on Manifesting Abundance at Manifesting with the Law of Attraction

What is it that brings about healing and attracts love, joy, peace and prosperity into our lives? As a journalist, writer and author, I’ve studied science and spirituality for decades and perhaps like you have formed a seamless belief system that makes sense of everything.

So I’m excited when I see proof of it, which comes over and over again and most recently in an e-mail message from a new friend of mine in Pittsburgh. He wrote to say that when we hugged, he felt the direct transfer of something from me into his chest. It didn’t carry any emotional impact, but a physical shift in his energies transpired and the next day rid him of a misconception that had caused him a great deal of anxiety.

Could I explain what had happened, he asked? Were these two events connected? What isn’t, I laughed in delight, replying with the lessons my inner voice of wisdom had just been teaching me!

Bearers of light

I spoke to David of liking him from the moment we met, as I’d sensed something very special in him. He was coordinating the Sunday service at his Unity church, and as he stood at the podium, speaking so gently of love, my heart opened and I became aware of the high spiritual energies in the room. I was there to speak and my travel fatigue instantly melted away.

During the “meet and greet” portion of the service, I hugged David gratefully for the love he had given me. So it was not I who healed him, but the Love in him that did the work. When we are open and ready for change, love responds and Light flows into and through us, bringing about the transformation we seek.

My seven-year-old grandson understands this perfectly. He delights in creating “pictures” to give away, and alongside many of his colorful airplanes and butterflies are the words, “Love is in the air.”

In this cosmic sea of spirit, composed of energetic waves of thought and feeling, love flows through every person and event. I bring to you some gift of wisdom, a loving thought or touch, and you say something that enlivens me, perhaps opens my heart to a new understanding of us both.

This is what the Hindu mystic-poet Kabir meant in saying, “Sometimes we are a wave, sometimes the ocean. We come here to bring each other to God.” When we are calm and peaceful, we float restfully in the ocean of the OneMind, immersed in its expanded perspectives and at-one with its rhythmic flow. When we are disconnected, we break into separate waves, but even then we call each other back to the One.

Waves in flow with the ocean

What separates us from the OneMind and its peace, joy and fulfillment? It is always stress, fatigue, fear and distrust, tensing us into waves of rigidity and resistance. Many of us fear being hurt and shrink away from life, closing our hearts to the healing Love in and all around us. At times we feel cold and alone, perhaps rejected, abandoned, unsure and confused. But in truth, Love has not abandoned us. We have become oblivious to its presence.

This separation is why we so often feel lost and unhappy. The closed heart, by virtue of its separation, cannot be enriched by All That Is. The law of magnetic resonance, governing the law of attraction, cannot bring riches to poverty, nor peace and happiness to a conflicted bodymind trapped in anger or judgment. When we are experiencing inner conflict and are out of integrity with our souls, we feel a gnawing hunger, a thirst for what is missing, and usually try to satisfy this craving with love relationships, euphoric chemicals, career achievement and/or material possessions. Our busyness almost distracts us from the cold internal knot of separation, but not quite.

The only way back to the ocean of the OneMind is to open our hearts to the light and unfold, petal by petal, into our blossoming.

Nature shows us what to do, especially in the springtime. Out of dark, quiet winter comes a season of warmth and renewal. Brightly colored plants and flowers draw us to the wondrous life force swirling into the curve of a leaf, colorful patches of wildflowers and the light mint greens of budding trees. Seeing the magic of spring, we remember how the Creative Force sweeps into every thing: in sheets of rain upon a rushing river; the pealing laughter in a child’s perfect cartwheel; the sparkling spiral star-dance of our magnificent Milky Way.

Because of this visible and invisible evidence of love, I trust and believe what my inner wisdom tells me: that all waves come to empty our darkness so that Light can flow into the bodymind, enabling us to gently unfold and flower into lives of beauty and joy. Our inner wisdom whispers that each and every wave helps us grow and is called, by our nature, into being.

When we listen to our souls very closely, we hear that this is our dearest wish and the work that we came here to do. The open heart knows this and does it willingly, with excitement and gratitude, understanding its soul’s purpose and the ultimate meaning of life.

The secrets of an open heart

All the same, life is sometimes like a banana peel. It seems that everything conspires to trip us up, throw us off-balance and slide us down some slippery slope, whereupon we close our tender hearts for our own protection. How to open the heart, then, when it closes suddenly or over time?

STEP 1.  The most immediate antidote is to breathe and relax inside the remembered assurance that every wave comes out the OneMind and so must be a wave of love calling us back to Love. Knowing this, we breathe deeply and evenly, becoming perfectly present to the flow of air into the nose and back out of the mouth.

Your can deepen this relaxed, peaceful state of consciousness by counting breaths or following the wind of your breath into your diaphragm and back out of your body. Research has shown that focusing on the breath relaxes us, and focusing on two things simultaneously, like counting and the movement of breath, produces a deeper state of consciousness akin to meditation.

Another heart-opening technique, especially useful during conflict, is to close your eyes and focus on the space between your ears. Try this now, to see for yourself how this diffuses thought and relaxes the body. It works just as well when we focus on the space between the eyes or any two objects. Just as in a guided meditation, the act of imagining space shifts our brainwaves into the alpha bandwidth of vibration. This relaxed peacefulness neutralizes the patterns of overexcited, hyper-aroused physical tension that create most if not all illness and disease, according to neurofeedback research.

STEP 2.  When we repeatedly experience this meditative state of mind, we extend it into everyday life and are better able to stay united with the OneMind. We are less upset by our own thoughts and by external events, so we live happier, healthier, more balanced lives.

Rooted in the transcendent perspectives of the OneMind, we consistently respond to life peacefully and the heart is better able to stay open. When conflict comes up, we breathe, relax and allow that wave of thought energy to wash into and through us, neither holding on to nor resisting it. This is called peaceful, nonviolent non-resistance. We “hold our seats,” as Buddhism teaches and remain peaceful.

It is easy to do this because we know who we are. We are souls observing our selves and what happens in this earth plane for the sake of learning. We are not trapped here, but choose to be here. In this sense of choice and freedom rests fearlessness, courage and the ability to stay peaceful.

By remaining open-hearted, we stay connected with our soul’s infinite wisdom and its creative solutions. We understand how to respond–what, if anything, to say–because our inner wisdom prompts us. In the silence we are able to listen to, hear, feel, sense and see the transcendent perspectives of our open, loving hearts.

Our intuition is an inner knowing of spiritual truth. It expands us beyond the ordinary thinking mind into the transcendent sixth-sense perspectives of inner knowing, feeling, sensing, hearing and seeing. Going deeper within our souls, we observe that any and all negative thoughts are erased from our minds and replaced by a clear sense of direction. At the same time, the Light heals physical discomfort, pain, stress and fatigue.

Serenity through Forgiveness and Unconditional Love

======================================

STEP 3.  Sometimes our hearts are opened by another person’s kindly word, smile or touch, as with my friend David. Sometimes the opening occurs during a walk in the woods, as nature delights us and points the way home.

But what if someone is yelling at or demeaning us in some way that causes pain?

We can ask that person to please calm down so that we may listen better to what he or she has to say. If the person does so and we wish to listen, but nevertheless begin to lose our peace, we can draw our full attention to the heart and center the busy mind in the heart.

The energy of the heart will relax our thinking. We can open to the heart’s love and ask for the OneMind to help us flow into Love, so that this light circulates into every atom and cell of our bodies. Be assured that it will. This heart-centering will help us listen better to the other person and return love. By the law of magnetic resonance, the other person will attune to our energies and grow more loving.

This has been proved in experiments conducted by The Mind-Life Institute in cooperation with the Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Tibet. A Buddhist monk and veteran, 30-year meditator was placed in a room with a professor outraged by the idea of reincarnation. The man berated the monk loudly and to no avail. The monk listened placidly and did not flinch once; in fact, he was hooked up to electrodes and there was no “startle” response whatsoever. Finally the professor grew just as calm and willing to conduct a reasonable conversation.

Try this for yourself. Be the peacemaker and see what happens.

STEP 4.  We can keep our hearts open by freeing ourselves from judgment. The verbal thinking mind loves to name everything and remember similar situations that it then relives and discusses with itself. The ego says, “Aha, I recognize who this person is, because So-and-So was that way, too. This person is devious and dangerous.” Even if the ego is right, this judgment narrows our perspectives and our ability to clearly perceive the full truth about the other person, who, like us, is much more than what was done.

A single, solitary judgment triggers a volley of thinking that closes the heart, blocks inner wisdom and separates us from ourselves, the other person and God! Moreover, constantly reliving the past keeps us from being fully present to the now-moment and serving as a creative, shining light to other people.

The antidote is not to let the thinking mind name, categorize, judge and persecute anyone–us included. We can move the naming, thinking mind into silence by teaching it that no matter what comes up within us or in external reality–an angry person, the loss of a job, illness, the death of a loved one–it is a wave of experience that brings healing and growth. It comes to rid us of what is no longer needed and to evoke in us anything that might be missing. In the world of Spirit, nothing is lost. All is accounted for.

STEP 5. We can be at-one with goodness by keeping our hearts open, rejoicing in the beauty of the world and seeking something to love in every person we meet, including the derelict on the street who teaches us that this is not who we want to be. Even if we feel repulsed, we can look at this person closely enough to find something in him or her to love. Some facial characteristic, some trait…because if love is in the air, it is also in each of us, even at our worst.

Do we have to judge or detest that derelict? My inner wisdom says no, because this person has just given me the gift of knowing myself. I am grateful for that gift and can reach out to return love without needing or expecting appreciation.

In my experience, we come here to open our hearts and love ourselves, others and God. If we feel cold and aloof or separate and apart much of the time, there is a very good chance that our lives are cloudy and gray.

Do you have all of the love, money, happiness and peace that you want in your life? If not, check to see if your heart is open and joyfully aware of the abundance in each and every precious thing in you and your life.

If your heart is closed, you can open it easily with these mind-expansion techniques which enable us to become present to the present. In opening to Love, you will be enlivened by its joy and peace, so that everything you need and so richly deserve will come to you. All else will be pruned away, healed, to make room for fresh growth.

This is the simple and magical secret of life: You have within you all the Love needed to create and attract the life you want. Love calls you to shine your light, for love and love alone will heal our world.

If we stay peaceful, we can catch the waves of love upswelling in our hearts and ride them with perfect balance into our everyday choices and actions for economic parity, social justice and environmental responsibility.

To create a perfect planet of peace and love, all we have to do is remember that love is in the air. We can bring its Light into being with the thought of it, the need of it, the hope of Love that is it. In this wave is the spiritual awakening of our world.

What Star Will You Follow This Year?

December 27th, 2008 Edward Mills Posted in God, Inner Guidance, Personal Growth, buddha, christmas, darkness, jesus, light, master, new year, solstice, source No Comments »

Did you know that the soap opera The Guiding Light is listed in the Guinness Book of World’s Records as the longest running scripted drama in TV AND Radio history? Beginning as a radio show in 1937, it transitioned to Television in 1952 and will continue at least through September 2009 which will put it into its 72nd year! Now that’s pretty amazing. Useless perhaps, but amazing nonetheless.

Light has always been both a metaphoric and an actual guide. We often seek the “light at the end of the tunnel.” For millennia, sailors have used the stars to guide them to faraway places and back home again. The North Star has led many lost hikers home.

And no matter how far we travel from our physical home, we are all travelers on a journey of discovery through this life. And just as travelers on the road or over the seas require guidance, we need guidance for our travels through life. We need a light to show us the way.

It is easy to take the light for granted when it is all around us. During the day, in the heat of the summer, when light surrounds us, we often dismiss beauty and power of the sun. In fact, I often hear people cursing the sun and its heat.

But when the dark comes, when night falls, and when the cold darkness of winter descends upon our world, we seek the light, we crave the warmth of the sun and we yearn for the guidance that the light offers.

We have just moved through the deepest darkness, the longest night. This is such a rich, fertile time: A time of healing and integration, a time of introspection and gestation, a time to restore and renew our bodies, minds and spirits.

At this time of year we celebrate the light - even as we honor the power of the darkness. Throughout human history, many cultures have celebrated the coming of the light of bringing light into this deep darkness. Chanukah is the festival of light. The Winter Solstice celebrates the returning of the light. Persian, Native American, Celtic, Germanic, Japanese, Chinese, and many other cultures have festivals and celebrations recognizing the return of the sun.

And on Thursday we celebrated the birth of a great master and the awakening of a brilliant light in the world.

Whatever you believe about Jesus and whatever faith you follow, his life, like those of all the great masters, is filled with many lessons for all of us. His life provides us with an example of what is possible. He is a light in our sky, a light that can guide us home.

And just as there are many stars in the night sky to guide sailors home, there are many masters in our past, many lights in the “sky” of our human history: Buddha, Krishna, Muhammad, St Francis, Gandhi, Black Elk, Mother Theresa, the Dalai Lama and many more who have lived and some who live now upon this planet… and they all can help us find our way home. They can guide us back to our Source.

Because, no matter what philosophy these masters taught, no matter where they lived, no matter how altered their teachings have become over the course of the years, each of them had this in common: They lived in alignment with the light of guidance.

We are all connected to that guidance, that light. But most of us ignore it, deny it, block it, resist it, and push it away. The masters of this world have all embraced that light. They have surrendered to that light. And, ultimately, they have embraced that light, becoming one with it. And in that state of surrender and oneness, they no longer needed to look to the skies for guidance. They no longer needed to look outside of themselves for answers or directions. They became the light. They were the guidance.

And what they did, you can do also. They were special, yes. They were gifted. Yes. They were blessed. Yes.

But so are you!

And what they achieved, you can too!

We all can learn from their examples. We can grow and become better by following them. Not blindly, or without thought. But with intention: The intention to become better, to become more fully awakened to our beauty and to our greatness!

As we walk in their footsteps and follow their light, our light shines more brightly in the world. And as our light shines, we become a beacon for others!

We all need guidance. We all need support in our journey of growth and evolution. And when we actively seek that guidance, we automatically offer that guidance to others.

How were the Wise Men led to Jesus? How did they know that a great master was born?

It was a light in the sky. They followed that light. But why were there only three of them? Why did not more people see that light and follow it? Was it an actual light in the sky? Or was that a metaphor for an inner light, an inner knowing that led these three wise men to the place of his birth?

We’ll never know. And it really doesn’t matter. But what is important is to recognize that we all can see that light. Just as those wise men saw the light, just as the great masters have embraced and ultimately become that light, you have that same light guiding you.

We are all connected to that guidance but sometimes we forget that connection. Sometimes we see that light but deny it. Sometimes we hear that guidance but attempt to outsmart it thinking that we know a better way, a faster way, a more efficient way.

We don’t!

I know I don’t! And believe me I have tried to outsmart that guidance many times! It has never worked.

Now, as we sit in this time of darkness but feel the movement into the light, we have the opportunity to say yes to that guidance.

A New Year is coming. The days are growing longer. And so, our attention returns to the outer world and to our place in the world.

This is a good time to decide what light you will follow in 2009.

What light will guide you on your journey into this New Year?

Will you be guided by the light of Love? Or will it be fear?

Will you surrender to the light of Source? Or will it be “I can do it on my own?”

Will you be led by the light of God? Or will it be good enough?

You have the choice.

I have made mine. I choose Love, Source, God as my light and my guidance in 2009.

Will you join me?

Bible Scriptures Mirror Prosperity

September 15th, 2008 Janie Baer Posted in God, Meditation, Spirituality, abundance, bible scripture, bible scriptures, financial prosperity, mind, prosperity No Comments »

I want to start off with this Bible scripture: James 1:22-25 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. KJV

This Bible scripture shows us that bible scriptures are mirrors we need to be looking into every day and then we will see ourselves in this new life in Christ Jesus. We look differently in these Bible scripture mirrors then sometimes circumstances in our lives; because they reflect a whole new realm, the Kingdom of God, we are living in or should live in and out of as Christians.

Bible scripture prosperity manifests in our lives as we continue to look, not forgetting what Bible scriptures show us. That continual observing of the reflection of Bible scriptures will bring the revelation to our minds and then comes manifestation for all others to see. That is the power of the Word of God. First we have revelation and then we have manifestation. That is why the importance of meditation of Bible scriptures day and night as Joshua 1:8 tells us.

Josh 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success. AMP

So let’s get started on looking into some Bible scriptures that will show us in the prosperity of God.

3 John 2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. KJV

Did you notice Father God wished above “all things” that we prosper first of all? This is speaking of financial prosperity. Father still wishes that you prospered above all things today.

2 Cor 8:9 For you are becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearly the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favor and spiritual blessing), [in] that though He was [so very] rich, yet for your sakes He became [so very] poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied). AMP

This scripture is all about financial matters and not spiritual matters. Looking into this Bible scripture, we see Jesus became so very poor coming to this earth from a lavish Heaven so that we could financially become enriched abundantly supplied. So keep looking into this mirror and see yourself becoming enriched abundantly supplied then at the time when Jesus left Heaven for your prosperity.

2 Cor 9:6-11 [Remember] this: he who sows sparingly and grudgingly will also reap sparingly and grudgingly, and he who sows generously [that blessings may come to someone] will also reap generously and with blessings. 7 Let each one [give] as he has made up his own mind and purposed in his heart, not reluctantly or sorrowfully or under compulsion, for God loves (He takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without) a cheerful (joyous, “prompt to do it”) giver [whose heart is in his giving]. 8 And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].

9 As it is written, He [the benevolent person] scatters abroad; He gives to the poor; His deeds of justice and goodness and kindness and benevolence will go on and endure forever! 10 And [God] Who provides seed for the sower and bread for eating will also provide and multiply your [resources for] sowing and increase the fruits of your righteousness [which manifests itself in active goodness, kindness, and charity]. 11 Thus you will be enriched in all things and in every way, so that you can be generous, and [your generosity as it is] administered by us will bring forth thanksgiving to God. AMP

This is how the Kingdom of God operates, seed time and harvest. This allows the abundance of God’s grace to cause us to experience every favor and earthly blessing, possess enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance to continue to be a giver. Do you see yourself in the mirror of this Bible scripture? If not, then keep looking.

Gal 3:13-14,29 Christ purchased our freedom [redeeming us] from the curse (doom) of the Law [and its condemnation] by [Himself] becoming a curse for us, for it is written [in the Scriptures], Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified); 14 To the end that through [their receiving] Christ Jesus, the blessing [promised] to Abraham might come upon the Gentiles, so that we through faith might [all] receive [the realization of] the promise of the [Holy] Spirit. 29 And if you belong to Christ [are in Him Who is Abraham's Seed], then you are Abraham’s offspring and [spiritual] heirs according to promise. AMP

July 4th of every year the United States of America celebrates its independence from her mother nation. As Christians, we need to continue to look into this mirror of Galatians 3:13 and others that reflect back to us our independence from the law and from the curse of the law because of Jesus fulfilling that law of Moses and taking the curse of the law for our independence.

It might be good for you to go back and look at Deuteronomy 28 where the blessing that came by keeping the law and the curse coming from not doing the law are listed. Don’t pay any attention to the curse other than to give thanks to Jesus for fulfilling all of this Law of Moses so that you could experience through Him the blessings. Then your time, meditating on the blessing and see a reflection of yourself walking and living in the blessing. It will come upon you and over take you is the promise. I like to be overtaken by the blessing, don’t you?

Now that we are in Christ Jesus, Bible scriptures will reflect back to us being in the blessing of Abraham. We have the spiritual blessing of Jesus Christ and we have the financial blessing of Abraham.

This last Bible scripture mirrors us in prosperity provided for by Heaven’s blessings.

Eph 1:3 May blessing (praise, laudation, and eulogy) be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) Who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual (given by the Holy Spirit) blessing in the heavenly realm! AMP

We must not be waiting on our financial prosperity any more. Every spiritual blessing contains your material blessing. All material things came out of spiritual substance. The spiritual blessing of your new birth was waiting on you just to receive it. Your financial blessing is waiting on you to see yourself in it and take it.

Let’s make this confession looking into the mirror of these Bible scriptures of prosperity:

I see from these Bible scriptures, I am blessed because I have the blessing of God and the blessing of Abraham, my Father of faith. I have received the spiritual blessings by Jesus and I have received financial blessings by Abraham. I will continue to look into these Bible scriptures, my mirror, reflecting back to me who I am in Christ Jesus, and I will not forget what I see. As a result of this I will be blessed in all I do.

My Father God wishes above every thing else in the earth that I prosper in my finances. My mind is prospering as I continue to look into the mirror of Bible prosperity scriptures. I therefore identify with Jesus’ sacrifice, leaving lavish Heaven and becoming so very poor so that I now am abundantly supplied in my finances. This is just part of my salvation that Jesus provided for me.

I will continue to remember the operation of the Kingdom of God’s financial increase comes by my generous giving. I do not give out of law but my giving will be as a result of a heart’s desire, being prompt, joyous and cheerful. Then I am expecting the results of the Kingdom of God’s guarantee of my Father’s grace and favor bringing earthly blessings to me in abundance. Then in all circumstances, I am assured I will be prospering so that I do not have to get any kind of aid or support, no kind of debt; but I am giving continually out of my abundance to every good work and needs of others. Then Father God provides more seed for me to sow and I get greater harvests. In the process Father provides my every need, and I continue to be generous and this brings thanksgiving to my Father.

Christ Jesus has purchased my freedom from the curse of the Law of Moses by fulfilling the law for me. In this liberty I am experiencing the blessing of Abraham. I also receive the manifestation of financial blessings that come from every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm through Christ Jesus.

These Bible scriptures bring liberty to me in my finances so I continue looking into them, seeing and experiencing the reality of them in my life.

The Serenity Prayer: Prayer for Empowerment Version

July 16th, 2008 Joann Posted in God, Spirituality, abundance, happiness, love, prosperity, serenity prayer No Comments »

The Serenity Prayer is one of my favorite prayers. I mistakenly thought this prayer is the St. Augustine’s Prayer. According to wikipedia it is commonly attributed to Reinhold Neibuhr, a theologian.

In this post, I have expanded The Serenity Prayer to make it a prayer for personal empowerment. There is nothing radical with my version, but some religion may not agree with it.

God grant me

The serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

The courage to change the things I can,

And the wisdom to know the difference.

God grant me

The sense to realize that with all your goodness and love for me, you cannot have planned for me to live in poverty and scarcity.

The sight to see that abundance is my nature and I am meant to live a life showered with love, prosperity and happiness.

The ability to speak so I can only say words of hope, love, joy, goodness and to affirm the abundance in my life.

The memory to always remember my dreams and aspirations amids the failures and frustrations.

Love so I can love myself and others.

Finally Lord, grant me

Forgiveness that I have not lived my life according to Your expectations despite bestowing me with the power to change a mediocre life.

Though I have the sense, it is easier for me to think that my mediocre life is Your will for me. And there is nothing I can do about it.

Though I have the sight, I have deliberately limited it to the reality of my situation.

Though I can speak, complaints are what come out of my mouth most of the time.

Though I have the memory of them, it is already dimming because I have chosen to believe that I cannot succeed instead of persisting.

Though You have already showered me with love unconditionally, I still cannot accept that I am worth loving.

Amen.

The first four lines of the prayer is The Serenity Prayer in the first person.

The Prosperity Prayer

May 10th, 2008 Other Authors Posted in God, Manifesting Abundance, abundance, gratitude, material wealth, money, negative thoughts, prayer, prosperity, purpose in life No Comments »

A few years ago I wrote a prayer that’s been circulating through the Internet for five plus years. I called it “The Prosperity Prayer,” and I’ve received countless notes and letters from all over the globe about its effectiveness. One thing everyone likes is the instant payoff — when you read it to yourself, you’ll feel better right away!

The Prosperity Prayer

Dear God -

I surrender my financial affairs and concerns about money to your Divine care and love.

I ask that you remove my worries, anxieties and fears about money, and replace them with faith.

I know and trust that my debts will be paid and money will flow into my life.

I have only to look to nature to see proof of the abundance you provide.

I release all negative thoughts about money, and know that prosperity is my true state.

I commit to being grateful for all that I now have in my life.

I learn to manage my finances wisely, seeking help where needed.

And finally, I ask you to help me to understand my purpose in life and to act on that purpose with courage and strength. I know that prosperity will come, in part, by doing work I love. Please help me use my skills and knowledge to be of service in the world. Thank you God. Amen

There is a great deal of research that indicates if you want to create a new paradigm in your life, repeat that “new thing” every day for thirty days. My suggestion for working with the Prosperity Prayer is that you say it at least once a day for a month. Say it quietly to yourself or out loud. Write it down on a slip of paper so you can read it when you begin to feel old worries about money arise.

Following is a more detailed explanation about the philosophy behind the prayer.

Dear God -

I believe that God is part of us, flows through us and animates the world surrounding us. We are programmed to receive God’s wisdom. Do you have to believe in God for this to work? Not really. Simply know that your words are heard and expect an answer.

I surrender my financial affairs and concerns about money to your Divine care and love.

Surrender is a difficult concept for many of us to grasp. At first, it sounds as if I might be suggesting you simply “give up” in defeat or to “let go” and pretend that your financial concerns do not matter. Neither is true. The Wisdom that controls the universe has created the human body and all its miraculous intricacies. This same wisdom knows how to bring prosperity into your life.

I ask that you remove my worries, anxieties and fears about money and replace them with faith.

Many of us labor under the illusion that if we worry enough about money, we’ll ward off debt. Nothing could be further from the truth. Worry, anxiety and fear create more worry, anxiety and fear. They don’t create more money. I’d like to suggest you go on a 30-day worry-free diet. Become aware when you have fear-based and anxious thoughts. Remember the prayer and stop the worry.

I know and trust that my debts will be paid and money will flow into my life.

Here’s a secret I’ve discovered in working with thousands of clients over twenty-plus years: there is tremendous power in images held in the mind. Those images (and the emotions they produce) begin to create the reality my clients experience in their lives. When you think about money, what pictures pop into your mind? Maxed out credit cards? Bag ladies? Overdue mortgage notices?

If any of the above sounds familiar, I’d like you to resolve to change these pictures in your mind. I’m asking you to accept much of this prayer philosophy on faith, but trust me when I tell you that those visualizations have a negative effect on your financial and emotional health.

I have only to look to nature to see proof of the abundance you provide.

Abundance is our natural state. We disallow this state through our fear and worry. We cut ourselves off from its flow.

When you begin to worry that there isn’t enough to go around or that God only doles out a limited supply of material to a deserving few, look around you. Take a deep breath and let in all of the abundance. Breathe the air (no limitations on that, right?). Look at your immediate environment. What do you see? Depending on the season and where you live, you’ll see leaves on the trees, snow on the ground, sand on the beach, grass on the lawns. Do you think God planned this amazing world and forgot to include the means for you to accomplish your purpose in life and to live your dreams?

I release all negative thoughts about money, and know that prosperity is my true state.

Your inner thoughts — what you say to yourself — make a big difference in your ability or inability to attract material wealth. When you consistently focus on negative thoughts you can count on attracting negativity into your life.

I commit to being grateful for all that I now have in my life.

There are two quotes that I absolutely love that relate to the issue of gratitude. The first is from Meister Eckhart, “If the only prayer you say in your life is ‘Thank you,’ that would suffice.” The second quote is from the famous writer, Anonymous, who said, “If you want to feel rich, just count all of the things you have that money can’t buy.”

I learn to manage my finances wisely, seeking help where needed. It’s been said that “God helps those who help themselves.” This is especially true in the area of finances. In my work with clients, I’ve seen a clear correlation between how well they manage their money and their ability to attract more. If this is difficult for you, ask for help.

Please help me use my skills to be of service in the world. You have a purpose in life. It is the thing about which you are excited, the thing you’d love to do if only you had a few million dollars and didn’t have to worry about money. When you are enthusiastic about something in your life, God is giving you a clue about the path to follow. The root of the word “enthusiasm” is from the Greek, “entheos.” It literally means, “God within.”

Thank you, God.

I know you are there to help me and I am grateful. Amen

The Universe & You

May 2nd, 2008 Joann Posted in God, Manifesting, cosmic consciousness, ego, energy flow, flowing, freedom, love, nature of the universe, power source, soul No Comments »

The universe I am referring to here is the entire cosmos — the entire cosmic consciousness. The vast realm of interconnected powerfully pulsating energy of everything that is good, bountiful, & beautiful. You may call it God or the universal love. I believe in the pureness & the power of love. I believe that this energy embodies everything that is good & beautiful.

As you are one with this consciousness of good, bountiful & beautiful, so is your life. You have everything that is good, your life is bountiful & you have everything that is beautiful. In short, you are loved & you are love.

This interconnected consciousness is a source of power that never runs out. It is everlasting & it is consistent. It does not discriminate, it just IS. Just learn to accept & embrace your connection to the power source. Acknowledge that you are loved day in & day out 24×7x365 1/4 days!

It is also the nature of the universe to FLOW. In case you haven’t noticed we are always moving forward. A day turns into night, the sun rises, & sets and it’s a brand new day. Since we are one with it, our nature too is to flow — improvement, progress, moving forward & being free. It is against our very nature to be stuck in the past or be unable to live the life we are meant to live. We hinder our own progress by willingly constricting the flow of energy in our lives. If we choose not to move forward, the energy that accumulates in us is that of the past which maybe hurtful or negative.

The book Manifesting Your Heart’s Desire cited a story about a girl who was watering the garden with a hose. The flow of the water suddenly stopped so she complained to her father. The father said, “Don’t step on the hose.” So is our energy flow. We are deliberately stepping on our energy line if we continually live with the EGO rather than our SOUL.

Ways To Release Self-Worth Issues And Magnetize Abundance

April 14th, 2008 Other Authors Posted in Affirmations, Craig Howell, God, Louise Hay, Manifestation, Manifesting, Manifesting Abundance, abundance, divine creation, feelings, kwan yin, low self esteem, mantras, metaphysical teachings, self worth, visualization No Comments »

When most people think of manifesting certain things in to their lives they talk about visualization of the goal, being determined, and working hard toward that end — but that is just one aspect. We who are involved in metaphysical teachings may or may not know that there is one more key to unlocking manifestation — self-worth. This is powerful, because it not only has a lot to do with what we feel we deserve to have, it has to do with whether we feel we deserve to be here in the first place.

From the teachings that I have been taught from Ascended Master Kwan Yin as channeled through my friend Marjorie, I have discovered that self worth plays a big role in our lives on earth. According to her, in the USA alone about 93% of the people here are dealing with issues of self-worth. That’s a lot.

Kwan Yin said that if we know that we are a part of and in co-creation with God, we can not have low self-esteem. She always says to us, “You are loveable, worthy and acceptable just as you are.” But as human beings, there are this and many lifetimes of effects to wade through, and sometimes we don’t feel so acceptable. Now we can recognize low self-esteem for the old energy pattern that it is and shift it. It is time.

Many times we have no idea that this is happening to us. We don’t feel like we are down on ourselves in anyway consciously. We don’t feel badly about ourselves. Yet the reflection of our feelings tell a different story as it outpictures in our lives — and there is the truth right in front of us. We will know our mind and our feelings by what we have created with them, which is everything in our life up to this moment.

I found that for myself, this issue of self-worth was causing a barrier between what I desired in my life and what I was getting, and I wanted to mend that. For me this has been going on for a long time over many lifetimes. So I have determined that it will stop at this life.

Over time I have heard some great mantras or affirmations that feel good to me to say. These may help you to re gain your connection to your soul and to the power of God in you. One is “I am a Divine creation of God and I am of great worth.” For those of you like me who still are sensitive about wanting to be humble, I also add… “as are all other souls on earth.” This helps instill within me the feeling that not just I, but all souls are of great worth, of great value. The idea is that we are a part of the God Energy, and as such are all of great value, even those who have chosen to temporarily be a part of the darker or negative energy patterns on earth.

Another thing you can do is something I got from Louise Hay’s work when I was recovering from cancer. This is very simple but effective. Look closely into a mirror when you are alone. Look deeply into your eyes and say with feeling, “I love you.” This may sound silly at first and you may feel awkward, but just relax into it. Try to really get into the feeling of it as if you were talking to someone you really care about. You will be surprised at the depth of reaction.

Another thing you might try is: “I have a place in this world. I can take as much energy as I need.” I have included this into my own meditations because I had found that there are deep issues involving my unconscious feelings that I must only take as little as possible space in the world. Part of this is involved with self-worth, so I include it, but everyone will have some kind of other issues stemming from problems with self-worth, from finances to relationships to health.

Another way to release the self from unwanted blockages easily is to do it while you sleep. Kwan Yin says that just before you go to bed, close your eyes and ask the Masters to help you release any blockages involving self-worth during the night while you are resting. You may feel very differently the next day. Then again, you may feel just a sense of ease or peace that you have not experienced recently. Know that it is working.

Remember that we are the authors and architects of our lives, and that what we feel in the moment will determine the next sequence of events for us in the future. Know that you are connected to the Source and that you carry this energy with you always. Now is the time to realize your greatness. Now is the time for you to shine your God-given light and see it reflect back to you all good things that your heart desires.

Thoughts to Make You Feel Good

April 12th, 2008 Other Authors Posted in Ann Stewart, God, Healing & Forgiveness, Life, Mind & Its Power, Positive Thinking, Spirituality, happiness, mind, negative attitudes, negative thoughts, psalm 103, unforgiveness No Comments »

Are you bombarded with negative thoughts, feelings of inadequacy, and maybe even shame about the past? How do you feel?

Stop! Just for a moment stop and catch yourself thinking. Yes, catch your thoughts, as it were. Do you hear negative chatter about what you perceive others are thinking about you? Is it a one-way conversation, or are you in agreement? Are the not-so-good perceptions interspersed with feel-good kind of thoughts about yourself?

It’s good and very therapeutic to take yourself to task like this every once in a while. How your own thoughts influence you has an awful lot to do with your physical, emotional and even spiritual well-being!

Maybe you’re the tragic victim of a troubled childhood, constantly or often rehearsing all the hurt you went through. The constant replay in your mind may have led you to believe that bad things happened because you must have been bad as a child. Consequently, having heard those messages over and over again, by now you may be convinced that you do not deserve happiness.

But, God does not see you as you may perceive others are seeing you and how you see yourself! As the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed your hurt from you. Like a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear [show reverential awe towards]Him! In fact, He will even extend His righteousness unto your children’s children! (Psalm 103: 11-13; 17)

So you’re asking, what does all this have to do with health and nutrition? So much more than you may think! Your total well-being and physical health are all bound up together: mind, spirit and body.

You may be doing all the fitness exercises and taking all the vitamins in the world. However, if you allow past hurts, unforgiveness and offenses to control your life, you will continue to be bent over with the emotional baggage. Even though you may be smiling and gorgeous on the outside, the emotional strain will eventually take a toll on your physical health!

Take courage, my friend! All is not lost; there is hope! Negative thoughts will try to enforce a negative opinion of yourself and/or giving you perceived ‘permission’ to be negative and downhearted. However, those thoughts, or negative attitudes, can be broken! Once you recognize the kind of internal conversation you are regularly having with yourself, you can tell that ‘accuser’ to lay off! You now have uncovered the culprit and can make a decision not to associate with it any longer.

Choose to hang out with positive people and learn to find the good in both yourself and others. It may take a bit of practice and getting used to, especially if you’ve been in a rut for a long time.

God is not wrong when He says He loves you unconditionally! Allow Him to tell you how well you are loved. His Love will flow through you to others, and you will start feeling good all over.

Affirmation of Undamaged Spirituality

April 7th, 2008 Cheryl Petersen Posted in Cheryl Petersen, God, Healing, Meditation, Mind & Its Power, Spirituality, affirmation, experience, intuition No Comments »

It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon in October. I was cleaning the horse stables with a front-end loader. This large piece of farm equipment was familiar to me, having operated it for years on the farm. So, it was rather surprising when the engine blew up in flames, completely filling the cab with fire. Intuition caused me to reach for the only small opening out. I climbed up and out of the opening, jumped over the moving wheels, and crashed onto the gravel road, face first.

What do I remember when the flames engulfed me?

Asking what was going on. Feeling a mental affirmation that everything would be okay. Quietness. And, taking the stance that God is my life.

I was taken to the emergency room. The emergency room doctor reviewed my X-rays and came to tell me, “Your liver is bleeding, which generally is fatal. I need to find a surgeon to operate on you.”

While the surgeon was being located, I mentally reaffirmed that my life is connected to the undamaged Spirit, the source of spirituality.

The laws behind spirituality have proven to be a vital force in my human experience. And, that October afternoon, spirituality guided my consciousness to focus on the qualities of appreciation and honesty. This precluded me from thinking based on fear and dread.

The surgeon came to my room and introduced himself; he examined the monitors, reading my vital signs. With happy amazement he told me, “Your liver is stabilizing.” This actually allowed more time for them to get the operating room ready and also allowed me more time to digest the food in my stomach so it would be empty for the operation.

The operation that was never necessary!

Spirituality was already painlessly operating in my thought. Spiritual ideas from a book I regularly study, “Science and Health,” by Mary Baker Eddy, were being verified as legitimate. A few main ideas are that Spirit is all-in-All, our infinite source of being, and people are spiritual beings. Our spirituality can be, and is, discovered to be supreme, positively influencing human mortals to heal and experience the truth of undamaged Spirit, God.

Physically, I was unable to do anything on my own. A catheter was put in. I had fractures, a useless arm, a badly injured eye that was swollen shut, and I had second degree burns on half of my face (the side I landed on the gravel road with). However, metaphysically, I was active. I was honest with the surgeon. He realized that meditation was a significant factor in my life. Yet, from a practical standpoint, if fear ever blocked me from praying and my body began reverting into danger, we would reconsider our actions.

I sincerely appreciated the nurses who carefully and compassionately removed the gravel from the burned side of my face. The nurses cleaned my face in intervals, instinctively supporting the fact that mind and body work in unity. The nurses never pushed my mind into the realm of painful irritated thinking and my body healed quickly. The body could not help but conform to mind; to their compassion and my appreciative thought.

Pain relievers were unnecessary the entire time, throughout all the care, cleaning, and healing. After the second day, I was taken out of the ICU and put in a room of my own.

My husband took me home on the third day. Within three weeks I was taking care of my family, working, and even took a snowmobile out for a ride on the weekend. There is no scarring from the burns.

During this particular healing, it became solidly evident to me to revise “Science and Health,” first published in the year 1875. This book contains timeless, universal principles that are available to everyone throughout time. Therefore, the next ten years were filled with research, meditation, work, and spiritual growth. The result of this interesting work is “21st Century Science and Health.”

The energy of our tremendous cosmos mimics the energy of spirituality, advancing and expanding human beings into the possibility of non-intrusive healing. Affirmation of the ideas found in “21st Century Science and Health” are useful. We recognize, and can substantiate, more humaneness, more enlightenment, and our undeniable, undamaged spiritual nature.
