his jaw and teeth had been realigned. His palate was shattered. The doctor at the second hospital also told Michael’s grandmother that he should have had his neck broken from an injury like his. Even though he needed massive surgery the hospital was full and the doctor sent him back home. His surgery was scheduled for eight in the morning. His grandmother Floye prayed over him all night and rebuked any fear, doubt, called for the angels to help her grandson. The next morning the hospital called and told her that the hospital was still full.

That day the temperature was 103 degrees. Michaels face was swelling, he couldn’t breathe, and his condition was getting worse. Family, friends, and her church were all praying over Michael. Michael’s father arrived at 4 in the morning the next day, and immediately took his son to the hospital. He had a five and half hour surgery to reconstruct his face. He was sent to ICU and the surgeon told Floye and Michael’s father that his recovery would take six weeks to three months in the hospital along with plastic surgery. Floye began praying in ICU, and she claimed her rights that Jesus could heal Michael. She prayed that time would be moved forward and that he would have a rapid recovery. One hour later his face was no longer flat and misshapen. The next day he was moved from ICU and he was discharge in three days. Two weeks later when he went back for his two week checkup, the skin on his face had formed new skin and there were no scars. Michael went back to school in the middle of August. In October he was playing basketball with the team. He has completely recovered from his injuries that should have killed him. Time was truly sped up for Michael.

There are many such as these that happen all around us. Keep believing, that Miracles happen, that healing happens, and that we are part of the bigger consciousness. Our lives do make an impact and we are deeply loved by a loving consciousness. We can be a catalyst for change, for the supernatural encounter, and for acts of miraculous intervention.
