Positive Affirmations for the Week of May 15-21, Trust

May 15th, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in 3-Being/Intending Affirmations, Monthly Theme: Trust, Week 3, Weekly Messages No Comments »

Greetings! In this message, I’ll give you an overview of the next seven days of the DailyAffirm Process. The sidebars provide you with additional information. Read the messages Day by Day, or simply check in when the spirit moves you. If you prefer to receive the daily messages by email, please subscribe to one of our email alert lists (check the options at the bottom of the navigation bar).

Remind yourself of your over-arching intention for trust.

About Being/Intending Affirmations and Trust
"To be or not to be. That is the question." These are famous words from Shakespeare’s "Hamlet," of course. Trusting that it is worthwhile to be alive in physical form is an issue that many persons face at some time in their lives. In the deepest time of non-trust, a tiny spark of light may be all that is needed to kindle your inner trust. Or you may be that spark of light for another who is ready to awaken from the darkness. This is a time of awakening! You have your own style of awakening — with a yawn or a grumble or a leap or one sleepy eye slowly opening. You must awaken in order to be who you are here on earth to be. Your acquired habits of do, do, do can put you firmly in the do-do. Activities that keep you from being authentic and fulfilled can be refocused with clear intention.

About your Process in the Third Week
This week, go deeper into the idea of your intention of trust. You can dabble on the surface and think about whether you trust this person or that idea or a decision you have made. Or you can go deeper and live with the ideas that relate to self-trust. Or you can go still deeper and explore Trust in Self and the Divine. I challenge you to go to the core of Trust. If you were to live with the definitive question related to Trust and Being/Intending, it is "Who am I?" This is a question you can ask yourself hundreds of times a day, yielding a different and viable answer to each iteration.

About the Affirmations in the Third Week
If I were to select the definitive affirmation for the week to represent being and intending for Trust it would be the affirmation for May 19: "I remember to trust. I trust myself. I remember who I Am." These three sentences help us to connect more deeply with the true meaning of trust and our personal mission.

Make this a meaningful week!

I understand the meaning of clarity.
I know that clarity comes from the divine.

Greetings! Our theme is Clarity. This third week of the month we work with our being and intention for clarity. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Recognizing that clarity comes from the divine deepens your understanding and appreciation of this month’s theme. Since today’s affirmation acknowledges comprehension of clarity, it is an ideal day to re-visit your over-arching intention for the month. Open to understanding on all levels — physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual — recognizing that understanding is not simply an intellectual exercise. Align with the divine.

About Your Process
I suggest that you reflect on your relationship with the Divine. You may find that you choose to experience a deeper meditation than your usual practice, or walk longer in the woods or mountains, or journal at your keyboard. The divine is everywhere. You need not go on a formal retreat to be conscious of the divine. You are from the divine. You are with the divine. You are the divine. You are divine. Just realize it.

April 19, Positive Affirmation for Clarity

April 19th, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in 3-Being/Intending Affirmations, Monthly Theme: Clarity No Comments »

I remember clarity. I am clear.
I remember who I Am.

Greetings! Our theme is Clarity. This third week of the month we work with our being and intention for clarity. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
You might sometimes have difficulty remembering dates or what you wore last Friday or what you said in the heat of anger. This is one type of remembering, which you can surely include in today’s affirmation. However, the affirmation challenges you to remember at a deeper level. To remember "Who I am" helps you to be centered in your mission. To remember "Who I Am" can lead you to mystical experiences. To remember "Who I Am" clarifies your presence on the earth plane.

About Your Process
You may find that you wish to add other sentences or repeat each of these in a rhythmical cadence, as a chant. You may even hear a drumbeat as you read or say the words. Sounds are powerful for creation. Feelings enhance your process. Music enhances your memory. You may also find that saying the words "I remember" when referring to minor details assists you in the deeper remembering. And if you hear yourself say repeatedly "I can’t remember," today is a memorable day to stop that habit, unless it is about something that you prefer to forget.

I envision a clear path.
My mission is to see the world clearly.

Greetings! Our theme is Clarity. This third week of the month we work with our being and intention for clarity. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
A path of clarity opens up for you when you set an intention to be clear. Your path may be straight or meandering, wide or narrow, high or low, fast or slow. As you walk along your own unique path, you grow and develop in a way that helps you to understand more clearly about your purpose in the world. At times you may be unclear because of confusing or conflicting details, however, you can find it reassuring to affirm clarity while trusting the degree of clarity that you experience.

About Your Process
While you are in motion today (walking, running, contemplating, driving, talking, etc.), consider the dynamics of your path. How does it feel? What does it look like? Where is it going? What is your intention as you move along the path? Do you desire to change its direction or other aspects of your journey? What do you most need or desire to know with respect to your path, to clarity, and/or to your mission in the world?

High intention operates in the midst of clarity.
Clarity operates in the midst of high intention.

Greetings! Our theme is Clarity. This third week of the month we work with our being and intention for clarity. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Choose either or both statements to be your affirmation today. Feel the movement of clarity in the high intention you hold for events and experiences. Let yourself become a space for clarity to operate. Imagine yourself as a vessel or channel or conduit for clarity. Open and let yourself experience the fullness that you came into the world to know, waiting for no condition and lacking nothing essential for your process. Align your intention with your life mission.

About Your Process
Two days ago, I suggested that you set an intention for an upcoming event/situation. Did you set an intention? Has the event/situation happened yet? If so, what was your experience with creating a high intention? If the event/situation has not yet occurred or is ongoing, continue to work with high intention and clarity so that you become familiar with the consciousness and the feelings.

April 16, Positive Affirmation for Clarity

April 16th, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in 3-Being/Intending Affirmations, Monthly Theme: Clarity No Comments »

I deepen my awareness of the consciousness of clarity,
from which my enlightened actions spring.

Greetings! Our theme is Clarity. This third week of the month we work with our being and intention for clarity. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Clarity is/has a consciousness which is discernible. Each day this month helps you to walk closer and closer to a deep understanding of clarity. Today, touch this consciousness of clarity in a way that has meaning for you. Your actions spring from the consciousness with which you resonate. If you resonate with violence, your actions are violent toward yourself and/or others. If you resonate with peace, your actions are peaceful toward yourself and/or others. Your task is to resonate as much as possible with the consciousness of clarity so that you do not confuse yourself or others by being inconsistent.

About Your Process
Imagine that the consciousness of clarity is a pool of substance, perhaps like water — maybe thicker, maybe thinner. Imagine also the container that holds the substance that you choose. Now, go dip into the pool. You may want to swim in the pool, naked or with a bathing suit. Do what feels safe, even if a bit unfamiliar. Touch clarity. What does it feel like? See clarity. What does it look like? Hear clarity. What does it sound like? Know clarity. What is its wisdom? The more familiar you are with the consciousness of clarity, the more you will be able to sustain a relationship with clarity.

April 15, Positive Affirmation for Clarity

April 16th, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in 3-Being/Intending Affirmations, Monthly Theme: Clarity No Comments »

I know that clarity leads to the highest good for all.

Greetings! Our theme is Clarity. This third week of the month we work with our being and intention for clarity. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
It is important to learn to hold an intention for the highest good for all. This is true whether you are clear or not clear about the dynamics of the situation. In fact, intending the highest good brings you clarity. High intention and clarity go hand in hand, like friends. Clearly, one of the most potent ideas you can hold is that life operates for the highest good for all. This idea is one of the cornerstones of the foundation for living a joyful life.

About Your Process
Please reconnect with your over-arching intention for clarity. This week, the Being/Intending affirmations bring the idea of intention into your everyday life. I suggest you identify a specific event that is coming up for you — a meeting or a presentation or a task. (Right now, before you click to another URL.) You may find it particularly helpful to identify something that is challenging you or something about which you have been procrastinating. Set an intention for clarity in this event/situation or use today’s affirmation as your intention for this event/situation. Keep tapping the energy of high intention and the energy of clarity as you proceed toward and through this situation and this day.

Positive Affirmations for the Week of April 15-21, Clarity

April 16th, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in 3-Being/Intending Affirmations, Monthly Theme: Clarity, Week 3, Weekly Messages No Comments »

Greetings! In this message, I’ll give you an overview of the next seven days of the DailyAffirm Process. The sidebars provide you with additional information. Read the messages Day by Day or, simply check in when the spirit moves you. If you prefer to receive the daily messages by email, please subscribe to one of our email alert lists (check the options at the bottom of the navigation bar).

About Being/Intending Affirmations and Clarity
As you know, I recommend at the beginning of each month that you create or identify an over-arching intention for the theme. Here in the middle of the month, we explore intention more deeply. "To intend" and "to be" are similar, but not precisely the same — which is why I slash them. It is wise to explore intention and being before acting and claiming and more meaningful to do so after emptying (Releasing/Cleansing) and opening to be filled anew (Receiving/Accepting). However, there is no wrong time to tap into your intention or deepen your relationship to it.

About your Process in the Third Week
I have found that folks who really want to learn about intention are greatly supported by writing statements of intention for simple, ordinary events in their lives. Say, for example, you have a meeting next Thursday which you believe may be challenging. In the past, this group has had tedious meetings with little accomplished. So, you set a high intention for the meeting and write it down: "To experience open communication and clear direction for the highest good for all." Watch your meeting change! Please note: setting high intention is not a technique, but a powerful principle. Writing down the high intention is a technique. Please also note: you may want to establish goals and outcomes for events in addition to your high intention. The intention is the consciousness in which you are present at the meeting; goals and outcomes are related to the actions of the meeting.

I find that folks who really want to learn about being are greatly supported by various forms of meditation and relaxation, depending on their life style. Many like to go to the mountain top or the deep woods for solitude or to listen deeply to their inner guidance. These are great approaches and it is important to be and to intend in the midst of an ordinary day.

About the Affirmations in the Third Week
If I were to select the definitive affirmation for the week to represent being and intending for clarity it would be "My intention is to be clear for the highest good of all." It is clear and straightforward.

Be this week!

March 21, Positive Affirmation for Balance

March 21st, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in 3-Being/Intending Affirmations, Monthly Theme: Balance No Comments »

Balance enhances all my thoughts and feelings.
I give my attention to balance.

Greetings! Our theme is Balance. This third week of the month we work with our being and intention for balance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
That to which you give your attention expands. So, give your attention to balance! Many folks give lots of attention to imbalance, so imbalance expands. Certainly you need to be aware of aspects of imbalance and instability and disharmony, but too much attention to these dynamics expands them. Notice in a matter-of-fact or detached way while giving your primary attention — your energy — to balance and to those ideas and feelings that help you to experience balance.

About Your Process
Today is the last day of the Being/Intending Affirmations. I suggest you do three things before moving into the next genre of affirmations: (1) consider if there is anything else you want to become or be or know or intend with respect to balance, (2) re-visit the over-arching intention you set for balance, and (3) ascertain if you are ready to be powerfully balanced. Since these affirmations are designed as a process, it is important that you feel ready to proceed. If you need more time to ponder being and intending with respect to balance, take the time.

March 20, Positive Affirmation for Balance

March 20th, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in 3-Being/Intending Affirmations, Monthly Theme: Balance, Uncategorized No Comments »

I understand the meaning of balance.
I know that balance transcends duality.

Greetings! Our theme is Balance. This third week of the month we work with our being and intention for balance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Duality is a helpful concept while you are experiencing life on the earth plane. Many folks believe that they must experience bad in order to understand or appreciate good. I find this a limiting belief. While it is true that you can and do learn about good as a result of experiencing bad, I observe that many people dwell too long in the negativity (the “bad”) rather than catching the desire or vision that the negativity can help to define. Of course, there are many dualities other than good and bad that are more empowering — left and right, in and out, up and down, comfortable and uncomfortable, feels good and feels not-good. As you reflect on your definition of balance, include in it the idea of finding a specific duality that empowers you.

About Your Process
An excellent way to appreciate duality is to write with both hands — one at a time — as I suggest in the writing affirmations process. As you move from writing with the dominant to the non-dominant hand, your world changes. One is not better than the other, but different from the other. You can also appreciate duality by becoming aware of a thought, and then intentionally becoming aware of the opposite thought, and then blending the two or looking for commonality in the extremes. Both of these are helpful exercises in relating to duality in your human consciousness.

March 19, Positive Affirmation for Balance

March 19th, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in 3-Being/Intending Affirmations, Monthly Theme: Balance No Comments »

I remember how to balance. I remember to embody balance.
I remember who I am.

Greetings! Our theme is Balance. This third week of the month we work with our being and intention for balance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Perhaps when you speak of remembering or forgetting you are usually referring to facts, dates, tasks, names, and the like. In speaking of remembering balance, you can go to another level of awareness: to intention, purpose, mission, existence, and the like. These three sentences strung together may not be as literary as one sentence. However, they have more power as an affirmation in these three steps. The three-sentence format is conducive to adding other sentences or rearranging the ideas in each of the existing sentences in a way that works just for you.

About Your Process
As you read through or work with today’s affirmation, ponder the meaning of each sentence. If you choose to repeatedly read or write or say the affirmation, you will notice the meaning(s) change with repetition. Of course, if you choose to rewrite this into one sentence, feel free. As I frequently remind you: make the process work for you! Today, above all else, remember who you are — I mean truly remember who you are.

March 18, Positive Affirmation for Balance

March 18th, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in 3-Being/Intending Affirmations, Monthly Theme: Balance No Comments »

My mission is to experience balance in my world.
I am aligned with the divine.

Greetings! Our theme is Balance. This third week of the month we work with our being and intention for balance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
This is a powerful idea to ponder. Of course, you have your own personal mission for being here on the planet. Consider, though, what the world would be like if you dedicated yourself to experiencing balance in your own world, that is, in the space in which you focus your life. The divine is balance, so attuning to the divine with loving feelings and thoughts helps you to experience balance in your life.

About Your Process
I challenge you to work with today’s affirmation in a way that you do not usually work with the affirmations. Consider varying your process, just to stretch yourself. Perhaps the change is the time you spend with the affirmation. If you usually take a quick peek and forget the affirmation for the rest of the day, experiment with taking longer. If you usually take a long time, just take a quick peek. Perhaps the change is your approach to expressing it. If you usually read it quietly, try chanting or singing it. If you usually write it, try drawing a visual image that represents the affirmation. If you usually read it right side up, read it upside down.

March 17, Positive Affirmation for Balance

High intention operates in the midst of balance.
Balance operates in the midst of high intention.

Greetings! Our theme is Balance. This third week of the month we work with our being and intention for balance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
Today’s affirmation is meaningful when using either or both sentences. While the words are reversed, the meaning is not. Balance and high intention operate together. Understanding the power of intention is essential for positive change. Everything (Everything!) is in constant change! However, it is more empowering to feel that change happens for the good of all — for the best. In other words, change needs to be more than mere movement to be empowering.

About Your Process
This affirmation seems to have the rhythm of a chant. You may hear drums or harps, depending on your perspective. Or perhaps you feel the rhythm or the movement; you may hear associated sounds that tell you the extent to which this affirmation resonates for you. Experience the balance of the affirmation; experience the balance in your life that you are intending as a result of working with this affirmation.

March 16, Positive Affirmation for Balance

March 16th, 2008 Jeanie Marshall Posted in 3-Being/Intending Affirmations, Monthly Theme: Balance No Comments »

I deepen my awareness of the consciousness of balance,
from which my empowering actions spring.

Greetings! Our theme is Balance. This third week of the month we work with our being and intention for balance. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles.

About Today’s Affirmation
All actions come from consciousness. You may or may not be aware of your process, which is one of the reasons that simple questions like “What is your/my intention?” and “Where is your/my attention?” are so valuable. When you ask these questions, you want to ask them so that they empower, not accuse or blame. Touching your intention usually deepens it. Giving your attention to something means giving your energy, which expands the focus of your attention. Simply asking these two questions (regardless of the answers) lifts your consciousness. Well-constructed questions can be useful for your whole lifetime. Answers change from moment to moment and situation to situation, temporarily useful (sometimes). In addition to the above, here are a few more of my favorite questions: “What is the most empowering thing I can do or say right now?” “What is worthy of my attention?” “What is my true desire?” “Who am I?”

About Your Process
Identify a particular situation you face today — glorious or challenging, large or small, short-term or long-time. Then select one or more of the questions above and write your answers with respect to the identified situation. After you have surfaced enough ideas to give you greater clarity about the situation, write a high intention for empowerment or balance with respect to the situation.
