May 22, Positive Affirmation for Trust

"Trust energizes my actions and propels me on
the path to transformation."

… Greetings! Our theme is Trust at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This fourth week of the month we work with acting and claiming trust. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
Wow! You have propelled yourself along your path by trust, the best kind of gas/petrol! (And the price does not go up at the pump.) Get energized with Spirit, with trust, with truth. Life is a process. A popular phrase is "trust the process" — in fact, that has been a popular phrase in all the years that I have been actively involved in personal and organizational development. When you feel non-trusting, that is the time you must remind yourself to trust the process. As you trust, you are propelled further. And you often inspire others to trust more, which inspires you even further. And so continues the process.

About Your Process
Today is a great day to ponder what it means to be on a path to transformation. As you know, these affirmations are based on a book which uses the title, Affirmations: A Pathway to Transformation. I carefully call the affirmations "A" pathway to transformation, not "The" pathway to transformation. Many paths and pathways can lead you to transformation, to transformations of many types.

Positive Affirmations for the Week of May 22-31, Trust

May 22nd, 2009 Jeanie Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Trust, positive affirmation, trust No Comments »

Greetings! This message serves as an overview for the acting and claiming affirmations of this fourth week and the integrating and embodying of the last three days of the month at DailyAffirm. The sidebars provide you with additional information. Read the messages Day by Day, or simply check in when the spirit moves you. If you prefer to receive the daily messages by email, please subscribe to one of our email alert lists (check the options at the bottom of the navigation bar).

About Acting/Claiming Affirmations and Trust
First of all, remember that "stop" and "silence" are also aspects of acting and claiming. I say this so that you do not interpret the affirmations this week as needing to be aggressive or noisy. Trust, itself, has a rather quiet energy — smooth, and calming. When you envision yourself or others acting with trust, you usually see confidence, assurance, peace. Trust is, first and foremost, an act of self-trust. When you trust yourself, you know when others are trustworthy.

About your Process in the Fourth Week
Since your "process" is about "how" you do things, you might want to focus on how you act when you trust. Observe yourself, for example, when you trust yourself or a situation or another person. . . How does this feel? How do you think about the objects of trust? How do you speak? How do you give your attention to something or someone? How do you show that you trust? Observe yourself, also, when you do not trust yourself or a situation or another person. . . How does this feel? How do your feelings connect with your thoughts? How do you speak? How do your actions, words, and thoughts align with your attention?

About the Affirmations in the Fourth Week
If I were to select the definitive affirmation for the week to represent being and intending for trust it would be "I let every act be an act of trust," the affirmation for May 27. When you know the truth of this affirmation, you learn about trust through everything you do.

About Integrating/Embodying Affirmations and Trust
Bless these remaining days of the month, days that allow you to integrate and embody the theme of trust. It is not so important that you learn something new, but that you know what you have learned in the deepest possible way. Breathe trust into your lungs and cells and muscles. Relax; reflect.

About your Process in the Remaining Days
If you have been writing about your experiences this month, you might want to review your notes. Anything that does not fit can be released. Relax and allow the integration to happen effortlessly. Rejoice in the consciousness of trust.

Make this a splendid week-plus!

May 21, Positive Affirmation for Trust

"Trust enhances all my thoughts and feelings."

… Greetings! Our theme is Trust at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This third week of the month we work with our being and intention for trust. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
I appreciate the simplicity of today’s affirmation. The idea that every single thought and feeling is enhanced by trust is uplifting. For this affirmation to be effective, you do not need to be concerned about your definition of trust, nor do you need to identify the specific thoughts or feelings that are enhanced. Definitions and specifics are bonuses. The essence of this affirmation is to let the energy of trust work for you through your intention. Show up and trust. All else flows from that consciousness.

About Your Process
This last day of the third week is the perfect day to re-visit the over-arching intention you set at the beginning of the exploration of Trust. After clearing out in the first week, opening up in the second week, and relating to trust in specific situations in this third week, you perhaps have a deeper connection with your over-arching intention. You may want to check that your over-arching intention is clear and simple, one that works for you at all times, in all places, with respect to trust.

Make this a thoughtful day!

May 20, Positive Affirmation for Trust

May 20th, 2009 Jeanie Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Trust, positive affirmation, trust No Comments »

"I understand the meaning of trust.
I know that when I trust myself, I trust others.
"

… Greetings! Our theme is Trust at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This third week of the month we work with our being and intention for trust. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
Today’s affirmation is the one which best presents my own definition of "trust." When you truly know the meaning of trust, you transcend the mental processes, that is, you do not merely recognize or think about trust, you know trust. The deepest meaning of trust is an experience which no words can convey, yet it can be empowering to attempt to find the words that represent or name the experience as authentically as possible.

Here’s an example: I facilitated a corporate team building event for five powerful persons for whom "trust" had been an issue repeatedly identified in the advance interviews. On the afternoon of the second/last day, one of the participants said, "This is it. This is trust." We all paused. In the silence we could feel it. In that moment, words to describe the feeling would have been hollow, indeed, yet his clear and succinct words named the moment for us to breathe in and experience.

About Your Process
Identify a situation (a relationship, place in nature, book, teacher, prayer, silence, etc.) in which you know trust. You have no doubt; you know trust. Breathe in trust. Feel it. Sense it. Notice its texture. See its color. Hear its vibration. Let your lips touch it as you whisper or shout "trust." Describe it. Throughout my many years as a group process facilitator and consultant, I have repeatedly observed positive results when folks verbalize their visions and dreams and goals to others, especially others who care. If this feels appropriate to you (trust yourself to know if this is appropriate or not), share your Trust Vision Statement (as described with yesterday’s affirmation) with a trusted friend.

"I remember to trust. I trust myself.
I remember who I Am.
"

… Greetings! Our theme is Trust at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This third week of the month we work with our being and intention for trust. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
Sometimes you just forget. Acknowledge your forgetfulness as an aspect of the human condition, without falling into the trap of blame or guilt. Forgetfulness can be the result of any number of possible causes, and sometimes is just as simple as having the focus of your attention on something other than the subject you have forgotten. Today’s affirmation challenges you to remember on many levels: to remember the idea of trust, to remember yourself, and to remember the divine. It is time to remember; it is time to re-member.

About Your Process
As you are understanding yourself and trust more deeply, you may find that a Trust Vision Statement supports you. Your vision statement may be your over-arching intention for the month, the dream(s) in which you trust, your definition of trust, or your desired manifestation. When you have developed a Trust Vision Statement that you are pleased with, put it in a place that allows you to give it your attention at various times throughout the day. Let the Trust Vision Statement change if needed. It can help you to remember who you are.

"My mission is to embrace trust in my world."

This is a worthy mission! As you embrace trust in ways that feel personal, you make a powerful contribution to the world. Think of what a different world it would be if you and everyone else trusted each other! Wow! In an instant, the world would be transformed. In the meantime, though, you can transform Your World, because Your World is where you give your attention. "World Peace is a Personal Choice." You get to choose the world in which you live by the focus of your attention.

About Your Process
You have your own unique, individual, personalized, and singular process. Running parallel to your unique process is the universal process. If you look carefully, you are likely to find that your process and the universal process are astoundingly similar. This similarity does not diminish your uniqueness, but supports and honors it. Perhaps you have stepped through a dark wall of despair, fear, doubt, and toxicity. Throughout history, humans have been clever about stepping around the wall (denying it), going over it (overcoming it), blasting into it (forcing or struggling with it), and lifting it up (glorifying it).

It is time now to walk through it with your light. Oops! Be careful not to drop the light, believing that the darkness is omnipresent. The heaviness you are experiencing in yourself and/or others right now is the confirmation that the transformative process is working. You are walking through the darkness with your light. Embrace your mission.

May 17, Positive Affirmation for Trust

May 17th, 2009 Jeanie Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Trust, positive affirmation, trust No Comments »

"High intention operates in the midst of trust.
Trust operates in the midst of high intention.
"

… Greetings! Our theme is Trust at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This third week of the month we work with our being and intention for trust. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
This is just beyond the middle and still in the midst of this month’s exploration of trust. This is the perfect vantage point for you to look backward to the over-arching intention you set initially, and look forward to the vision you hold of trust. Trust requires a fertile environment in which to operate in its fullness. Of course, it is important to create this environment in ways that are already familiar to you and in ways that foster familiarity. If you get stuck in appearances — that is, trying to make things look safe and trusting — you may handle the immediate situation adequately, but you do not necessarily build trust. It is preferable for trust to operate simply because you are present and authentic, not because you have performed tricks or used neat techniques or masked pain.

About Your Process
Embedded within your over-arching intention for Trust is the belief you hold about the definition of trust. If you believe trust is like an automobile, for example, you know that the vehicle requires certain elements and conditions in order to operate. If you consider that "trust" is a synonym for "faith," you want to be clear in what you have faith. Faith in fear or danger does not facilitate empowerment as, say, faith in yourself or faith in love. As you ponder what trust is and how it operates, you may find that more spaces open for experience of trust, as trust does require an expanded energy field. P.S. It’s O.K. to look in your dictionary or thesaurus to read definitions of "trust."

May 16, Positive Affirmation for Trust

May 16th, 2009 Jeanie Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Trust, positive affirmation, trust No Comments »

"I deepen my awareness of the consciousness of trust,
from which my truthful actions spring.
"

… Greetings! Our theme is Trust at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This third week of the month we work with our being and intention for trust. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
Consciousness is the stuff from which manifestations and actions are created. As you become more aware of the energy of those things that you desire to create and experience, you find that manifesting your dreams is effortless and enjoyable. You can accelerate your process by becoming more familiar with energetics. If, for example, you desire to speak the truth, you must be able to recognize the energy of truth wherever it exists, regardless of the packaging. You can become quite distracted by packaging (e.g., superficially beautiful people with shallow personalities), and convinced of falsehoods (e.g., viewpoints presented and re-presented as facts in the media), and overcome by your own distresses (e.g., demands that overly stretch you). You might trust such things because you see or hear or touch them, usually repeatedly. Let today’s affirmation challenges you to go deeper than the surface.

About Your Process
What is the one most important thing you desire to accomplish today? (Yes, I know there are many things you desire to accomplish today and, furthermore, that you will accomplish far more than one thing. But, humor me, pick one.) Got it? Now ask yourself some questions about this thing: What is your intention? What purpose does this thing have in your life? How much do you trust yourself to accomplish the highest good for all through this thing? What is your truth with respect to this thing? Take a deep breath to deepen your awareness of the consciousness of trust. Repeat these four questions. Trust the process.

"I know that trust leads to the highest good for all."

The word "know" when applied to spiritual ideas means embodying higher consciousness rather than recognizing or naming facts. "Spiritual realization" is the perfect euphemism for this knowing, but that is a mouthful. The energy that accompanies this knowing is strong and pure. Often it is important to affirm this kind of knowing quietly. To know and to be silent is one of many initiations along an intentional spiritual path. I have witnessed powerful transformation occur while being in this consciousness of knowing the highest good for all.

About Your Process
The beginning of this third week, which focuses on being/intending affirmations, is an appropriate time to re-visit the over-arching intention that you set at the beginning of your exploration of Trust. This week also allows you to know at a deeper level what your over-arching intention about trust can mean to your life. Today, you may wish to identify a specific situation which can benefit from an infusion of deep knowing and spiritual realization.

Positive Affirmations for the Week of May 15-21, Trust

May 15th, 2009 Jeanie Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Trust, positive affirmation, trust No Comments »

Greetings! In this message, I’ll give you an overview of the next seven days of the DailyAffirm Process. The sidebars provide you with additional information. Read the messages Day by Day, or simply check in when the spirit moves you. If you prefer to receive the daily messages by email, please subscribe to one of our email alert lists (check the options at the bottom of the navigation bar).

Remind yourself of your over-arching intention for trust.

About Being/Intending Affirmations and Trust
"To be or not to be. That is the question." These are famous words from Shakespeare’s "Hamlet," of course. Trusting that it is worthwhile to be alive in physical form is an issue that many persons face at some time in their lives. In the deepest time of non-trust, a tiny spark of light may be all that is needed to kindle your inner trust. Or you may be that spark of light for another who is ready to awaken from the darkness. This is a time of awakening! You have your own style of awakening — with a yawn or a grumble or a leap or one sleepy eye slowly opening. You must awaken in order to be who you are here on earth to be. Your acquired habits of do, do, do can put you firmly in the do-do. Activities that keep you from being authentic and fulfilled can be refocused with clear intention.

About your Process in the Third Week
This week, go deeper into the idea of your intention of trust. You can dabble on the surface and think about whether you trust this person or that idea or a decision you have made. Or you can go deeper and live with the ideas that relate to self-trust. Or you can go still deeper and explore Trust in Self and the Divine. I challenge you to go to the core of Trust. If you were to live with the definitive question related to Trust and Being/Intending, it is "Who am I?" This is a question you can ask yourself hundreds of times a day, yielding a different and viable answer to each iteration.

About the Affirmations in the Third Week
If I were to select the definitive affirmation for the week to represent being and intending for Trust it would be the affirmation for May 19: "I remember to trust. I trust myself. I remember who I Am." These three sentences help us to connect more deeply with the true meaning of trust and our personal mission.

Make this a meaningful week!

May 14, Positive Affirmation for Trust

May 14th, 2009 Jeanie Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Trust, positive affirmation, trust No Comments »

"I am ready right now to live in trust.
The Angel of Trust is with me."

… Greetings! Our theme is Trust at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This second week of the month we work with receiving and accepting trust. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
The Angel of Trust is a being of Light who came strongly into a meditation group I facilitated for many years called "Going Deeper." This being came at a time when many in the group were particularly distressed and despairing. It was a pivotal experience because it was a spiritual initiation that accelerated them into their next phase of development. They were ready.

About Your Process
Do you trust yourself? Are you ready to trust yourself? These are two distinctly different questions. If you are resonating with victim consciousness, you are not living in self-trust, although you may trust in being a victim. Here is an assignment to help you to accept the power of today’s affirmation. Listen to yourself and/or others. "This happened to me…" is a clue that the speaker is feeling or thinking as a victim. Listen more closely to what follows. If the story is more about the speaker being done to rather than doing, these are more clues. Even a very powerful person can feel or think as a victim from time to time, falling into a trap of agreed-upon (consensus) reality. Victim consciousness is prevalent — a weakened and distorted view of the world. This observation exercise that I suggest is important for the remaining weeks in this month of Trust. Remember to be gentle with yourself and others, regardless of what you observe. This exercise is not intended as an invitation to judge, but as an invitation to observe and evolve, so that you can live more fully what you desire to live.

May 13, Positive Affirmation for Trust

May 13th, 2009 Jeanie Posted in Affirmations, Personal Development, Theme: Trust, positive affirmation, trust No Comments »

"I accept trust, joy, and love in all aspects of my life."

To experience something, you accept it into your life. You may tend to argue against this point when you are in the middle of uncomfortable circumstances or when you feel like a victim. When you are in pain, it is hard to understand that you have invited the painful conditions you are experiencing. And, of course, you have not done this intentionally. As you become more intentional about your thought patterns and responses, you might become impatient when your circumstances do not change as quickly as you grasp ideas for change, tending to blame the circumstances or conditions outside yourself. Self-kindness is required as you develop new habits that encourage receiving what you truly desire. A simple "yes" to trust and joy and love is a starting place; consistent "yeses" yield the manifested desires.

About Your Process
Today, remember to be kind to yourself and to life. As you work with today’s and other empowering affirmations and methods, you are moving away from old thoughts and patterns. The conditions you find yourself in today are manifestations of previous thoughts. It is true that your birthright is to experience joy, however, if you have not yet lifted your consciousness to focus on joy, just take that on as your work. Life is a process. You are not here to manipulate the Universe, but to experience life to the fullest. Today, appreciate all that surrounds you, for you have accepted these things into your life. If you are not pleased with what you have already manifested, start today to accept what you desire into your life by giving your thoughts to trust, joy, and love.

"Trust, you are my friend.
I take you everywhere I go.
"

… Greetings! Our theme is Trust at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This second week of the month we work with receiving and accepting trust. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation and suggestions for your process. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

About Today’s Affirmation
Ordinarily when you think of a "friend," you are likely to think of a person. Today as you think about Trust as your friend, expand your definition of friendship. While you cannot take a human friend everywhere you go, you can take Trust everywhere you go. Trust is something you carry in your heart. Also, the Angel of Trust can be with you everywhere. Trust is not an elusive concept, but a real energy.

About Your Process
As you live today, remember Trust as a special friend in all you do and say. Remember Trust as you meditate, as you drive, as you walk, as you speak to a human friend, as you eat, as you dream, as you play. Talk to Trust, your friend. And listen. You may choose to ask some of the following questions: "Who are you?" and "How will I know you?" and "How can I recognize you when I am feeling lost (or lonely, despairing, confused, afraid, etc.)?" and "How will you let me know that you are with me when I forget?"
