March 17, Positive Affirmation for Balance

March 17th, 2009 Jeanie Marshall Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Balance, balance, positive affirmation No Comments »

"High intention operates in the midst of balance.
Balance operates in the midst of high intention.
"

… Greetings! Our theme is Balance at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This third week of the month we work with being and intention for balance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
Today’s affirmation is meaningful when using either or both sentences. While the words are reversed, the meaning is not. Balance and high intention operate together. Understanding the power of intention is essential for positive change. Everything (Everything!) is in constant change! However, it is more empowering to feel that change happens for the good of all — for the best. In other words, change needs to be more than mere movement to be empowering.

About Your Process
This affirmation seems to have the rhythm of a chant. You may hear drums or harps, depending on your perspective. Or perhaps you feel the rhythm or the movement; you may hear associated sounds that tell you the extent to which this affirmation resonates for you. Experience the balance of the affirmation; experience the balance in your life that you are intending as a result of working with this affirmation.

March 16, Positive Affirmation for Balance

March 16th, 2009 Jeanie Marshall Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Balance, balance, positive affirmation No Comments »

"I deepen my awareness of the consciousness of balance,
from which my empowering actions spring.

All actions come from consciousness. You may or may not be aware of your process, which is one of the reasons that simple questions like "What is your/my intention?" and "Where is your/my attention?" are so valuable. When you ask these questions, you want to ask them so that they empower, not accuse or blame. Touching your intention usually deepens it. Giving your attention to something means giving your energy, which expands the focus of your attention. Simply asking these two questions (regardless of the answers) lifts your consciousness. Well-constructed questions can be useful for your whole lifetime. Answers change from moment to moment and situation to situation, temporarily useful (sometimes). In addition to the above, here are a few more of my favorite questions: "What is the most empowering thing I can do or say right now?" "What is worthy of my attention?" "What is my true desire?" "Who am I?"

About Your Process
Identify a particular situation you face today — glorious or challenging, large or small, short-term or long-time. Then select one or more of the questions above and write your answers with respect to the identified situation. After you have surfaced enough ideas to give you greater clarity about the situation, write a high intention for empowerment or balance with respect to the situation.

March 15, Positive Affirmation for Balance

March 15th, 2009 Jeanie Marshall Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Balance, balance, positive affirmation No Comments »

"I know that balance leads to the highest good for all."

"The highest good for all" is my idea of an all-purpose, generic high intention. I personally like to articulate this intention when I have an opinion about what is best or when I do not have a clue what is best. As soon as the concept of the "highest good for all" has your attention, your perspectives and the creative outcomes expand, even if you do not have concrete facts. You just know that everything is happening for the good of all. A stated intention is the foundation of all my work. When I start a project or a consultation or a conversation, I ask myself "what is my intention?" When I am in the role of facilitator or consultant I ask the individual(s) "What is your intention?" Asking the question in a spirit of genuine curiosity opens you to higher/deeper thinking. When you articulate the intention, still deeper is the connection with the intention. When you write down the intention, you experience enhanced awareness by watching results flow from the intention.

About Your Process
What is your intention? Identify a specific situation, perhaps one that you feel very close to with lots of emotion and history and desires for change. Take a deep breath. Now, set an intention. Keep it simple, just as I suggest when you are writing the over-arching intention for the monthly theme. If your specific situation is with one other person with whom you are in disagreement, perhaps your intention is "to have open and honest communication" or "to come to an understanding that is for the highest good for all" or "to listen deeply and speak clearly." If you find yourself attached to a particular position for an end result, you are not working with high intention.

Positive Affirmations for the Week of March 15-21, Balance

March 15th, 2009 Jeanie Marshall Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Balance, balance, positive affirmation No Comments »

Greetings! This message is an overview of the next seven days of the DailyAffirm Process. The sidebars provide you with additional information. Read the messages Day by Day or simply check in when the spirit moves you. If you prefer to receive the daily messages by email, please subscribe to one of our email alert lists (check the options at the bottom of the navigation bar).

Remind yourself of your over-arching intention for balance.

About Being/Intending Affirmations and Balance
This week’s affirmations support balance in your life by going into the consciousness of your intention. "To be or not to be" is a much-quoted line from one of our greatest writers. You must know who you are and know who you are becoming. It is also helpful to know who you are not and who you are not becoming when that leads you to clarify who you are. In any given moment you may feel that you are unbalanced or dissonant or indecisive, which is the perfect time to affirm your intention to become balanced, to become balance.

About your Process in the Third Week
What is your intention for balance? What is your intention for this week with respect to balance? What is the most empowering thing you can do/say about the aspect of your life that most challenges you? Who are you? Who are you becoming? As you ponder these questions, consider also how you feel about the idea of balancing your life from the inside to the outside. As you let go of others’ perceptions and opinions, consider the power of the balance of One, a balance which transcends duality.

About the Affirmations in the Third Week
If I were to select the definitive affirmation for the week to represent being and intending for Balance it would be the affirmation for March 20: "I understand the meaning of balance. I know that balance transcends duality." Duality on the earth plane is a method of evolving. This week, transcend duality so that you feel whole right here and right now.

Make this a balanced week!

March 14, Positive Affirmation for Balance

"I am ready right now to live in balance and harmony."

… Greetings! Our theme is Balance at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This second week of the month we work with receiving and accepting balance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
Are you ready? Are you sure? Readiness is such a nifty idea because you get to make a choice before you commit the act. Readiness is not about the future, it is about the present. So, if you are ready right now, that is all that matters. You can fill yourself with the energy of readiness. Breathe it. Expand your energy field with its vibration. If anything opposes the readiness, let the opposition come forward so you can speak to it. You can even be ready for non-readiness! You are in charge. Experience the readiness, right now.

About Your Process
In the first week of the month, you worked with affirmations that emptied you of non-balance. This week, you have been opening to ideas and experiences of balance. Tomorrow the DailyAffirm process assists you to move into a deeper relationship with balance so that in the fourth week you can step into balance in a way that you may not even understand now. In the days following the fourth week, you will reflect on integration of balance. Of course, you do not need to wait until the end of the month to live in balance and harmony, so if you feel it is unnecessary to affirm your readiness, simply re-write the affirmation so that it reads. "I live in balance and harmony right now."

March 13, Positive Affirmation for Balance

March 13th, 2009 Jeanie Marshall Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Balance, balance, positive affirmation No Comments »

"I accept balance, harmony, and grace in all aspects of my life."

This affirmation presents the concept of the Receiving/Accepting affirmations clearly, simply, concisely. You could make it shorter by saying "I accept balance." However, to articulate (and feel) the specific elements you wish to accept is clarifying both to you and to the Universe. How you feel is important, for if you feel you are compromising or giving up something, you are not truly "accepting." Acceptance is clear and clean, without conditions or regrets or doubts.

About Your Process
The article "Fire Free Bird" speaks about this kind of acceptance, although I use the word "surrender" in the article. This short article might be inspiring if you are struggling or are challenged with the idea of balance. Likely, you have developed a style of outward action for making things happen — a powerful skill in many settings. When you are progressing on your spiritual journey, though, it is important to blend this quality of outer action with the quality of receptivity or acceptance. That is balance. You may find that you have to go through an interim step to stop the outward action or aggressiveness so that you can experience acceptance as a distinct dynamic.

March 12, Positive Affirmation for Balance

March 12th, 2009 Jeanie Marshall Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Balance, balance, positive affirmation No Comments »

"Balance, you are my friend.
You help me to live in integrity.
"

… TeleMeditation Today! See Below.

Personifying balance can help you to accept this dynamic into your life, so you can call balance a friend. If you are constantly trying to make things balance, you are not in a friendship, but a contest. Integrity is balance — balance of the inner and outer, balance of above and below, balance of left and right. You perhaps often equate integrity with honesty, which is certainly an important element of integrity. Thinking of integrity as balance can open another facet of this theme that you are exploring this month.

About Your Process
As you work with today’s affirmation, consider the many friends in your life. People and things and ideas might come to your mind. If you have a friendship with your car and your computer, your experiences are different from those created if you see your car or your computer as your enemy or as a set of metal and plastic parts. Take a few moments today to acknowledge several friends. Thank them for being in your life — either thank them directly or with private thoughts of gratitude. Remember family and neighbors and long-ago acquaintances and former co-workers and grade school teachers. If faces of enemies pop into your mind, see them as friends. The best way to destroy your enemies is to make them your friends.

"Dear God,
allow me to see balance in a way that I can understand.
"

… TeleMeditation Tomorrow. See Below.

This is one of my favorite affirmations. I like its simplicity. You can only see your world look through your own perspective. Your lenses and preferences and backgrounds and ways of seeing are different from others’. Some individuals may be stimulated into understanding balance by seeing children in a playground on a seesaw or by watching a river flow gently on a warm spring day or by feeling a glow. Others may understand balance by getting sick and recovering or by losing a job and finding one that is more suitable than the first. Still others may learn about balance by going on a spiritual retreat or workshop.

About Your Process
When I use the word "balance" or the phrase "energetic balance" in the context of my consulting work, I thing of all parts being in harmony or disharmony with each other — as a symphony. I look at many different layers and levels of the energy field, balancing the energy within each. I balance the energy moving from the top down and the bottom up. I also notice how parts of one layer or level balance or communicate with others (e.g. how the liver is processing anger; how a person’s solar plexus is managing a job conflict). So, I perceive balance as related to (and sometimes synonymous with) clarity, communication, harmony, peace, health, love, and light. As part of your understanding balance more deeply for yourself, consider the words and concepts and experiences that you associate with balance.

"I allow balance to flow through me and to act as me."

… TeleMeditation Thursday. See Below.

Today’s affirmation challenges you to become balance, to be balance. As balance flows through you, you become familiar with its vibration. In order for something to "act as" you, you must become it. You must be what you desire. Balance is not something outside yourself, but inside. Other people’s perceptions of your sense of balance may be interesting information (worthy of an appropriate amount of your attention as a piece of data), yet your own perceptions about balance are the ones that are essential for your health and satisfaction.

About Your Process
To enhance your process as you say or work with today’s affirmation, consider these questions. As you feel balance flow through you, what does it feel like? As you see balance flow through you, what does it look like? As you sense balance flow through you, what do you sense? As you listen to the sounds of balance, what do you hear? As you resonate with balance, what do you become? These questions expand your consciousness about balance so that you can more easily become at one with it.

March 9, Positive Affirmation for Balance

March 9th, 2009 Jeanie Marshall Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Balance, balance, positive affirmation No Comments »

"I receive messages of balance from the Universe.
I flow like a smooth river in this balance.
"

… TeleMeditation Thursday. See Below.

The balance of the Universe is infallible. In the narrowness of the human focus, you often cannot see the perfection of it all. When it is hardest to see, that is the time when you most need to trust, to put yourself in the hands of the divine or your inner guidance. It is easy to trust when you can see the evidence of balance in the outer world. Now, however, you need to trust at a deeper level, to trust in the invisible rather than the visible. Let the Universal river carry you.

About Your Process
Consider several areas of life that you try hard to balance, try to make balance — perhaps work and play, your checkbook, fairness or honesty in a particular relationship, food choices, or reactions to others. Notice how you use your weekend to try to achieve a balance for the week’s activities. Remind yourself of the over-arching intention you set for balance. Look deeply at your own image or interpretation of "flow like a smooth river" or maybe it is a bubbling brook or raging ocean or deep pool or shallow puddle. What do you need to accept into your life so that you experience balance as you desire and define it?

About the Book of the Month Recommendation

Since so much of my work is related to working with energy and energy fields, I have frequently been asked over a period of many years to recommend books about energy. Usually I suggested one or two books that I think a particular individual will like that might address some relevant topics, but then I found a book I felt good about recommending to anyone who is interested in energy, energy healing, and energy fields.

Energy Medicine

The book I regularly recommend is called
Energy Medicine by Donna Eden. This is my pick for Balance in the month of March on DailyAffirm. She has prepared a companion DVD which is also excellent.

You may read my book

March 8, Positive Affirmation for Balance

March 8th, 2009 Jeanie Marshall Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Balance, balance, positive affirmation No Comments »

"I open to allow balance and magical synchronicity
to operate in my life.
"

… Greetings! Our theme is Balance at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This second week of the month we work with receiving and accepting balance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
The world is so filled with images and messages about making things happen that it can sometimes be a shock to even consider letting them happen. When you are in the midst of synchronicity, you know that your higher wisdom is in charge, transcending the human manipulation that you might construct. It is such a joy to get out of the way and let the natural balance of life answer your desires in its way. The flow and processes of the Universe are truly magical if you only let go of the reins of control and allow.

About Your Process
I often work with incredibly powerful persons. I recall doing a consultation with such a person, with a wide span of influence and visibility. He was in a shift of merging the being and the doing, the making and the letting. Intellectually, he made the shift many years ago — that was easy for him. Then, he had to make the shift emotionally and physically, which were more challenging for him. Spiritually, no shift was really required for him. One of the questions he asked me was "Does everyone go through this or is my process unique?" To which I answered, "yes." The fuller meaning was that we all do go through various transitions, yet each proceeds in his or her own unique ways. Comparing with others is not usually very helpful. Just be where you are, and open.

Positive Affirmations for the Week of March 8-14, Balance

March 8th, 2009 Jeanie Marshall Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Balance, balance, positive affirmation No Comments »

Greetings! In this message, I’ll give you an overview of the next seven days of the DailyAffirm Process. The sidebars provide you with additional information. Read the messages Day by Day or, simply check in when the spirit moves you. If you prefer to receive the daily messages by email, please subscribe to one of our email alert lists (check the options at the bottom of the navigation bar).

About Receiving/Accepting Affirmations and Balance
The ability to be receptive (generally considered a feminine quality) in a masculine and male-oriented society is, in itself, a demonstration of balance. Truly, you must balance the masculine and feminine energies as well as other energies so that one part neither dominates nor distorts the whole (nor believes that one part is the whole). Open. Open to allow. Open to allow so that you can accept and receive.

About your Process in the Second Week
Consider this week what you are most in need of accepting into your life so that you experience balance. Perhaps such qualities as love or peace or calmness or clarity. Perhaps new ideas. Or a new way of thinking. Notice whether you believe that you must accept something from outside yourself or from inside yourself. Notice also any uneasiness about receptivity or acceptance. How do you define and achieve balance in your portion of the world?

About the Affirmations in the Second Week
If I were to select the definitive affirmation for the week to represent receiving and accepting for Balance, I would choose the March 11 affirmation:: "Dear God, allow me to see balance in a way that I can understand." This simple prayer supports you in making balance real and present in your life, not as a theory or a dream or a fantasy.

Make this an ACCEPTional week!

March 7, Positive Affirmation for Balance

March 7th, 2009 Jeanie Marshall Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Balance, balance, positive affirmation No Comments »

"I let Spirit
(My Higher Self, God, My Spirit Guides, The One, The Force, Infinite Source)
purify any remaining thoughts and feelings of struggle and injustice.
"

… Greetings! Our theme is Balance at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This first week of the month we work with releasing and cleansing non-balance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
This affirmation is the last of the releasing ones with this theme, so give the remains of non-balance to Spirit for purification. Select any (or all!) designations of higher power. You cannot have too much higher power. Give up (up, up, up) struggle and belief in struggle. Give up (up, up, up) injustice and belief in injustice. Give up (up, up, up) disharmony and belief in disharmony. Let Spirit purify you.

About Your Process
While you are reading or saying today’s affirmation, you may want to let your breathing follow the rhythm of the words: the in-breath brings in an awareness of Spirit and the out-breath releases those remaining thoughts and feelings of struggle and injustice, or anything else you associate with the opposite of balance as you have defined it. Let this affirmation empty you out so that you can fill yourself with those things that you desire. Of course, if you want to hang on to struggle and injustice…… Know that it is your choice.

March 6, Positive Affirmation for Balance

March 6th, 2009 Jeanie Marshall Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Balance, balance, positive affirmation No Comments »

"I let go of thoughts that suggest there is no balance.
I stop creating images that life is unfair and
start creating images of joy.

Today’s affirmation invites you to dissolve and erase ideas and beliefs that block your acceptance of balance. You may find yourself working successfully with this affirmation without even knowing precisely what those ideas and beliefs are OR you may find information jumps out at you everywhere you turn today. When your journey is the latter, it is time for you to turn your attention from these images that you do not want to images that you do want. Give this releasing process the proper attention — just enough to recognize what you do not want — so that you can give your attention intentionally to what you do want. As the thoughts of imbalance and unfairness and injustice and indecision come into your conscious awareness, let them flow from you, and give your focus to balance and fairness and justice and decision.

About Your Process
Are you noticing that you and others are releasing old stuff as you work with these Releasing/Cleansing affirmations? The power of this process (as well as other self-development processes) is more greatly enhanced when you sharpen your awareness of your own process and the processes of others. What do you notice today about balance or imbalance? about fairness or unfairness? about life in any aspect? To what do you most want to give your attention?

As you become aware of specific beliefs that are limiting thoughts, you may wish to return to working with the affirmations of March 1 and March 2. You can adjust either or both affirmations to incorporate the limiting beliefs that you discover, if you choose. You will find that writing these affirmations according to the writing process explained in "Writing Affirmations for Empowerment" will be particularly effective.

March 5, Positive Affirmation for Balance

March 5th, 2009 Jeanie Marshall Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Balance, balance, positive affirmation No Comments »

"I cut negative bonds of attachment to imbalance and inequality.
I untie the duality of bondage and control.

Cutting negative bonds of attachment is a powerful technique for releasing and detaching yourself from someone or something. You can perceive or imagine the quality or characteristics of the bonds between yourself and whatever keeps you from experiencing balance. My definition of a technique is a method to train you or focus your attention to do something so well that you do not need the technique — similar to training wheels on a child’s bicycle. As you experiment with powerful techniques (such as many that I mention, and those from other sources), you must remember that they are only tools — you are the power. You have incredible power. If some technique teaches you about your own power, it has done its job. If the author of a technique tells you that the technique is required in order for you to be powerful, it has not served you, but the author.

About Your Process
You can use your imagination to check the bonds that keep you attached to someone or something. The attachment may be a belief that someone or something has power over you. Without focusing on the person or thing to which you are negatively attached, examine the bonds. Are the bonds tight? What color are they? How thick are they? Of what substance are they? What instrument is required to cut the bonds? When you are ready, cut them. As you cut the bonds, also cut or untie the belief that the bondage of one + the control of another = balance. This equation is part of an old paradigm whose time is of the past. The releasing process of this week assists you in moving into a new paradigm and a new definition of balance.
