We’ve heard it all a million times: the various secrets of how to manifest lives of abundance. Every “Guru” has their own angle; a singular approach to manifesting that we’ve all tried. LOVE that Liberates vs. “Love” that Enslaves

I find this article very inspiring and agree 100% with how the author distinguished the two kinds of love. I have been enslaved by “love” but it was also love that liberated me. I think many people have gone through the same experience. To those who are in love, and those who are broken-hearted, please [...]

Love Is in the Air: Five Steps into Joyful Abundance

on Manifesting Abundance at Manifesting with the Law of Attraction

What is it that brings about healing and attracts love, joy, peace and prosperity into our lives? As a journalist, writer and author, I’ve studied science and spirituality for decades and perhaps like you have formed a seamless belief system that makes sense of everything.

So I’m excited when I see proof of it, which comes over and over again and most recently in an e-mail message from a new friend of mine in Pittsburgh. He wrote to say that when we hugged, he felt the direct transfer of something from me into his chest. It didn’t carry any emotional impact, but a physical shift in his energies transpired and the next day rid him of a misconception that had caused him a great deal of anxiety.

Could I explain what had happened, he asked? Were these two events connected? What isn’t, I laughed in delight, replying with the lessons my inner voice of wisdom had just been teaching me!

Bearers of light

I spoke to David of liking him from the moment we met, as I’d sensed something very special in him. He was coordinating the Sunday service at his Unity church, and as he stood at the podium, speaking so gently of love, my heart opened and I became aware of the high spiritual energies in the room. I was there to speak and my travel fatigue instantly melted away.

During the “meet and greet” portion of the service, I hugged David gratefully for the love he had given me. So it was not I who healed him, but the Love in him that did the work. When we are open and ready for change, love responds and Light flows into and through us, bringing about the transformation we seek.

My seven-year-old grandson understands this perfectly. He delights in creating “pictures” to give away, and alongside many of his colorful airplanes and butterflies are the words, “Love is in the air.”

In this cosmic sea of spirit, composed of energetic waves of thought and feeling, love flows through every person and event. I bring to you some gift of wisdom, a loving thought or touch, and you say something that enlivens me, perhaps opens my heart to a new understanding of us both.

This is what the Hindu mystic-poet Kabir meant in saying, “Sometimes we are a wave, sometimes the ocean. We come here to bring each other to God.” When we are calm and peaceful, we float restfully in the ocean of the OneMind, immersed in its expanded perspectives and at-one with its rhythmic flow. When we are disconnected, we break into separate waves, but even then we call each other back to the One.

Waves in flow with the ocean

What separates us from the OneMind and its peace, joy and fulfillment? It is always stress, fatigue, fear and distrust, tensing us into waves of rigidity and resistance. Many of us fear being hurt and shrink away from life, closing our hearts to the healing Love in and all around us. At times we feel cold and alone, perhaps rejected, abandoned, unsure and confused. But in truth, Love has not abandoned us. We have become oblivious to its presence.

This separation is why we so often feel lost and unhappy. The closed heart, by virtue of its separation, cannot be enriched by All That Is. The law of magnetic resonance, governing the law of attraction, cannot bring riches to poverty, nor peace and happiness to a conflicted bodymind trapped in anger or judgment. When we are experiencing inner conflict and are out of integrity with our souls, we feel a gnawing hunger, a thirst for what is missing, and usually try to satisfy this craving with love relationships, euphoric chemicals, career achievement and/or material possessions. Our busyness almost distracts us from the cold internal knot of separation, but not quite.

The only way back to the ocean of the OneMind is to open our hearts to the light and unfold, petal by petal, into our blossoming.

Nature shows us what to do, especially in the springtime. Out of dark, quiet winter comes a season of warmth and renewal. Brightly colored plants and flowers draw us to the wondrous life force swirling into the curve of a leaf, colorful patches of wildflowers and the light mint greens of budding trees. Seeing the magic of spring, we remember how the Creative Force sweeps into every thing: in sheets of rain upon a rushing river; the pealing laughter in a child’s perfect cartwheel; the sparkling spiral star-dance of our magnificent Milky Way.

Because of this visible and invisible evidence of love, I trust and believe what my inner wisdom tells me: that all waves come to empty our darkness so that Light can flow into the bodymind, enabling us to gently unfold and flower into lives of beauty and joy. Our inner wisdom whispers that each and every wave helps us grow and is called, by our nature, into being.

When we listen to our souls very closely, we hear that this is our dearest wish and the work that we came here to do. The open heart knows this and does it willingly, with excitement and gratitude, understanding its soul’s purpose and the ultimate meaning of life.

The secrets of an open heart

All the same, life is sometimes like a banana peel. It seems that everything conspires to trip us up, throw us off-balance and slide us down some slippery slope, whereupon we close our tender hearts for our own protection. How to open the heart, then, when it closes suddenly or over time?

STEP 1.  The most immediate antidote is to breathe and relax inside the remembered assurance that every wave comes out the OneMind and so must be a wave of love calling us back to Love. Knowing this, we breathe deeply and evenly, becoming perfectly present to the flow of air into the nose and back out of the mouth.

Your can deepen this relaxed, peaceful state of consciousness by counting breaths or following the wind of your breath into your diaphragm and back out of your body. Research has shown that focusing on the breath relaxes us, and focusing on two things simultaneously, like counting and the movement of breath, produces a deeper state of consciousness akin to meditation.

Another heart-opening technique, especially useful during conflict, is to close your eyes and focus on the space between your ears. Try this now, to see for yourself how this diffuses thought and relaxes the body. It works just as well when we focus on the space between the eyes or any two objects. Just as in a guided meditation, the act of imagining space shifts our brainwaves into the alpha bandwidth of vibration. This relaxed peacefulness neutralizes the patterns of overexcited, hyper-aroused physical tension that create most if not all illness and disease, according to neurofeedback research.

STEP 2.  When we repeatedly experience this meditative state of mind, we extend it into everyday life and are better able to stay united with the OneMind. We are less upset by our own thoughts and by external events, so we live happier, healthier, more balanced lives.

Rooted in the transcendent perspectives of the OneMind, we consistently respond to life peacefully and the heart is better able to stay open. When conflict comes up, we breathe, relax and allow that wave of thought energy to wash into and through us, neither holding on to nor resisting it. This is called peaceful, nonviolent non-resistance. We “hold our seats,” as Buddhism teaches and remain peaceful.

It is easy to do this because we know who we are. We are souls observing our selves and what happens in this earth plane for the sake of learning. We are not trapped here, but choose to be here. In this sense of choice and freedom rests fearlessness, courage and the ability to stay peaceful.

By remaining open-hearted, we stay connected with our soul’s infinite wisdom and its creative solutions. We understand how to respond–what, if anything, to say–because our inner wisdom prompts us. In the silence we are able to listen to, hear, feel, sense and see the transcendent perspectives of our open, loving hearts.

Our intuition is an inner knowing of spiritual truth. It expands us beyond the ordinary thinking mind into the transcendent sixth-sense perspectives of inner knowing, feeling, sensing, hearing and seeing. Going deeper within our souls, we observe that any and all negative thoughts are erased from our minds and replaced by a clear sense of direction. At the same time, the Light heals physical discomfort, pain, stress and fatigue.

Serenity through Forgiveness and Unconditional Love

======================================

STEP 3.  Sometimes our hearts are opened by another person’s kindly word, smile or touch, as with my friend David. Sometimes the opening occurs during a walk in the woods, as nature delights us and points the way home.

But what if someone is yelling at or demeaning us in some way that causes pain?

We can ask that person to please calm down so that we may listen better to what he or she has to say. If the person does so and we wish to listen, but nevertheless begin to lose our peace, we can draw our full attention to the heart and center the busy mind in the heart.

The energy of the heart will relax our thinking. We can open to the heart’s love and ask for the OneMind to help us flow into Love, so that this light circulates into every atom and cell of our bodies. Be assured that it will. This heart-centering will help us listen better to the other person and return love. By the law of magnetic resonance, the other person will attune to our energies and grow more loving.

This has been proved in experiments conducted by The Mind-Life Institute in cooperation with the Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Tibet. A Buddhist monk and veteran, 30-year meditator was placed in a room with a professor outraged by the idea of reincarnation. The man berated the monk loudly and to no avail. The monk listened placidly and did not flinch once; in fact, he was hooked up to electrodes and there was no “startle” response whatsoever. Finally the professor grew just as calm and willing to conduct a reasonable conversation.

Try this for yourself. Be the peacemaker and see what happens.

STEP 4.  We can keep our hearts open by freeing ourselves from judgment. The verbal thinking mind loves to name everything and remember similar situations that it then relives and discusses with itself. The ego says, “Aha, I recognize who this person is, because So-and-So was that way, too. This person is devious and dangerous.” Even if the ego is right, this judgment narrows our perspectives and our ability to clearly perceive the full truth about the other person, who, like us, is much more than what was done.

A single, solitary judgment triggers a volley of thinking that closes the heart, blocks inner wisdom and separates us from ourselves, the other person and God! Moreover, constantly reliving the past keeps us from being fully present to the now-moment and serving as a creative, shining light to other people.

The antidote is not to let the thinking mind name, categorize, judge and persecute anyone–us included. We can move the naming, thinking mind into silence by teaching it that no matter what comes up within us or in external reality–an angry person, the loss of a job, illness, the death of a loved one–it is a wave of experience that brings healing and growth. It comes to rid us of what is no longer needed and to evoke in us anything that might be missing. In the world of Spirit, nothing is lost. All is accounted for.

STEP 5. We can be at-one with goodness by keeping our hearts open, rejoicing in the beauty of the world and seeking something to love in every person we meet, including the derelict on the street who teaches us that this is not who we want to be. Even if we feel repulsed, we can look at this person closely enough to find something in him or her to love. Some facial characteristic, some trait…because if love is in the air, it is also in each of us, even at our worst.

Do we have to judge or detest that derelict? My inner wisdom says no, because this person has just given me the gift of knowing myself. I am grateful for that gift and can reach out to return love without needing or expecting appreciation.

In my experience, we come here to open our hearts and love ourselves, others and God. If we feel cold and aloof or separate and apart much of the time, there is a very good chance that our lives are cloudy and gray.

Do you have all of the love, money, happiness and peace that you want in your life? If not, check to see if your heart is open and joyfully aware of the abundance in each and every precious thing in you and your life.

If your heart is closed, you can open it easily with these mind-expansion techniques which enable us to become present to the present. In opening to Love, you will be enlivened by its joy and peace, so that everything you need and so richly deserve will come to you. All else will be pruned away, healed, to make room for fresh growth.

This is the simple and magical secret of life: You have within you all the Love needed to create and attract the life you want. Love calls you to shine your light, for love and love alone will heal our world.

If we stay peaceful, we can catch the waves of love upswelling in our hearts and ride them with perfect balance into our everyday choices and actions for economic parity, social justice and environmental responsibility.

To create a perfect planet of peace and love, all we have to do is remember that love is in the air. We can bring its Light into being with the thought of it, the need of it, the hope of Love that is it. In this wave is the spiritual awakening of our world.

The Seven Steps To Abundance

April 23rd, 2009 Guest Author Posted in Manifesting Abundance, abundance, faith, intuition, life goals, money, peace of mind, strengths and weaknesses, universe No Comments »

Here are my thoughts and steps on how to to “design a life” ..instead of been blown about by the winds of life (like a paper bag), or the currents, like a jelly-fish. Enough similes!

1.Find the VISION. Unless you know where you’re going, you are unlikely to get there. Any place where you are is a good place to start.

Ask yourself:

What activities have you most enjoyed in the last 10 years?

What is fun? What do you treasure?

What do you most want to be doing in the next 10 years?

I’d love to write, help and hopefully even inspire others.

Which of your strengths and weaknesses are a joy to you?

What do people say you are good at?

What is special about you?

List ideally what would you be doing? Living at the beach, writing and travelling…and be financially secure, of course!

Ideally what would you want to be? A successful author was my goal.

Ask WHY do you need those things? What are those status symbols for?

Define your vision. Write it down in less than 10 words. Does it involve other people?

What do I most want to be doing? Why?

What do I most care about? Why?

What steps can I take to move me closer to doing what I really want to do with my life?

Find your niche - your unique skills?

Think about WHO will pay you to enjoy yourself. Instead of worrying about being sacked, think who will pay you to have fun?

Where do you want to work? With whom, in what sort of company? Look for a picture of your ideal environment: home, as well as work.

3. PLAN ahead carefully. Doing this reduces false starts and wrong directions. Most people spend more time planning their annual holiday than they do their “blueprint for life”.

Put it all down in writing. My advice: “Think big, but start small”.

The prominent American psychologist, Carl Rogers said: “The only real security is the preparedness to embrace insecurity”. Be the YOU you most intend to be? Take stock, review your plan and prioritize your life goals.

4. Make the COMMITMENT. Stop saying you’re going to do it and actually DO IT. Put in the work and write out the cheques. This involves going past the point of no return. Make commitments: to yourself, to your loved ones in terms of time, energy and money. Then stick to it and take full responsibility for the outcome.

5. Spell out the details of the PLAN. Think it all through and concentrate hard. What are you going to do? How are you going to do it, step by step? What needs to be done and in what order of priority? What resources do you have at your disposal? What are your expenditure needs? Reaffirm your commitment through a personal budget. Be flexible in your thinking, as circumstances usually change…and we can’t foresee the future. And most importantly, THINK BIG.

6. Develop a network of people to help you achieve your goals (and you can help them achieve their goals at the same time). First, you must be aware of them. It’s a “win-win” situation. Be enthusiastic at all times, because enthusiasm is catching.

7. Take ACTION, that first step…then the next will follow naturally …and far more easily. Nothing can stop you now. “Roll up the sleeves” and get down to work. I believe the first prerequisite for success is loving what you do. I love writing, although it’s very lonely (and probably the world’s most solitary occupation). Always remember, life is not a 100 metres sprint - it’s a marathon. So rest when you feel you need to and don’t feel guilty about it (something I have to learn!). Have fun along the journey. Perservere and persist in your quest.

Take responsibility for your own abundance and your learning throughout the ‘game of life’. Appreciate your abundance daily and give thanks to the Universe for what you do have.

Have faith in yourself - believe deeply in yourself, but even more deeply in a Power far Greater than yourself… who loves you and wants what’s best for you. The spiritual journey may take far longer than you thought, so be patient.

NB:

Always remember,

The measure of success is not money, but learning and growth.

Measure success in learning and growth - nothing else is important. Work is a place each of us creates in order to grow. It is the laboratory for experimenting with our potential

10. When working for yourself, this is a time of unprecedented change in your life. Work allows you to put into place skills and knowledge acquired through education. It is a time to experiment with our potential and the various demands made upon us. Initially we learn to work in teams, working towards a common objective. Then gradually in our working careers we learn to take on more and more responsibility.

Believe you deserve to be abundant - though not more than others. It’s a matter of finding a balance between your ambitions and your responsibilities. Be accountable and socially responsible.

You can’t force people to change. Listen to your intuition, truth and love. That is the “voice” of the Higher Power, God speaking to you.

Law of Attraction: The Bridge To The Abundant Universe

April 9th, 2009 Guest Author Posted in Law of Attraction, abundance, bridge to terabithia, creative thinking, ideal life, imagination, manifest, money, universe No Comments »

I have just finished watching the movie “Bridge to Terabithia” with my nephews. Terabithia was a place of make-believe borne out of the very fertile imagination of Leslie Burke who did not have TV at home. In Terabithia, weird creatures that only the mind can conceive come to life. In Terabithia, all secret wishes and dreams come true.

“That which is conceived within, will eventually be realized without.” That is the law of attraction. A law that is part of this unerring universe. What if we create our own Terabithia? A place in our mind where our dearest wishes and dreams are true already. Where we can touch and feel, smell, hear, see, taste and interact the things we want, and experience the ideal life we want to have. As the law dictates, everything will eventually become a reality.

Most adults often find this difficult to do probably because we believe too much in reality. Time spent in imagination is time wasted and any product of the imagination is mere fantasy. The reality is that there is a recession, some people have lost their jobs, and some their homes. Everywhere, people are getting poorer and life is getting harder. So we have to work harder, and harder, but is struggling really the answer? If all you have within are struggles to make ends meet and then by the law of attraction that is all you will be experiencing.

I think scarcity in this universe would mean the end of it. And there has been perceived scarcity in this universe since time immemorial. The struggle for power and dominion, the perpetual hunger for money, and the insatiable need to be the best than the rest are all signs of this perceived scarcity. There is abundance in the universe because that is the only way that this collection of vibrating energy of cosmic proportion can operate. The law of attraction is the tool to connect to this abundant universe.

It is time to use the mind for more than where to get money for the next mortgage. Give it a rest, allow it to relax and let it soar to a place where you already have the money for the next mortgage. And after you have gone to that place and have already experienced the solution, allow yourself to forget for a few hours or a day. You will be surprised at how you have attracted the solution to your problem.

It seems really crazy to be doing all that law of attraction stuff and most of all forgetting about your mortgage. You would soon be out on the street if you forget your mortgage. But, really, can you say that obsessing and relentlessly turning the problems over and over in your mind brings you the solution to your dilemma? You have been doing that for years and you are still doing that now, there must be a better way.

Why does the poor gets poorer and rich gets richer? Because the poor’s man mind is focused on poverty and his financial problems, while the rich man’s mind is focused on creating ideas to grow his riches. But most rich people are self-made. True! By combining action with creative thinking and looking beyond their realities, these self-made billionaires have successfully lived their ideal lives.

Choose your ideal life today. Use the power of the law of attraction to manifest it in your reality.

8 Prosperity Principles

March 11th, 2009 Jeff Forte Posted in Law of Attraction, Manifestation, Manifesting Abundance, abundance, consciousness, desires, intention, manifest, poverty, power of desire, prosperity, wealth No Comments »

I have taken my favorite elements out of all the literature and teachings I’ve ever read and practiced, and insights I’ve come to though my own personal experiences on the path, and formulated these 8 Principles for Prosperity. I also encourage you to make your own list of prosperity principles based on what works for you. May these 8 principles light the fire to manifest more of your heart’s desires!

(From my experience … If you truly, wholly, fully integrate these eight principles, you have the “inner state” to create anything you desire.)

1. Prosperity comes through communication. Communicate with the world around you to expand your prosperity … through love and appreciation. You cannot experience ultimate abundance without realizing your connection to all things. As you realize we are all One, this becomes a natural part of the path to your prosperity.

2. What you appreciate in life appreciates (through the Law of Attraction). Start appreciating everything you have in your experience. Stop and jot down the things in your life that you appreciate from time to time, even on a daily basis if you are so inclined. Instead of complain about the things you don’t have, appreciate what you do have. The more you find things to appreciate the more rich you become, inwardly and outwardly. This is affirming your abundance. And employing the Law of Attraction on your behalf.

3. Learn how to consciously command what you want from the Universe (as creator). When you have a belief that keeps you in lack, you can use the power of DESIRE and INTENTION to manifest your desire. It then matters less what you believe possible for yourself or what has been your past experience.

4. The past does not exist. Your past is a figment of your imagination. It has no real meaning other than the meaning you assign it. You are one with any part of your past when you think about it … and you create more of it in the NOW. So think about the past as an eternal stream of “practice takes” that allow you to “get it right” in this moment! Only energize the elements of the past that serve your expansion into the prosperous reality you are now allowing and hence creating to be there.

5. The goal is the joy of the journey, not the result. Keeping that focus keeps you centered in the NOW moment where your true wealth can be revealed and expressed, through an endless myriad of expressions and reflections that the Universe wants to show you. This is the path of letting go, and allowing all to exist as it is. Your joy comes from simply being who you are … an infinite and abundant creator.

6. Prosperity is a “feeling place.” Not an outward experience or event. They are the reflections of how you have been feeling or flowing your Source Energy (as creator … that is all you do — flow energy). When you get that it’s all about the feeling of things, that creates anything, you’ve got it.

7. The Law of Giving and Receiving. What you give of your Self you receive back in manifestation. The importance here is HOW you give, not what you give. When you come from a place of abundant giving you receive abundance in return. When you give from the place of limitation or lack (ie. expecting something in return as a pay off) you are given more representations of lack and limitation. This can also be perceived as thinking thoughts or taking actions based on FEAR or those on LOVE. The former yields poverty consciousness, the latter, prosperity consciousness.

8. You are Worthy of goodness, love and abundance. This is the most important principle. For with it, you will realize your infinite nature. It is the foundation for creating everything you can ever desire. That’s why it is last. So you’ll remember with the most impact. Embrace that thought, if you forget everything else, and your abundance will continue to expand. Allow that thought to permeate your entire being, by affirming it as often as you must, no matter how you feel. Know you are worthy just because of who you are … a creator made in the image of the Infinite. That is who you are and will always be, eternally. So rejoice!

Abundance: The Fear of Abundance

February 24th, 2009 Guest Author Posted in Manifestation, Manifesting Abundance, Meditation, Personal Development, abundance, abundant life, fear of poverty, fear of success, law of abundance, money, spiritual purposes, spiritual wealth, true self No Comments »

Is it possible for someone to fear abundance? Who would not want to live the abundant life?

Polarity is a universal law. The law of polarity contends that everything has its polar opposite. The scales of life assures the existence of polar opposites. In conjunction with the Law of Rhythm, everything returns where it begins. Like a pendulum swinging, this is life. Meaning those things that begin with great expectations manifest greatness. Those things that begin with the purpose for serving humanity and the greater good manifest as beacons of light.

Everyone who researches the field of human potential, human development, personal development, religion, philosophy…at some point crosses the concept of a human emotion often called fear. It is comfortable for us to talk about the fear of poverty, however, we ignore our fear of abundance.

The reality is, if you fear poverty, then you fear its polar opposite–abundance. If you fear poverty you fear wealth and abundance. All these fears congest our lives and we are literally paralyzed.

Fear impacts our expectations. The principle of Expectations is linked to the Law of Abundance hence, “so a man thinketh so he is.” The principle of Expectations contends that energy follows thought. If you fear poverty, then somewhere inside, you believe you will live in poverty. Consequently, energy has followed this thought and in due time, your expectation of poverty actualizes.

Now the connection between the fear of poverty and the fear of abundance. Let’s just end this debate right now. No one wants to live in poverty. Poverty means you have very limited options, and no assets. When you live in poverty, you struggle and have limited options. Moreover, poverty means your basic needs are at threat, limited, or diminished. Even those who take a vow of poverty for religious or spiritual purposes have there basic needs met.

So why would anyone have a fear of abundance? Some people believe that abundance and wealth would only lead to corruption and destruction of the human spirit. Not one person who is corrupted or on the path of destruction is living the abundant life. NOT ONE. Abundance is not just about material wealth, however, it does not exclude material wealth!

Abundance is about living healthy, vibrant, with purpose, resources, meaningful relationships, and a strong sense of our true self. Material wealth is a manifestation of mental and spiritual wealth that lies within the individual. We should not concern ourselves with the fear that material wealth will corrupt us. Material wealth, including money, will only make you more of what you already are.

Therefore, if you are kind, giving, loving, and creative, you will be even more kind, giving, loving, and creative while enjoying a life of abundance. If you are insecure, selfish, hoarding, and deceitful, you will be even more insecure, selfish, hoarding, and deceitful while living a life of discontent, sadness, and self-destruction.

There is yet another group of people who fear abundance. Some individuals fear abundance because they believe that abundance will require hours and hours of hard work. The principle of Economy of Force or the Principle of Least Resistance contends that this is just not true.

To many of us are spending 16 hour days at working hoping and praying that soon all our “money” troubles will be over and we can retire in the Bahamas when we are 60 years old. Hah! Don’t mean to burst anyone’s bubble but it just ain’t so.

We are not suppose to work hard. What? That’s right. We are suppose to work creatively. That’s what the human Spirit desires. During times of stillness and quiet, the Universe whispers plans, inventions, and ideas. These witty plans, inventions, and ideas are a part of the creative energies of the Universe waiting for our higher consciousness to receive it.

By stilling the mind in meditation, we discover this knowledge and wisdom. When we act on it. We create wealth. We create freedom. For each of these plans, inventions, ideas are serve a purpose and that purpose in to help humanity in some form. Therefore, it is already a demand for it. There are millions of people wanting it. All you need is the faith and courage to execute.

Your execution will seem effortless when you take the time to meditate and determine how each step should be carried out. Before long, you have tapped into the field of infinite possibilities where anything that is possible is possible. You have opened the flood gates to wealth and success and you are living the abundant life.

Now what is so fearful about that?

While this group would be classified as a fear of success, there are those who have a fear of abundance because they just know they will fail. Again, the Principle of Expectations contends that energy follows thoughts. Therefore, keep thinking it and it will happen. Here’s a novel thought. Practice the Law of Detachment. In this law, you go through the process doing all you can while the Universe handle the details.

All you do is what you know how to do. You stay in meditation. Asking the Universe to show you what you should do next. After you have done it. You step back and let the Universe handle the rest. If the Universe says write a book. Learn what you need to learn to write it. Then, write it. You don’t worry about “how many copies will I sell or if the audience will like it or maybe it won’t sell and I’ll have to file bankruptcy.”

Simply do what you know how to do. Meditate. Remain detached. Expect the best. Gain wisdom in what you are doing. Take each step expecting the best and the best will come. That’s abundance in action.

Money Matters

February 15th, 2009 Heart Projects Posted in Catherine Ponder, Energy, Law of Attraction, abundance, currency, gold, money, opportunities, prosperity, visualization No Comments »

MONEY

My bet is that just seeing the word “Money” big and bold triggered an emotional response in you. Take a second to think about it. What was your first reaction? Was it a flashback of someone telling you that money is the root of all evil; that money doesn’t grow on trees; that you have to work hard to get it; be dishonest or take unfair advantage of someone else? None of these are probably what you “think” about money. Honestly, most people’s thoughts of money are that they want more (and I’m talking a whole lot more) of it. But the challenge is, if what you are thinking and what you are feeling are not a match, your feelings will win out every time.

It should not surprise anyone that money is such an emotionally charged matter, because money is essentially energy. Money is currency, or in other words, a current that flows from an exchange of talents, services or actions. However, the feelings of fear and negativity are co-creators of the barriers that build up and substantially slow or stop the natural flow of currency, money or abundant energy, into our lives.

Here’s a tool that may help you “feel” differently about money. In her classic book, “The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity,” Catherine Ponder tells the story of a salesman whose standard response to the “How’s business” question was always “Business is wonderful because there’s gold dust in the air!” And for him there was. Because he said it was so, each contact resulted in sales and people always remarked of him, “Everything he touches turns to gold.”

Everything you touch can turn to gold, too, if you “see” the gold dust that is in the air. Take a few moments several times a day and simply visualize gold dust surrounding you…well, like the air you breathe. Have fun with this. Feel its vibrant energy cascading over you, softly grazing your hair, faintly brushing your cheeks, covering your clothing, and collecting in your hands and at your feet. Squish it between your fingers. Wiggle your toes in it. Roll around in it. Make gold dust angels! Then when you are truly in that golden state of abundance, feel yourself overflowing with gratitude as you thank the Universe for your bounty.

Visualizing gold dust in the air allows you to accept the truth that wealth and abundance are accessible to everyone and that there is an unlimited supply of it. No one has to lose out. As a matter of fact, abundance is your birthright. It is the way life was meant to be experienced. You don’t have to work HARD for money, take advantage of anyone else, or be evil to get it. Figuratively, all you have to do is open your hands (or a very large trunk) to collect whatever you want. See yourself doing just that and expect golden opportunities to open up for you. Expect that gold nuggets of wisdom to newfound wealth will be revealed to you, and they will.

The Cure for the Money Madness

February 12th, 2009 Edward Mills Posted in Books, Personal Growth, abundance, money No Comments »

Break Your Bad Money Habits, Live Without Financial Stress--and Make More Money!A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of joining 40 or so North Bay Deliberate Creators to celebrate the release of our friend, Spencer Sherman’s, new book, The Cure for Money Madness: Break Your Bad Money Habits, Live Without Financial Stress–and Make More Money!

This book could not come at a better time!

I think we can all agree that we have been witnessing a collective money madness coming out in the world for some time. And this madness is a reflection of the money madness that we hold within ourselves.

Let’s face it, when it comes to money, the vast majority of us are terminally insane!

Spencer’s book addresses that insanity and helps steer us in the direction of sanity, stability and yes, true abundance! As he shares stories from his many years as a high-level financial planner as well as his own journey through that insanity into a (mostly!) sane, grounded, and joyful relationship with money our own money “issues” are illuminated. And with each “Aha” moment that this book provides, we move closer to a space of money sanity!

He also provides practical exercises and tools to help us climb up and out of the often slippery slope of money madness.

If you have ever asked youself, “Why do I always screw up when it comes to money?” or, “Why don’t I ever seem to have enough?” or, “Why is it so difficult to talk about money?” and if you want to understand where those questions come from and how to move beyond them, The Cure for the Money Madness will help.

Check out what Jack Kornfield and Mark Victor Hansen have to say about it:

In these difficult financial times, The Cure for Money Madness offers sanity, clarity, and truly helpful understanding to calm the heart and regain a wise perspective.
–Jack Kornfield, Author of A Path with Heart and Founder of Spirit Rock Meditation Center

You would be crazy not to read this book, cure your money madness, and make more money in every area of your life.

Using Flowers To Bring Calm And Prosperity Into Your Life

February 6th, 2009 Guest Author Posted in Chi, Energy, Feng Shui, abundance, clutter, feng shui tips, financial harmony, good fortune, home feng shui, richness No Comments »

One of the nice things about summer is the richness of the colors of flowers that are abounding. Daisies, lilies, roses, petunias, and so much more. Even the most cynical among us is touched by the burst of colors.

Many people mistakenly think that plants and flowers are just something nice to look at. A female thing. If you’re thinking that way, you’re missing some of the most important benefits of plants and flowers.

Studies have shown that lots of green leafy plants help calm you and help relieve depression. This in turn helps you focus better and think more clearly. May be it has to do with the oxygen they give off?

Similar studies show that just looking at flowers reduces stress. The scent of flowers is also calming. Lavender is especially known for it’s calming qualities.

In Feng Shui, flowers are said to strengthen family harmony and keep the flow of affection in all directions. When you get deeper into feng shui, there are different energies produced by placing certain colors in certain areas of your home.

Green leafy plants in the entryway draw good energy into the house.

If you have a lot of arguments in your house, you may have too much chi energy in your home. Feng Shui suggests putting plants in rich black soil in the south portion of your home to calm things down.

Bathrooms in the south part of the house are believed to increase your chances of getting sued. Feng Shui prescription is to decorate with tall plants and wood.

Yellow flowers are said to have healing qualities in general. When you place them in the center of your home they keep you centered and balanced.

For financial harmony, surround yourself with red flowers.

Fruit bearing branches represent abundance and good fortune. To keep the berries from falling off longer, scrape the bark off the bottom of the stems before putting them in water so that more water flows up to them.

One of the hottest decorating trends this year is to put single buds in small juice glasses. Place them across a mantle or shelf, or at everyone’s place at the dinner table to keep things calm. Think that will look good in my Pokemon Welch’s jelly glasses?

Or how about a prosperity centerpiece?

1. Place a presoaked floral foam cylinder on a plate. For a small centerpiece, use a 4 inch cylinder.

2. Spread a little of that moss stuff around the bottom edge, or cover the bottom edge with a piece of yellow or red ribbon.

3. Cut your red or yellow (or combination of both) roses to 3 inches long. For the small arrangement, you will need 4 nice sized roses. Push them, evenly spaced, into the top floral cylinder.

4. Now fill in with flowers, leaves, and berry branches.

5. Stick a candle in the center.

For best energy giving results, use fresh flowers. (But Michaels has a 50% off sale on silk flowers pretty often too.)

If you’re looking for some fresh ideas for your gardens outside– here are more feng shui tips-

* Purple flowers planted in the south part of your garden increase passion. Petunias are a good low maintenance choice.

* Deep red flowers planted in the west part of your Garden bring success in business. I have red lilies, of course.

* Creamy white flowers planted in the north part of your garden (not the north side of your house) quiet anxieties. I like either lilies or fragrant roses.

* Ferns and grasses planted in the east part of the garden keep you feeling fresh and vitalized. I have Yucca. Not exactly a fern, actually it’s an evergreen, but I like it.

Next year I want a cutting garden so I can enjoy the benefits of flowers even more!

And for you men reading this thinking, I don’t want to mess with flowers…. I’ve known many manly men who have put together great gardens. My grandfather and my next door neighbor are two of them. And what about that funny guy who does the gardening show on HGTV? I love that show!

Whether indoors or out, and whether you believe in such things as feng shui, working with plants and flowers really is therapeutic. It can be as expensive or as inexpensive as you want. It can be a large project, or a very small one. It can be in any colors. Get creative!

Gardening is not only a good mental exercise, it’s great physical activity too.

And then kick back in your easy chair with the beverage of your choice and relax and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

TIP - How important is a clean house?

According to Feng Shui -

The kitchen is the soul of the home. It feeds and nourishes not only your body, but your spirit as well. Keeping it clean and uncluttered keeps a healthy flow of energy.

Even worse, dust stops the flow of good energy. The act of dusting your home renews your energy, invigorates your spirit and stimulates your optimism. (Plus it can help you lose weight )

Manifesting with the Law of Attraction: Should you expect?

January 17th, 2009 Joann Posted in Law of Attraction, Manifesting, abundance, manifest, negative emotions, positive thoughts No Comments »

To expect something is to anticipate its arrival.  To activate the law of attraction, we should be in a state of being where we are fully confident that the moment we asked for it, it is already so. It is true that expecting is an expression of confidence of the realization of our desire because we are already looking forward to it. However,  it may work against you if its manifestation doesn’t come as scheduled. Remember that the law of attraction works with the natural process of things. Disappointment and frustration could result if it does not come as expected. These strong negative emotions and thoughts may well reverse your positive outcome if you dwell on it long enough.

Expecting can also be viewed as negative in that when we expect, we tend to constantly check if it is there already.  If you are confident that it is already given, why do you constantly check for it? I don’t think it is wise to recommend expecting for the result, especially for beginners or for those who have experienced failures with the law of attraction in the past. I think it is better to let it go and forget about it after sending out pure positive thoughts about your desire. And it will come with out fail.

Letting it go is the ultimate expression of your trust in the law of attraction. It means you are allowing your desire to be. So every morning spend 15 to 20 minutes feeling, affirming and visualizing your positive outcome, then let all thoughts go and forget about it. And instead of expecting for the result, spend the rest of your day in a state of joy, in things that bring you joy, and in appreciation for the abundance around you. You will soon find that the result has manifested when you least expected it.

Sabotage Self-Worth — How Does Not Loving Yourself Play Out in Your World? Part 2

January 13th, 2009 Pamela Skuse Posted in Life, abundance, empowerment, fearful thoughts, love, mindset No Comments »

The consciousness of your energy structure unconsciously projects out what is going on at your deep core level. A façade cannot hide your fears and your baggage. These are the inner conflicting qualities that are projecting out into the community. They are seen within family feuds, community bickering, bureaucratic rules, the serpents of society and global wars.

7 Points on how does ‘not loving yourself’ play out in your world?

* Not loving yourself is contaminating your body with chemicals from inhaling/eating toxic substances that gives a highly addictive-abusive quality that self-destructs the physical.

* Not loving yourself is drinking fluids that produce a drunken lethargic body that does not want to exercise. * Not loving yourself is indulging in foods - the rich sweets and fast foods — the pick-me-ups that produce a swollen gas-filled belly and to store a cloth of fat to protect yourself from not being loved by yourself.

* Not loving yourself is having moods of back stabbing squabbles, snorting in judgmental discontent and creating the bad habits of fighting, manipulating and controlling others in your world.

* Not loving yourself is allowing others to control you, to feed off you, to disempower you to enslave your energy through judgments, appeasement, agendas, obligation and compromise.

* Not loving yourself is feeding yourself with complaining, festering fearful thoughts of belittlement, judgment, disliking self from out-dated and worn-out beliefs or even being physically or mentally attached and obsessed to something or a dependent relationship outside of yourself.

* Not loving yourself is thinking that you do not deserve something, that you must be punished for a sin or error, and that you are not allowing yourself to receive the abundance and the empowerment that you can claim. Your heart cries out to receive your worth. Instead you live with ‘just enough to survive’ that is filled with suffering, hardship and effort — a belief in ‘no pain — no gain’.

The Dualistic Imbalance

* At one over-inflated level of the ego - not loving yourself can contain force, greed and power, through the fear of not being in control and ownership over yourself. It then takes on a quality of trying to control, force, fight, steal and feed-off others to get what you want–to gain love.

* At the bottom level of a squashed ego–not loving yourself is having unworthy, disempowering and self-denial, ‘just enough’ concepts. It is about lacking physical pleasures and comforts that lead to poverty - instead of living in a wonderful abundant environment.

Then what is the deeper energy involved in self-love?

Self-love is not vanity, selfishness or arrogance! All these negative qualities are not love. They are a FEAR!

The fear for you not to love yourself is an imbalance and a lack. It is an over inflated poor self-esteem or a low self-worth inflicted by an unbalanced egotistical intellect, reinforced by mass consciousness hypnotic belief system and overlays. It allows inferiority and unworthiness to surface - to be replaced by an ‘instead’. These issues bring a feeling that you are not good enough, that you have done something wrong, that you feel that you have sinned, a mistake by your creations, an a high power force must save you — and that has created karma of cause and effect. You think you need to be punished for your mistakes and therefore you need to suffer. Look at the world and you will see suffering, hardship, punishment and struggling with ‘just enough to survive’. Then you feel that you don’t deserve. This leaves you with a feeling of guilt, shame and resistance - a destructive energy that destroys what you have built. Resistance brings pain and pain brings suffering - is a rigid belief system of an unbalanced perceptions.

The fear of the indoctrinated belief that self-love is vain, selfish and egotistical to love yourself has allowed you to accept these fearful rules, taught conditions and dogmatic standards within mass consciousness as being true for you. To serve others first and not to love the self was written in the scriptures to bring fear, control and greed upon the masses. The consciousness at the time was low, cruel, barbaric and harsh and it was appropriate at the time. Times have changed; consciousness has risen in a modern technological era, to where these handed down beliefs do not serve you anymore.

When you cannot love and accept yourself, when you are angry, spiteful, jealous and judgmental etc, you are an empty vessel and an empty vessel has nothing to give other than your fearful baggage, agendas and burdens. Yet an empty vessel cannot receive love and abundance because you are in so much denial of accepting yourself or of trying to give everything to others that you ‘miss the boat’ — so to speak and ignore any opportunities that come your way to receive. When you keep giving to others, and you cannot receive you will begin to complain, stating that ‘no one supports you’ that ‘no one appreciates what you do’ and so on.

It is time to let go of old way, old belief structures that have been passed down for centuries. By learning to love yourself, to accept yourself, to honour your 100 percent worth that you have inherited since birth, you will realize that all of your experiences have been about the percentage level of how you have seen yourself, how you have treated yourself and how much you thought you deserved something. Now with a new expanded perception you can still love the worth of yourself without feeding off and disempowering or stealing energies from others and vice versa. The balance is just that — ‘you can have your cake and eat it’ — you can love yourself, you can give yourself the treasures of what life has to offer and you can give that to others along with your compassion, acceptance, honour and blessings and to serve others too if and when they choose to accept it.

Release the Money Madness and Unleash YOUR Money Magic

November 11th, 2008 Edward Mills Posted in Deliberate Creation, Personal Growth, abundance, audio programs, economy, financial freedom, money No Comments »

After last week’s election, there seems to be a lot more hopefulness, at least around here. However, the mainstream media didn’t skip a beat - well maybe one little beat - before jumping right back into the negativity and fear mongering.

Here are a few of the headlines from this week’s financial news sources:

CNN wrote: Recession fear batters Wall Street: Stocks retreat on worries about corporate health amid the global economic slowdown.

ABC wrote: DHL Stamps Out 9500 jobs.

And here are the last three weekly “Vital Signs” headlines from Business Week:

  • Weak Economy Weighs on Profits
  • Employment Outlook Gets Gloomier
  • Business Activity Shows a Deepening Recession

I think you get the picture.

Yes, there is a glimmer of hope. There is some light. But the vast majority of people are still focusing on what? …

That’s right: Negativity. Gloom and doom. Fear, doubt, and uncertainty.

As a Deliberate Creator, you have an unprecedented opportunity, right now, to take advantage of this environment.

Most people are focused on lack. And guess what are they experiencing in their lives?

Exactly. Lack, scarcity. They are watching money flow out of their lives. And as money flows out of their lives they focus on it, which amplifies the energy of lack and so more money flows out. It’s a vicious cycle.

But there is always balance in the universe. There has to be. And the money that is flowing out of people’s lives now - and there is a LOT of it - has to be going somewhere. That money doesn’t just vanish!

And the Deliberate Creators who are able to pull their attention out of the fear, doubt, confusion and chaos that is swirling around, and shift it to the abundance that is available will reap bountiful rewards in this turbulent time.

It happened during the Great Depression and it’s going to happen now. Except that now there are many more high vibration, highly conscious people with the potential to bring that higher level of consciousness to the process.

I recently released an audio program called: Release the Money Madness and Unleash YOUR Money Magic.

There is no cost for you to download Part 1 of the program. And when you do, you’ll discover exactly why this time of financial turbulence provides such an amazing opportunity for financial growth.

You’ll learn how the exclusion of Spirit from our financial interactions has a profound impact on all of our lives and the well-being of our planet.

You’ll learn why this time of crisis is an especially ripe moment for re-injecting sacredness into our relationship with money and why doing so will help take you to the next level of financial abundance.

You’ll learn how to leverage the knowledge that money is energy (you may have heard that statement, but have you ever been shown how to use that knowledge to enhance your financial situation? If not, you’ll definitely want to listen to this program).

And much more.

As I said, there is no cost for Part 1. Here’s why.

I’m using this program to try out the Pay it Forward model.

Basically, I am paying your way into part 1 of this audio program. I feel so strongly that everyone can benefit from this information, that I don’t want there to be anything in your way.

So go download Part 1 of Release the Money Madness and Unleash YOUR Money Magic right now:

Once you have listened to Part 1 you’ll have the opportunity to Pay it Forward. In the recording I tell you more about that opportunity, and why Paying it Forward is such an amazing tool for enhancing your own prosperity!

But for now, go get Part 1, listen to it and be inspired to THRIVE in this environment.
