September 2, Positive Affirmation for Abundance

"I rescind obsolete vows of
struggle, poverty, sacrifice, and unworthiness."

… Greetings! Our theme is Abundance at DailyAffirm, http://dailyaffirm.wordpress.com. This first week of the month we work with releasing and cleansing non-peace. Following today’s affirmation are comments about the affirmation, suggestions for your process, and information about related articles. See top tabs and navigation bar links for more information and resources.

DailyAffirm is celebrating its fourteenth Anniversary this month! Celebrate with us. Tell your friends. End your limiting beliefs about money!

About Today’s Affirmation
This "rescinding vows of limitation" affirmation applies only to outdated vows, not to current, desired vows. A vow is an oath, promise, pledge, commitment, declaration, etc. When initially promised, vows may have been conscious or unconscious, formal or informal, intentional or unintentional, religious or secular.

Words such as "never" and "always" and "forever" punctuate vows with longevity (eternity is a long time). Intensity adds further impact. "I’ll never be good enough" is a powerful vow of limitation. "I will struggle to my death" is a vow of limitation which can be active according to your beliefs about death. "I give all my money and property to God" is a rather interesting vow of poverty, since the universal source of energy does not have much use for money or property.

Many such vows have been reinforced in the energy field generation after generation, transferred through culture, custom, and heredity. As you release these outdated vows, you also release yourself, which many refer to as "forgiveness."

About Your Process
In addition to working with today’s affirmation by writing or saying it, you may find it helpful to identify the exact vow or statement that you most desire to rescind. What past vows of limitation are relevant to your situation? "You’ll never have everything you want" may be the statement of a loving parent cushioning a child against disappointment, but it has the impact of a vow of limitation for the child who grows to an adult with the same limitation. Someone growing up with the adage "The love of money is the root of all evil" is unlikely to have a positive relationship with money, or love for that matter. "If you work hard, you will make money" has a panorama of paths to conditions of happiness or unhappiness, easy or hard work, money or lack of it.
