Clarity of Purpose and How to Develop It

April 3rd, 2009 Remez Sasson Posted in Goal Setting, clarity, goals, purpose, success No Comments »

Clarity of purpose is important for the achievement of success and for making dreams come true. Your dream or goal must be specific and clear and not not something vague. While it’s fun to dream about being rich and successful, you have to know and define what you really and truly want to get or achieve. Clarity of purpose is important for any success, for losing weight, getting a new car or travelling abroad. If you don’t know exactly what you want, how can you get it?

When there is clarity of purpose you know what steps to take. With clarity of purpose you focus on the goal, without wasting time or energy. Clarity of purpose is like focusing a strong source of light on your goal, so that you see it clearly.

Developing clarity of purpose

Here are a few tips to help developing clarity of purpose.

  1. Know what you want.
  2. Investigate why you want to achieve your goal, and what you will gain by achieving it.
  3. Be certain that you really want to achieve your goal.
  4. Read and learn about your goal.
  5. See pictures about your goal.
  6. Visualize your goal clearly.
  7. In your mind, see all the details.
  8. Be specific as to color, size, quantity, shape, place, etc, of what you want to get or accomplish.
  9. Learn to focus your mind on your goal.
  10. Remove clutter from your life.
  11. Display perseverance and some self discipline in your life.

Sales Goals in a Tough Economy

March 21st, 2009 Remez Sasson Posted in Goal Setting, economy, goals, sales No Comments »

Making your sales goals in a good year is one thing, but attaining them in a difficult year is an entirely different challenge. Putting aside the common clich? that when times are tough, great salespeople are made, the reality is that making your goals puts more money in your pocket. Therefore, I keep reminding salespeople to think of how many times in the past they’ve watched a customer materialize out of nowhere only to become a major player in helping reach their year-end objectives. If you’ve been in sales for any length of time, you’ve had this happen. I am not advocating that you kick back and relax while you wait for the big customer to appear. I understand that it takes work to make your goal, but, at the same time, don’t lose sight that occasionally nice breaks do occur. The good news is that you can be successful if you’re willing to take the time to work through the following steps, despite the current state of the economy.

The first step to help you make your sales goals in a tough economy is to break down your goal into weekly objectives. Keep in mind, however, that these should not be based on closing “x” number of sales, but instead on accomplishing “x” number of activities that you’ve found are critical to your success. When your goals are strictly measured in terms of sales dollars or units, you can easily become dejected by numbers you’re not happy with. Activities to monitor may include making prospecting phone calls, conducting customer presentations, or having follow-up meetings. This breakdown strategy is similar to the way coaches successfully motivate their teams. By dissecting the game into a series of activities that the coach knows the team can accomplish, they will be in a better position to win the game.

Getting to Know Your Higher Self -Why Does That Matter in Life?

February 19th, 2009 Guest Author Posted in Life, Robert Paisola, consciousness, ego, goals, happy list, higher self, motivational, passion, professional life, success No Comments »

What is it that makes us human? Speech, consciousness, opposable thumbs? Yes, all that. But what also makes us human is the belief in a Higher Self. The Higher Self inhabits a spiritual dimension beyond the material plane.

This Higher Self’s quest is not necessarily antithetical to the quest for success in the material world. Some of the most successful people share an elevated consciousness. Whether this is the reason for or the consequence of their success depends on the person.

Being in touch with our higher selves gives us the ability to commune with the sublime. Do not be a stranger to your Higher Self. Give your Higher Self a name and seek out his/her advice. Don’t let your ego block this powerful technique for accessing inspired visions. Give your Higher Self a chance to speak, and you may get the answers to your most perplexing problems.

Somewhere inside yourself is the true you—the part that represents what you want most, the part that is your inner hero.

Try this exercise: write your own version of “How to Be Happy.” List the things that you have learned in your personal and professional life. What you will come up with is a list of values and goals.

After the writing exercise, take some time to visualize your Higher Self. Imagine stepping outside of your physical body and taking a look at the real you. See your Higher Self.

The Higher Self can speak to you through your physical body. You’re upset, and you feel nauseous. You are tired, so you want to sleep. If your heart beats in fear or your knees shake, or you have recurrent dreams or nightmares, the self may be trying to talk to you! The self may be telling you that the emotional air you are breathing is toxic. It’s time to take action!

The Higher Self whispers while the ego SHOUTS. The more busy-work, chatter, or other meaningless distractions interfere with your ability to hear the internal message, the harder it will be to make the choices that lead to a oneness with your Higher Self.

Everyone Has Goals

November 1st, 2008 Remez Sasson Posted in Goal Setting, goals No Comments »

All of us have goals, even if we don’t consider them as goals. A goal need not be something big and spectacular. Not everyone wants to become a millionaire, own a company, become a businessman, a politician or a famous actor or singer. Most people want just a happy and comfortable life, and their goals are therefore ordinary and simple ones.

Most people want to find a good job, keep their current job, and be promoted in their current job. There are people whose goal is to go to college and graduate. Others wish to travel abroad or take a vacation. Some desire to find love, and others want to be healthy. Building a muscular body, learning to swim, learning to speak a foreign language, or just the desire look and dress good are also goals.

Even the desire to have enough money to shop, to have fun or make life more comfortable and enjoyable are goals.

Most of these goals are achievable and within reach, and can fill most of our time. When fulfilled, we either try to repeat them again and again, or move to other similar sized goals.

You see, even if you think that you don’t have any goals, you actually have them and work toward achieving them.

How can you increase your chances of success? Planning ahead, using affirmations and visualization, and being focused, open-minded, patient, self disciplined, motivated, ambitious and positive increase your chances of success.

Every success starts as a thought in the mind, but in most cases thoughts about success remain as thoughts - as daydreams. Most people do nothing to achieve their dreams, except daydream about success, and then dismiss these thoughts as unrealistic. Manifesting Your Heart’s Desires

February 15th, 2008 Other Authors Posted in Law of Attraction, Manifesting, create, desires, goals, manifest No Comments »

We are each manifesting all the time. Everything we have in our lives was created by us. The question is how have we been creating? Has it been from a place of conscious intention or out of reaction? From a state of ease and trust or resistance and fear? Have we been creating for ourselves or letting others create for us?

The more we are aware of what we want and what it will do for us, the more likely we are to manifest this into our life. Envisioning our goals and dreams ignites our enthusiasm and creates a mock up for what we want. Once the momentum has started it is important to let go and let the process unfold. If we focus on every single detail or try to control every step, we limit ourselves to other possibilities; ones much bigger and better than we ever could imagine. Of course this takes trust, and for those of us born without a trust gene we need to develop one if we want to manifest easily.

As we move toward our goals, taking action with anything other than ease is bound to slow down the process and cause frustration. Ease is a state of being. It is relaxed, productive movement, opposite to effort, struggle and resistance. When our body tenses up and we find ourselves “trying to make” things happen, that is a strong clue that we have moved out of ease. Simply breathing, relaxing and connecting to our inner trust can bring us back to a centered place where things happen effortlessly.

Explore these questions to gain insights into your manifesting power:

• Reflect over your adult life and notice all of your manifestations. The relationships, jobs, health, finances and so on. Do you see any patterns in terms of how you created or attracted these into your life?

• For all of the wonderful things you’ve had in your life, what were the key elements to creating this for yourself (i.e. did you consciously want this, were you in a state of trust or surrender etc.)

• For anything not so wonderful in your life, what were the key elements operating for you at these times (i.e. were you in resistance, fear, giving up your power or perhaps these were stepping stones to greater things or opportunities for growth and learning).

Try these inspiring ideas to manifest your heart’s desires:

• Play with creating and manifesting consciously by becoming aware of what you really want in your life. What would make your heart sing, your passion flare or you mind be at peace? Spend 5 minutes each day this week, envisioning it, using all of your senses to imagine it taking place.

• Become aware of when you are taking action in your life from a place of effort and practice shifting into ease. Notice if this increases your productivity, joy and ability to manifest what you want.

• Increase your ability to have what you want by letting go of any limiting messages or beliefs that say you can’t have the things you want. Rise above the notion of deserving and undeserving to a place of high havingness where all possibilities exist.
