June 30, Positive Affirmation for Joy

June 30th, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in 5-Integrating/Embodying Affirmations, Monthly Theme: Joy No Comments »

"Today is an opportunity for joy."

… Greetings! Our theme is Joy. These last days of the month we work with integrating and embodying joy at DailyAffirm. Here are comments about today’s affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Truly, every day is an opportunity for joy. DailyAffirm names this last day of June as a special opportunity for joy. When you declare an opportunity, you open a space for joy to show up. Here is a quotation to end this theme: "Where there is joy there is creation. Where there is no joy there is no creation: know the nature of joy." — Upanishads [c. B.C. 800]

About Your Process
I encourage you to take some time today to review your month’s exploration of joy, which has, of course, included some non-joy. Make notes (mentally or in your computer or on paper) about your progress. Identify what you need to do to bring closure to the theme of joy for you. Remind yourself what it feels like to live in the consciousness of joy.

About the Next Type of Affirmations and New Theme
Tomorrow is a new day. A new month. A new theme. The theme is "Transformation." This is a big word for big change. What does it mean to you? Identify your over-arching intention. That is, what intention do you wish to hold with respect to transformation? Here are a few examples intended to inspire, not limit you: "To be in the flow of life." "To drop the old for the new gracefully." "To change/transform from the inside out." "To transform my human consciousness to my higher self consciousness."

Make this a joyful day!

June 29, Positive Affirmation for Joy

June 29th, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in 5-Integrating/Embodying Affirmations, Monthly Theme: Joy No Comments »

"I integrate joy into my life with every breath I breathe."

… Greetings! Our theme is Joy. These last days of the month we work with integrating and embodying joy at DailyAffirm. Here are comments about today’s affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Your breath is always with you. And you take many breaths each day. One in, paired with one out. Followed by another breath in and out. Some breaths may be shallow; others, deep. Some breaths may be relaxed; others, strained. When you embrace the idea of this wonderful affirmation, you use your breath to integrate and embody joy. In my guided meditations I often say, "breathe in light and breathe out anything unlike the light." And I say many other variations, for example, "breathe in joy, breathe out non-joy." Breathe in what you desire to feel, breathe out what you do not need or desire. Every breath gives you an opportunity to embody joy.

About Your Process
Do you have two minutes? Just two. Good. Take a long, deep breath that clears you with the out-breath and opens you with the in-breath. Very good. Now relax. Slow down. Identify one situation or project or relationship — something that you have been focusing on this month. Close your eyes for a few seconds if that helps you to identify a relevant subject. Continue to breathe deeply. Breathe light into this subject; breathe out heaviness. Breathe in joy; breathe out non-joy. Continue to relax and integrate joy and embody light. When your two minutes have passed, congratulate yourself for receiving this gift of joyful relaxation.

Positive Affirmations for the Week of June 22-30, Joy

June 22nd, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in 4-Acting/Claiming Affirmations, 5-Integrating/Embodying Affirmations, Monthly Theme: Joy, Week 4-Plus, Weekly Messages No Comments »

Greetings in the last week-plus of June with the theme of Joy at DailyAffirm. This message serves as an overview for the acting and claiming affirmations of this fourth week and the integrating and embodying affirmations of the last three days of the month. The sidebars provide you with additional information. Read the messages Day by Day, or simply check in when the spirit moves you. If you prefer to receive an email alert each time a message is published, please subscribe to the Feedblitz announcement (see the lower part of the navigation bar).

About Acting/Claiming Affirmations and Joy
This week’s affirmations help you to step out in joy and with joy. You have been clearing yourself and readying yourself for these outward expressions and manifestations. If you are not quite ready to ACT from the consciousness of joy, then the better choice is to retreat or stand still. Acting from non-joy is detrimental. Focusing on these affirmations keeps your attention on joy and can make you more ready to claim joy later if you are not quite ready now.

About your Process in the Fourth Week
Here is a suggestion for working with this week’s affirmations. Each time you act, ask yourself, "Am I in the consciousness of joy?" Of course, you "act" hundreds of times a day. It may seem unreasonable to you to consider asking yourself "Am I in the consciousness of joy?" hundreds of times a day. Yet, think about it…. you are asking yourself something, so you might as well enhance your awareness with questions such as, "Am I in the consciousness of joy?" Or, "How can I act in the consciousness of joy?" Some of the questions you ordinarily ask yourself may be disempowering, for example, "What have I done wrong this time?" Or neutral, for example, "I wonder who that is (on the phone or at the door)?" Or empowering, "Is this worthy of my attention?" Let the questions you ask yourself this week be about manifesting with joy.

About the Affirmations in the Fourth Week
Usually I find it easy to select the definitive affirmation for the week — or I make up a new one! This week challenges me because I love how most seem to embody so many of the aspects of the ideas of acting and claiming joy. So I select the one which represents an idea that I have experienced many folks are working on right now: "I draw a circle of joy to establish who I am." — the affirmation for June 26.

About Integrating/Embodying Affirmations and Joy
I love the idea of integrating learnings and experiences. I jokingly say that I developed this fifth category of affirmations because I had to do something with those remaining days of the month, but the truth is that this concept of integration is essential and not an afterthought. It is often missed. It is important to honor the in-breath as much as the out-breath. One aspect of the process of integration is to let go of anything you do not need during or after an experience while you keep, use, and experience what you desire.

About your Process in the Remaining Days
As you say "yes to joy" and open to let every situation be an opportunity for joy to express, give yourself permission to release any ideas that do not resonate for you. Be as specific as you can. At the same time you sort through the thoughts and feelings to release, allow your consciousness to embody all those thoughts and feelings you wish to keep. If you have been journaling about the affirmations or if you have completed other exercises, review those. Clean up your email files, etc.

Make this a powerful week-plus!

About Our Next Theme (When Tomorrow is Today)
It is a new month: June. The theme is Joy. When I originally meditated on this theme in preparation for the daily writing, I heard the song "Joy to the World" ringing in my ears. This is not the version sung in Christian churches at Christmas time, but the delightful 3-Dog Night version, the one about "joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea, joy to you and me. Jooooy to the World." During the first week, we work with Releasing/Cleansing Affirmations.

Make this an opportune day!

May 30, Positive Affirmation for Trust

May 30th, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in 5-Integrating/Embodying Affirmations, Monthly Theme: Trust No Comments »

I integrate trust into every aspect of my life.

Greetings! Our theme is Trust. These last days of the month we work with integrating and embodying trust at DailyAffirm. Here are comments about today’s affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Every means every. Every aspect of your life includes the places and things and people you think about as well as the obvious aspects, such as career, relationship, health, family, home. As you give your thoughts — your attention — to other people, places, things, and ideas, you include them in your life. So it is important that your thoughts be worthy of your attention.

About Your Process
Is there any little — or big — part of your life in which trust needs to be integrated? You may find that simply inviting trust to exist in this place is all that is needed. Perhaps you feel it is more complicated or that something else has to happen first. Can you trust yourself to let go of all the conditions and qualifiers and excuses and complaints and habits to just trust? I believe in you. I believe you can just trust, starting right now. Today. This minute. Instantly. At once. Immediately. Instantaneously. Unhesitantly. Tout de suite. Now.

Yes to Trust!

Greetings! Our theme is Trust. These last days of the month we work with integrating and embodying trust at DailyAffirm. Here are comments about today’s affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Yes, this is a time of integrating trust. Yes, this is a time of embodying trust. In an article that is online at my Web site ("Strategies for the Highest Good"), I include the following as one of the strategies: "Know that the Universe has only one response: it is yes. When you say, "I hate that," the Universe says "yes" by providing experiences of hatred because hatred has your attention. When you say "I love that," the Universe responds with experiences of love because love has your attention. The beliefs and thoughts you hold have an energy that travels; that same energy travels back to you, magnified."

About Your Process
To what do you desire to say "yes"? Is it trust? Is it deep trust? Is it trust in a particular thing or idea? Is it trust in yourself? Is it trust in the Universe? As you focus firmly on your vision of trust, be certain that you use this powerful concept expressed in this affirmation to produce the experiences you truly desire. Yes is a powerful fuel that activates conditions and experiences.

Positive Affirmations for the Week of May 22-31, Trust

May 22nd, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in 4-Acting/Claiming Affirmations, 5-Integrating/Embodying Affirmations, Monthly Theme: Trust, Week 4-Plus, Weekly Messages No Comments »

Greetings! This message serves as an overview for the acting and claiming affirmations of this fourth week and the integrating and embodying of the last three days of the month at DailyAffirm. The sidebars provide you with additional information. Read the messages Day by Day, or simply check in when the spirit moves you. If you prefer to receive the daily messages by email, please subscribe to one of our email alert lists (check the options at the bottom of the navigation bar).

About Acting/Claiming Affirmations and Trust
First of all, remember that "stop" and "silence" are also aspects of acting and claiming. I say this so that you do not interpret the affirmations this week as needing to be aggressive or noisy. Trust, itself, has a rather quiet energy — smooth, and calming. When you envision yourself or others acting with trust, you usually see confidence, assurance, peace. Trust is, first and foremost, an act of self-trust. When you trust yourself, you know when others are trustworthy.

About your Process in the Fourth Week
Since your "process" is about "how" you do things, you might want to focus on how you act when you trust. Observe yourself, for example, when you trust yourself or a situation or another person. . . How does this feel? How do you think about the objects of trust? How do you speak? How do you give your attention to something or someone? How do you show that you trust? Observe yourself, also, when you do not trust yourself or a situation or another person. . . How does this feel? How do your feelings connect with your thoughts? How do you speak? How do your actions, words, and thoughts align with your attention?

About the Affirmations in the Fourth Week
If I were to select the definitive affirmation for the week to represent being and intending for trust it would be "I let every act be an act of trust," the affirmation for May 27. When you know the truth of this affirmation, you learn about trust through everything you do.

About Integrating/Embodying Affirmations and Trust
Bless these remaining days of the month, days that allow you to integrate and embody the theme of trust. It is not so important that you learn something new, but that you know what you have learned in the deepest possible way. Breathe trust into your lungs and cells and muscles. Relax; reflect.

About your Process in the Remaining Days
If you have been writing about your experiences this month, you might want to review your notes. Anything that does not fit can be released. Relax and allow the integration to happen effortlessly. Rejoice in the consciousness of trust.

Make this a splendid week-plus!

April 30, Positive Affirmation for Clarity

April 30th, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in 5-Integrating/Embodying Affirmations, Monthly Theme: Clarity No Comments »

Today is an opportunity for clarity.

Greetings! Our theme is Clarity. These last days of the month we work with integrating and embodying clarity at DailyAffirm. Here are comments about today’s affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
"Today is an opportunity" is printed on the inside flap of the book on which these affirmations are based. When you consider that every day is an opportunity, you are right! You find what you seek. Feel Clarity in every cell of your being as this month comes to a close.

About Your Process
This is the last day of April; this is the last day for exploring clarity as a theme on DailyAffirm until next year. But, as with all the monthly themes, you will find that clarity is an important energy to tap into on a regular basis. As you reflect on your experiences this month, consider how you have changed. Many of you send email messages to tell me how these affirmations are supporting you in changing your consciousness. When you notice your own evolution, you evolve even more.

Yes to Clarity!

Greetings! Our theme is Clarity. These last days of the month we work with integrating and embodying clarity at DailyAffirm. Here are comments about today’s affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Yes to Clarity! Yes to Life! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! "Yes" is one of the shortest, clearest affirmations you can say to create your heart’s desire.

About Your Process
As you talk with someone, notice where the clarity is in the conversation. As you eat your meals, notice how clarity shows up in the food or on the plate or at the table. If "nonclarity" comes into your awareness, no problem, just use the nonclarity to remind you that you want clarity.

  • "Say Goodbye to Struggle" encourages us to end the practice of glorifying struggles of life.
  • "One Thought at a Time" is a short poem about a simple approach for experiencing greater happiness as a result of intentional positive thought choices.

About the Book of the Month Recommendation
This month’s recommended book speaks eloquently to the importance of living in the present moment. Greater and greater clarity comes into our lives when we practice awareness of the now. The constant now is a clear consciousness from which we can create magnificence. I recommend The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment by Eckhart Tolle. Please read my book comments.

Positive Affirmations for the Week of April 22-30, Clarity

April 22nd, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in 4-Acting/Claiming Affirmations, 5-Integrating/Embodying Affirmations, Monthly Theme: Clarity, Week 4-Plus, Weekly Messages No Comments »

Greetings! This message serves as an overview for the acting and claiming affirmations of this fourth week and the integrating and embodying of the last three days of the month. Read the information on the sidebars for additional information. The messages will be here for you Day by Day. Check in as often as you want; participate in the ways that are appropriate for you. If you prefer to receive the daily messages by email, please subscribe to one of our email alert lists (check the options on the navigation bar).

About Acting/Claiming Affirmations and Clarity
To act with clarity is powerful when you acknowledge divine clarity. If you believe you know who is right and wrong and who is bad and good, this is not divine clarity, but self righteousness. A clear and high intention sets the foundation for actions that are clear and rewarding. Every action you take is an opportunity for personal development and empowerment. More important, every action is an opportunity for joy and further clarity.

About your Process in the Fourth Week
Each day this week, you may want to become more conscious of each action in these ways: (1) Set an intention for the action; (2) Write down the intention; (3) Be fully present in the action; (4) Reflect on the action afterward to determine if what you manifested was in alignment with the original intention; (5) Be good to yourself while you are learning as well as after mastering this process.

About the Affirmations in the Fourth Week
If I were to select the definitive affirmation for the week to represent being and intending for clarity it would be “I let every act be an act of clarity” which is the affirmation for April 27. It associates the idea of clarity with everything that you do.

About Integrating/Embodying Affirmations and Clarity
These two days, following the four weeks of April, present an opportunity to integrate the ideas about clarity that you wish to take with you on the rest of your journey. Anything that does not fit, leave alone. If you try to take on something that you cannot assimilate, you will make the releasing work of the beginning of May more difficult. Trust yourself to know what works for you.

About your Process in the Remaining Days
You may find it helpful to identify some of the affirmations that stood out as particularly meaningful to you this month. If you have kept a journal, you will reinforce and therefore further integrate the ideas by reviewing your journal entries. Rereading selected messages for this month will assist you in embodying the concepts.

Make this a powerful week-plus!

March 31, Positive Affirmation for Balance

March 31st, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in 5-Integrating/Embodying Affirmations, Monthly Theme: Balance No Comments »

Today is an opportunity for balance.

Greetings! Our theme is Balance. These last days of the month we work with integrating and embodying balance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Today is all you have. The past and future are helpful reference points, but you can only live today. It is an opportunity. It is an opportunity for balance. It is also an opportunity for anything else you wish to learn or achieve or experience. A wonderful variation on this affirmation is "Today is an opportunity." Another variation is to replace the word "balance" with another word or phrase, for example, a synonym (e.g., evenness, harmony, effortlessness) or a place for balance to show up (e.g., in my job, in my life, in the world).

About Your Process
I encourage you today (the last day of the month) to play with this idea of balance. As you walk, you may notice how your weight shifts and balances itself on the right and then the left. As you talk, listen to the cadence of your voice. Notice the evenness of thoughts as they flow through your mind. Let every thing be an opportunity for balance. Embody balance.

March 30, Positive Affirmation for Balance

March 30th, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in 5-Integrating/Embodying Affirmations, Monthly Theme: Balance No Comments »

I integrate balance into every aspect of my life.

Greetings! Our theme is Balance. These last days of the month we work with integrating and embodying balance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
As you read or affirm today’s statement, you may become aware of the aspect(s) of your life in which you feel or sense you have not integrated balance. Let this awareness be good news — the good news of feedback. Feedback tells you where you need to work, where to give your attention. Feedback is not a sign of failure but a gift of information for an opportunity for growth. If you experience balance in one aspect of your life, you can expand it into other aspects. Balance is balance is balance. Only you know what balance is for you. Touch its vibration where you can, so that you can open to it in other parts and places.

About Your Process
During these integrating/embodying days, you may notice some aspects of balance or non-balance that require future or ongoing attention. Soon DailyAffirm moves to another theme for the affirmations, but your balance (or non-balance!) remains with you. If you have a practice of journaling important events and transitions, you may wish to journal about your passage. Perhaps your passage is from unawareness of balance to awareness of what in your life needs to be balanced. Perhaps your passage is from conscious awareness of balance to effortless integration of balance. Celebrate the transition and name it, as appropriate for you.

About the Book of the Month Recommendation
One of the quickest and best ways to know if something is
balanced or not is to notice the energy field. When you are
good at this, the knowledge of balance is instantaneous and
highly accurate. Here is a book that helps you to learn
about energy, energy healing, and energy fields. It is
called "Energy Medicine" by Donna Eden. Please read my
book comments

March 29, Positive Affirmation for Balance

Yes to Balance!

Greetings! Our theme is Balance. These last days of the month we work with integrating and embodying balance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
One of the simplest affirmations in the language is "yes." "No" is also an affirmation, but it is a little trickier because the meaning of the word says "no" while the focus of attention to the not-wanted thing says "yes." The more clear you are about what you desire in your life, the more clear you are about what you do not desire in your life. The more clear you are about what you do not desire in your life, the more clear you are about what you desire in your life. I want to be counted today as one who votes yes! to balance.

About Your Process
Are you with me? Do you also want to say yes! to balance? You have been working toward the integration and embodiment of balance all month. Today and for two more days you are supported by Integrating/Embodying Affirmations specifically designed to give you an opportunity to take the theme deeper into your consciousness. I know from my personal consulting work and workshops how very important it is to allow people to integrate what they have learned. There are many techniques: journaling, meditation, silence, review, reflection, doing something completely different. So, select an integrating technique such as these or others you prefer to work with today and the next few days.

Positive Affirmations for the Week of March 22-31, Balance

March 22nd, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in 4-Acting/Claiming Affirmations, 5-Integrating/Embodying Affirmations, Monthly Theme: Balance, Week 4-Plus, Weekly Messages No Comments »

About Acting/Claiming Affirmations and Balance
Since everything is constantly in a state of change, it is important to be cognizant of balance when you are moving as well as when you are still. Whether you are moving from the inside to the outside, from outside to inside, from higher to lower, or from lower to higher, tap into your desire to to achieve balance. Act from balance; act in balance; act to balance; act as balance.

About your Process in the Fourth Week
Think of balance as an energy that fuels your thoughts, feelings, and actions. During this week, you may wish to focus on one specific priority in your life to direct the flow of balance. Keep your focus on both balance and the priority, and you cannot fail to achieve balance. Put your attention elsewhere and you fuel that other thing. Balance. Priority. Balance. Priority. Balance. Priority.

About the Affirmations in the Fourth Week
If I were to select the definitive affirmation for the week to represent being and intending for balance it would be the affirmation for March 27: “I let every act be an act of balance. I act from deep integrity.” This keeps the attention on both actions and balance (the week’s process and this month’s theme respectively) as well as integrity.

About Integrating/Embodying Affirmations and Balance
Let this week’s affirmations support you in reflecting on the month’s exploration of balance. Every situation can teach you about balance. Say Yes! to balance today and every day. You do not need to wait for any particular event or circumstance to change. Acknowledge balance right now.

About your Process in the Remaining Days
Select your special techniques for embodying and integrating ideas, feelings, and experiences. For example: journaling, reflecting on highlights, reviewing the previous DailyAffirm messages and any exercises you may have done with the affirmations. As you meditate on balance, reflect on the whole month and weed out anything on your desk or computer that makes you feel imbalanced, indecisive, or overloaded.

Make this a wonderful week-plus!

February 29, Positive Affirmation for Love

February 29th, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in 5-Integrating/Embodying Affirmations, Monthly Theme: Love No Comments »

Today is an opportunity for love.
Every day is an opportunity for love.

Greetings! Our theme is Love. This last days of the month we work with integrating and embodying hope. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and other resources.

About This Affirmation
First of all, this is an unusual day — it has not been on the calendar for eight years. I had an uncle who attributed his long life to being born on this day. I remember his excitement at his 21st birthday party with his great grandchildren! Today, open yourself so wide that love can express itself through you. Love desires to be expressed, and who better than through you? Look around each corner to find the opportunity for love. Sip love with your morning coffee, tea, or warm lemon water. Read love into your reports and daily tasks.

About Your Process
These are the last love affirmations, but not the last day for love. You may want to flash back to the over-arching intention you set at the beginning of the month or when you began this process. Ask yourself if you are clearer about what love means to you. Feel love flow through your veins. Let it integrate into each breath you breathe. Experience love shower you with its healing vibration.

About Our Next Theme
Tomorrow is a new month, with a new theme. The theme is balance. Before you receive the first affirmation, I suggest that you take a few moments to determine an over-arching intention about balance. Consider also what balance means to you.

Make this an affirming day!
